I was approached by two men at the gym today.

I had my headphones on and was on a machine. A boomer came over and tapped my shoulder and then backed about two feet away. He asked if I was open to feedback and I said yes. He suggested adjusting my form a bit to target X muscle group better. I said thanks and he immediately left without hanging around or touching me.

A few mins later I was doing front crunches with a foam roller and an enormous bodybuilder-type boomer intercepted me on my way to the locker room to ask where I had learned to do that (youtube).

Neither of these interactions bothered me. Then I went into the locker room and saw a tranny shuffling into one of the showers.

I love how often both fatties and moids hate on gym bros, when in reality gym guys tend to be the kindest, most respectful, and chillest dudes around. Obviously there are exceptions, and yes different gyms have different microcultures, but in general gyms are max comfy locations.

Conversely, if you do get hassled at the gym, and the other occupants don't turn on the hassle-er like the people in They Live, it's time to find a new gym.

It's funny that the men who spend their entire day politisperging don't even know that your vote literally does not matter and changes nothing. Even if you vote for "the right guy" in their mind, children will continue to be molested and trannies will continue to go into women's changing rooms to show their penis. I do believe the vote counts, to the point that I sometimes work at poll stations for the busy elections (Boston already has staff for the municipal ones.) I was really rooting for Hillary, even though she was kinda scandal-ridden and tabloid fodder after the whole BJ with Monica Lewinski scandal. To some extent I thought it made her a stronger woman: yes, I'm in a power marriage with Bill. Now make me the junior Senator for New York or the Secretary of State.

Hillary was smart. Resourceful. Tough. Cute? (I think so.) Gimme hats and cans but I jhoped she was going to restore some of the peace and prosperity Americans enjoyed in the 90's, which happened mostly during the two Clinton administrations. However no man I knew voted for her, and they liked Trump's rank sexism and chants to "lock her up." It was sickening and disappointing, but the men really do screw you over politically.

This is factual, for the most part everyone in the gym just wants to mind their business and do their lifts. The issues arise when you get the fuckin' experts who decide to play gym hero, almost always with younger women who didn't ask for help. There was one time some dopey old fuck decided he was gonna play spotter for a girl bench pressing (3 guesses as to why) even though she was doing fine.
He ran over all "wow you're working hard. Looks like you need help, ok let me help you lift off!" Trying to make it seem like she needed help (even though I've seen her lift heavier before).

To your second point, we had an actual criminal on bail (ankle monitor and everything. Turns out he was a kid-diddler) at my gym for a little bit. Not only did all the regulars agree to make it as obvious as possible that he should fuck off and never come back. The Building Staff were running their own op in parallel to do the same thing. He cleared out before a big native guy could cave his skull in, haven't seen him since.

I had an encounter earlier in a bar after a student film night with someone (some of us got round a table and just started talking) and there was one person there who stood out specifically due to how the conversation went on, whereby she noticed feeling as if "she had no friends" and how she thought her family didn't care for her. She anyways, on the way back to the toilet stated she ran into her ex and still felt bad in how she felt she still had feelings (I very much believe this was on the idea of the relationship, and to be loved instead of the individual). Like I could tell it bothered her somewhat (I may be autistic but I can certainly still notice that people rubbing their fingers together at the side of their nails indicates stress or some form of negative feeling). This divulged into me wanting to talk to her about it (venting can help, and showing empathy and making feeling someone positive can help bring them out of the pit of feeling shit), and how me and someone else noticed that due to how her fixating on how she was made felt to be "weird" and that she was lucky to have a boyfriend, that this was obviously manipulative behaviour. That was genuinely saddening how she allowed her ex (obv a moid) to still dominate her mind (she mentioned him on multiple occasions over the night with things such as her noting his preference for beer over cider) and help lead to how she felt, feeling as if she had no friends and feeling as if she was "weird"; and how destructive a desire for love and affection can be.
