It was a terribly boring week for the Pelicot case, if you're looking for a clown show. Most of it was a psychological analysis of various defendants, occurring disjointedly over a period of four days. There's A LOT of information this week. I'll combine various days of testimony to create a narrative of specific noteworthy individuals.
While there wasn't too much of a circus, there were plenty of moid tropes on show, which will hopefully make this week's recap a bit less dull.

This is a very long post, and has a shitload of text, but remember this is four days of lengthy testimony condensed into a single kiwipost. Skip the italicised parts if you only want more direct translations. Start the kettle, and get your cocoa ready.

Much of the discussion of this case has noted how all the moids involved represent a cross-section of society. Included in the 51 co-defendants are two gay men, which tracks roughly with percentages of gay men in the general population.

One faggot, Didier, is hella old, almost 70. He says he grew up in a tough household with severe parents. He sister says it was tough, but not severe. Says he was raped as a teen, his sister said she only learnt of this once Didier was in prison. Didier has a bunch of friends who testify he was a good guy, never raped them, has a great sense of humour and is always there for his friends. Didier says as a teen, he went to a forest to masturbate, as you do, and some random man sodomised him and then gave him oral sex, which hurt him but he also enjoyed it. Based on his testimony, Didier became completely gay after an operation in 2014 that required a catheter and made his dick not work. I'm paraphrasing, but the psychologist says he's probably been a fag his whole life, but is just blaming his operation because he's a fucking pansy. Didier calls his homosexuality a 'replacement sexuality', which seems totally normal and not all a deranged disregard for other people as actual human beings.
Anyway, so this fag has no history of crime or dysfunctional family environments, and came to "know" Gisèle because he wanted to have sex with a man. Somehow, he was convinced that by doing a role-playing game that involved his raping a woman, he would be able to pursue a relationship with Dominique Pelicot. I'm not sure how this all factors, but whatever. So here's Didier, saying while it might technically be rape, he can't be held to account for it, since Dominique made him do it.
The psychologist says

Didier makes a joke during testimony at some point, he is gently, oh so gently, reprimanded by the judge and reminded that these are serious proceedings and "we must contain ourselves a little". Imagine being accused of raping an unconscious drugged woman, you're up on the stand in front of this woman, her family, a bunch of lawyers, your own family and large social network (Didier has the most character witnesses of any of the rapists), journalists and interested members of the public, and you decide now is the fucking time to show off your stand up routine. Somehow a psychological examination found he's totally normal and not a threat to society?

The psychologist, it is noted, seems to regard all of the defendants as having been manipulated by Dominique, on the basis of because they said so. Gisèle's lawyers are a bit disconnected by this, because they're not completely retarded numpties who buy whatever the rapists are selling. Dominique's lawyer doesn't like this much either, and she points out the psychologist only "knows" this based on what the defendants have said, and the psychologist has a "unilateral vision".
Psychologist says Didier didn't intend to rape, it just happened.

So Didier, this one who supposedly turned gay because his dick didn't work, was able to penetrate Gisèle, but he 'didn't enjoy it'. He didn't mean to do, I guess, his dick just fell out of his trousers and into a woman. Fuck these loser moids.

The other homo is Patrick. Patrick is also a general all-around leech, having been declared unfit for work in 1997, and officially got on disability payments in 2013. His only contribution to society has been his children, and even then it sounds like his wife did most of the work there.
SOMEHOW, this guy who has a lifetime track record of using women, ends up using Gisèle's body to get Dominique, I'm totally shocked, although Patrick is claiming he was manipulated into doing so by Dominique.
Patrick says he wasn't surprised when the police came to his door and knew what the matter was about, as he had seen Dominique and the story on the telly a few days before. Of course he didn't immediately come forward himself, because when have men ever held themselves accountable for their own actions? Patrick describes Dominique as "really evil" which is the pot and the fucking kettle arguing over who is the darkest nigger. Anyway, so Patrick says he super duper pinky promises he's put his sex life on hold since this all came out, you know, like that matters anymore.
Patrick is the only defendant of the five being psychologically examined this week, who was examined by both psychologists. One psychologist says Patrick knew what he was doing, the other says Patrick was manipulated. Patrick also complains to this credulous psychologist that Dominique sodomised him. Interesting that Patrick said he showed up to the Pelicot house PRECISELY to be sodomised by Dominique, but now, after the fact, has decided that it's not ok. He's changed his mind about consenting after the fact because he regrets it, something moids LOVE to accuse women of doing all the time. As usual, everything moids complain about, is pure unadulterated projection.
Patrick is, like, REALLY mad at Dominique for being such a meanie. This case has given Patrick the sads. Patrick reports that not only was Gisèle drugged by Dominique, he, little old Patrick, was drugged by Dominique too! The psychologist says that we can't prove Patrick was drugged, but it's definitely plausible so we should assume it's probable, which is also definitely how we treat women when they allege sexual crimes against men for which they have no proof. Right?
Gisèle's lawyers called bullshit on this drugging which gave Patrick only selective amnesia, querying what drug this is and how its effect would operate. Psychologist says the drug gave him automatic behaviours, or in other words, Patrick's basic natural state is to rape women and it's only his higher functioning conscious that stops him violating women. Or something, I can't be sure. This psychologist is grasping at straws.
The psychologist also claims we can prove Patrick was manipulated by Dominique, because Patrick is gay but he ended up raping a woman, and no gay man would rape a woman. Case closed guys, we can all go home now.
Nadia El Bouroumi is allowed to speak, for some reason. She says this psychologist (the retarded credulous one) has NEVER been known to be on the defendants side, so obviously he can't be accused of doing so now. She absolutely ballwashes this psychologist and complains that the lawyers trying to discredit him are being mean. El Bouroumi also suggests that Dominique saying he informed the other defendants that Gisèle was drugged, is a form of manipulation itself, which I don't understand. I guess the credulous psychologist didn't understand either, because he answers the question he wishes he had been asked, and says that it is impossible that Dominique told the other rapists that Gisèle was drugged, because there are so many rapists, and he can't find any retardation (intellectual disability) amongst them, and therefore it is not possible that they were all informed. What the psychologist is suggesting here is that a few men might want to rape a woman, but no way could you locate 51 rapists. In other words, if one woman alleges rape, we can dismiss her because it's only the word of one woman versus one man. But if lots if men are accused of rape, you can also dismiss the claims, because there's some magic, still illdefined, number of men any one woman can be raped by, in order for it not to be made up. It's more than 1, less than 51.
As usual, men are assumed to be decent unless evidence to the contrary, and women are assumed dishonest and they must fight to be heard.

Jean-Marc is a Jewish truck driver who only likes women and travel. He was married, now divorced, has a son he doesn't know well, psychologist says he has little to no empathy for Gisèle, and is generally self-centred. He's four convictions, mostly for theft.

Spoiler: The psychologist seems scared of him

Psychologist reports JM likes to travel to Asia, not for history, but to meet people. Psychologist says he didn't dare press JM further on this. Judge asks why not, psychologist says he didn't want to ruin the spontaneity of the conversation. We all fucking know what JM is doing when he goes to Asia to "meet people", and this psychologist is treating his professional examination likes it's a casual chat with a buddy at the pub. All you need to know is that JM's lawyer is Nadia El Bouroumi, and I'm calling it now, there are some underhanded dealings going on between El Bouroumi and some of the professional individuals involved in this case.

Vincent, 42, blames alcohol and being imprisoned for making him rape an unconscious woman, although as it later emerges, he had not yet been imprisoned when he raped Gisèle. Time-travelling psychological trauma is a new one.
This Vincent retard likes swinger parties (red flag), had a suspended 6 month sentence for domestic violence (redder flag), and says that it's alcohol which makes him beat women (flags no longer in visible spectrum).
Psychologist says Vincent is a weak personality, and is highly suggestible.

The lawyers for both Pelicots pounce on this psychologist for being an utter retard, noting that Vincent's claims that being imprisoned traumatised him into raping Gisèle are bullshit, as he hadn't been yet imprisoned at the time of the rapes. Whoopsiedoodles! The psychologist gets snarky and says he didn't try to verify the timelines offered by defendants. The court notes the psychologist had full access to the timelines of the defendants he examined. The psychologist retorts that maybe he is wrong, but he is also not wrong, because he's just relying on the evidence provided to him by the defendant, and then says it doesn't matter anyway, which seems like not the best way of defending your work and professionalism.

There's more criticism of this psychologist for determining Dominique has manipulated the other defendants, when this psychologt has never examined Dominique. There is a lot of "yeah but no but" from the psychologist, which won't make any more sense if I translate them, so I won't.

Dominique's brother, Joël, is questioned, and full credit to him for not siding with his brother. It's sadly fairly unique to have majority of family members side with a woman against the man accused of domestic abuse.

Spoiler: background info about Dominique

Dominique father Denis was authoritarian, but according to Joël, never unfairly. Joël claims to have maintained contact with Gisèle since the divorce, although questioning reveals he last spoke to her in 2001. Dominique is said to be a habitual liar, he claimed to have been touched by a nurse as a child, but only mentioned it once in childhood them never again. Dominique had also said he was gang raped at a construction site when he was a teenager, Joël thinks this is bullshit too. Joël thinks Dominique was jealous of him, Dominique says he wasn't. There was an adopted younger sister, Nicole, who Dominique says was raped by his father, Denis, and blames Joël for covering up for his father.

Dominique's son-in-law, Pierre, gives testimony. In short, he notes that Dominique seemed bored in Mazan, which is a reminder on the value of compulsory work camps for men, because better a busy man than a raping man. He says the worst part of all of this is having a six year old little boy who absolutely LOVED his grandfather, and how to explain to him why he can't see his grandfather anymore, presumably without detailing the graphic acts of Dominique.

Rape is a miserable crime which commits the ultimate violation of stealing a person's bodily sovereignty from them. But it doesn't stop there, as it destroys relationships of everyone connected to the rapist and the victim. Here, a six year old must either be traumatised by details no child should hear, or be left confused about why his parents are taking his grandpa away from him. Meanwhile, a father must make decisions that simultaneously protect and irreparably harm his little boy.

We not hate the crime of rape nearly enough.
