It's really probably impossible to deal with adequately unless they're blatant. You can't tell if people are just talking to each other. Quarx has a habit of putting people on watchlists with the keys of suspected metagame so we have an idea if problems happen who they're metagaming with.

Post here with suggestions for the server,

I'll start

  • Bump the speed down a tad. Currently combat is really crazy, most shots dont land. People just run out of ammunition
  • I don't know if this is just a beestation thing (its the only other server i've played a lot on) but add in bounties https://tgstation13.org/wiki/Cargo_...ne of the,actually redeeming the cargo points. it really gives cargo techs something to do, and often a cargo tech/quartermaster going around passing out a bounty sheet to departments will give them something to work towards. Its one of my favourite parts of playing supply
  • Equipping stuff to Ian isn't really working. Please fix, its super important
  • every single round atmosphere is fucked up, I don't know what the solution is but it sorta shuts down the entire station
  • Adding more words to the AI voice announcements. Can we get nigger, faggot, and tranny at least please.
  • Add more fireaxes
  • Remove the approval process of Ship charters. I don't think there is really a name you would deny is there?

Atmosphere techs seem nonexistent in the rounds I've played in.might have something to do with it.
 
Bounties was base /tg/ but they removed it in favor of cargo bounties that no one ever does and which are pointless. On Fulp you just get tasked to get briefcases as Detective so I run around knocking over lawyers taking their fucking briefcases. I'll look at it, right now I'm working on my Modest R&D Reform.
 
Is kiwicode going to be made available for experimenting with the same code on their own servers? I have one under the tranny code right now for getting better at engineering and research.
 
The /tg/ maintainers are planning this change which looks bad.

Powergamers beware! Now, to unlock basic, requisite research to run the station you will have to jump through hoops for no fucking reason. It's basically busywork no one needs or asked for.

So instead I'm working on my own changes to R&D and this is where it's looking so far after a day or two.

A Modest R&D Reform will focus on keeping research simple, as it should be.
  • New fancy UI.
  • Research servers will be more easily understood. Currently, you need one working RD server, and if you have none you just don't get research points and no one understands why.
  • Research servers will each open a 'research slot' (think HOI4), but every subsequent research server is 50% less effective, so you can't just build 20 and have everything done instantly.
  • Points get applied directly to research instead of pooling.
  • Research servers now also generate heat and shut off if they get too hot.
  • There will be Traitor and Malfunction AI interactions with the RD Servers.
  • Research servers will automatically queue random available research and stay busy, so not having a Research Director will not stop medical from getting the upgrades they need - it will just be very ineffecient and clown tech will get researched sooner rather than later.
  • Research & Development will be available to all command staff via the Tablet, but the RD will have some way of making his decisions more important.

I tried joining a non-kiwibros server to learn how to play some of the positions without getting randomly robusted by autists or pozzed in my neghole by every single virologist. Seemed comfy enough, lots of rules against that sort of thing, looked very newbie friendly. I spent forty seconds walking from arrivals to the bar only to see it packed full of furries tee heeing about their "creamy" drinks.

I'm never leaving kiwistation again.

Give him a fat human sprite but make all of his limbs and organs be ears of corn so when you mutilate him you get corn. Except for his stomach, which is a bottle of Maker's Mark.
 
So when are we making a thread about SS13 trannies? By what I've read on here and on the OOC chat, seems like there's a lot of milk with the admins of /tg/, goonstation and, of course, the fucking furry/vore servers.

Felinids are not enabled for user selection. Greys are antags and that would cause confusion.

Considering adding an option to spawn as a prisoner and just having every prisoner be a felinid, so it's immediately obvious if you see a cat girl that they're a prison escapee. Gives ghosts something to do. My concern is how this would work IC, where they would spawn, when, and if they'd just consider themselves antags who need to break out.

Because you'd be years late to the party if you only started talking about SS13 drama now. The fact alone that you didn't even bring up CM or SCP13 (among others) when talking about lolworthy drama kind of attests to this.

If you want to track and laugh at dumb SS13 drama, just watch the reddit once a month or once every few months and I guarantee you'll see some new shitshow about a server taking the community by storm.
