I just made this account after years lurking here because i see this post as a great opportunity for me to talk about how much these guys are complete retarded and self destructing to a fascinating degree, and how it makes me both really sad and mad at the same time. They were actually the reason that i started getting into oneyplays at around 2023, i knew about the boys before, but i felt i was already too old for let's play channels, but then all the "DD's Last Stream" happened and made me curious about who DD and Julian actually were as artists, and since they don't have a much great gallery of finished projects, i started to watch Oney Plays, and loved the trio edgy jokes, artistic tastes etc. They had a really comfy vibe that made me feel good while studying, and some of their opinions and weird games they brought were really interesting, but more than that, they were inspiring to me as a young fella, since i dream about working in art/animation and had a very similar artistic taste to Ding Dong and Julian to an almost uncanny degree. The videos also had that bitter sweet nostalgic feeling since they supposedly were off the internet forever working their dream job... until they weren't, and that's where the problem started for me.
At first it was normal and kinda sweet, since Ding Dong was "trying" to bring a positive energy with their games, their pro creator mindset to indie media and overall jokes, but then the spergouts started to happen, their once in a while bait of "never posting anything on the internet again because you guys suck!". DD's opinions, who once were wise or at least a nice second perspective became more and more politicized, he with Julian became schizos sounding like everyone who was not a lib or gay was out to get them (wich was weird since they rarely cared about their position as fags other than making jokes about it and getting slightly offended when Chris called then disgusting faggots a little too much), and it didn't help that he repeats the same thing over and over to the point he more often than not contradicts himself, like recently when he said that every piece of media is political to a point, even using a gotcha to the chuds by talking about how no one complains that COD is political since it is "american propaganda" or smthg (he never considered to think that COD story fucking sucks nowdays and is secondary to the game, and when it was good, it was very critical of all sides), but then complaning he was forced to talk about political stuff in their let's play era because for him it should be "just about video games", and no one in their chat points that out because they are just as politically brainrotted as him. And that is just the tip of the iceberg, there is not a single stream that doesn't get extremelly akward at some point, with DD loredumping about his life for no reason and using his audience as his personal therapist, or when Julian sounded clearly angry and disgusted for a innocent even if a little cringy super chat that was just being funny in a way similar to how Chris would talk to him in the let's plays. This is just what i remember from the top of my head while typing. i think it's almost impossible to remember everything because a different drama happens in every fucking stream, and mostly it's just their own paranoia and ego making everything feel akward for everybody, i don't know how these guys can stand each other every day with such immature and sick personalities that have such a high standard to everyone's behavior except for themselves.
And now is 2025 and the same drama, the same attitude, and NO. FUCKING. GAMES
Ding Dong loves to talk about how he wants to step out of his past and start anew, but it's only him that can't go away from his past, stagnated with his fat antisocial boyfriend and self victimization for all eternity. i'm not lying when i said those guys really inspired me 2 years ago, as a zoomer, being told it's fine to be introverted and you can do what you love in art and entertainment without being a e-celeb extroverted asshole was something really nice coming from such diverse people as they were, and i can say that for all the oneyplays crew (well except for Adam) as being an idependent artist is concerned, but now i see how fucking frauds DD&J are, they became (or they aways were) just like every liberal narcissistic GenX developer in LA, lazy, mentally ill, and really just a bunch of faggots.
Tl;Dr- These two were once a big inspiration for me, because of their comedy, their opinions on art and game design, and their artistic taste in general, and now (honestly it's been already a year that i think like this) i see they are just a bunch of spoiled brats, paranoid and egomaniac faggots, and the only reason they still don't have their own lolcow thread is because they are at least smart enough to keep themselves in the dark for enough time for everyone to forget how annoying they are, and then come back to pump up a little bit more their patreon and making their fanboys love them again.
