What a beautiful & photogenic cat, I assume it's Nikki's. I like that it worked out for both of them. Zach seems to have way better taste in women than Chris. I remember watching Zach's late night streams on Twitch way back when he lived in NYC ca. 2015-2017 while he was working on JonTron/StarCade. They were constantly bantering and had a really fun back and forth with increasingly schizo-like insults as the stream went on. I don't know if anyone here archived those streams but I would really love to re-visit them, especially now after listening to every SleepyCast ep (/sans the Shad episodes) again for the first time in almost a decade. They have held up surprisingly well, at least for me (It was way more coomerish in my memory).

One thing I personally find surprising is how he has a near perfect hairline. I always assumed until semi-recently after he became more comfortable around cameras that he went bald, or at least was receding due to some of the hairloss jokes he's made over the years. Especially after he brought up that receding hairline chart that one time. I had to google it because I had no idea what it was. Unless I am way off base here I don't think the vast majority of people without hairloss has any idea what a Norwood 1 or 2 is, esp off the cuff like that. He also did the cap thing for a while too IIRC, and a grown man in his age demo wearing a baseball cap is almost always a clear sign of chrome dome.

Yet it clearly looks way better now than it did in the cryptid days back when he was much younger, wore oversized suits and looked like a portly gremlin. I assume it's because he actually styles it like a human being now, though it is possible that he had some work done too. I personally can't tell. Also seems like he got rid of the spectacles for LASIK/contacts, and whatever it was that made him autistically wear sunglasses everywhere he went has also passed. Boy's finally all grown up in his 30s.

100% he is. Best evidence of that is how he nuked his Twitter sometime during 2018/2020, though I have never really used Twitter so it could have been later. He used to talk about politics on there all the time and on stream too. He always went on & on about how he liked to be up to date and informed, so he has clearly strategically hunkered down in lieu of his mainstream career when it comes to news/politics due to having the wrong™ views on both. The President episode of Smiling Friends shows he still follows the news very closely however, a lot of American political stuff in it that I doubt Cusack would have come up with.

I am personally waiting for the inevitable tweet storm centered around some SleepyCast nigger-faggot compilation to drop after a spiteful fag eventually finds out about the pod. Zach screamed the word nigger at least one time, and said the word "faggot" in pretty much every ep he was in. If an out of context nigger bomb compilation can put a serious dent into the career of someone as big as Joe Rogan then it will most definitely sink an Adult Swim show. Adult Swim probably has a zero tolerance policy to anything like that after Sam Hyde, though I hope I am wrong.

I also looked up that dude you mentioned, seems like he was yet another celeb casualty of the 2020 riots. Not a squidbillies fan personally, but it's still sad to see another dude fired for basically stating a fact like "encouraging people to hate their own heritage & race is bad". Doubly depressing to see that his career really did end in 2020, no new projects since then. Boomers really need to learn basic opsec when posting verboten online. Glad to see he never apologized at least.

There is no storm coming. Everyone already knows Zach used to say slurs and people have already attempted to cancel him with ancient Sleepycabin clips from 10+ years ago on twitter and no one cared. They also have dug up his tweet exchange between him and Jon about white demographic replacement and people just shrugged and rightfully pointed out it was years ago and he's probably changed. This is just a side tangent but "cancel culture" is basically dead in the water nowadays. People are very much over it and it's relevancy is waning.

The situation with Sam Hyde was very different. Sam was openly tweeting about hot topics like black crime and Jews while his show was airing. He also antagonized a journalist who then wrote a hit piece on him. It was also 2016 and Trump had just been elected so people were super touchy about edgy comedy.

I'm glad to know there's people with at least some level of "not too easy to shut down" that just use ai for goofy shit and don't constantly fearmonger about it or hype it up as some kind of great replacement for other shit.
