Only the most retarded, unintentionally funny scenes and plots

Welcome to racoon city has a special place in my heart. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit in theaters as a decently made stupid fun popcorn horror/comedy film. However, it made quite a few questionable decisions. The casting is all over the place, it's adapting two different games at the same time, and it's clearly on a budget (racoon city is rural and has a 100 people in it)

For example: There's a scene where a zombie shows up while the most unfitting music imaginable plays.

My favorite retarded part is that it's version of wesker is a dude bro frat guy who has no real attributes that match the game wesker. His marvel ending credits stinger is amazing.

There's a lot more stuff that made me laugh but it felt intentional enough I don't want to rag on it too much.

Yeah, so the people adapting the game clearly got bored and decided to just do whatever they wanted instead. Also, they weirdly latched onto one of the side actors who, despite getting kicked in the teeth repeatedly, still showed up.
I mean dont get me wrong I like the actor and it could have worked, but the way they did it was so retarded.
>go to infinite speed
>turn into a lizard
>doesn't elaborate
>kidnap the captain
>do all of that shit again
>have three lizard children with the captain
Voyager's "Threshold" has put a question into my head many years ago: what happened to the lizard kids?
That episode was so bad they later sneaked a quote in a later episode that implied it never happened.

Discovery was just... Ooof man. There's no star trek worse then that in my opinion. Id gladly watch the lizard banging episode with a smile on my face laughing it up. Its funny with the highlight real but it's bad to watch wholesale.

The 1st season went to shit the moment they took the best character and killed him for no reason because he was vaguely like Trump. ( Make the empire great again) He literally did nothing wrong and was helpful to the "heros" from the beginning

I'd rather watch DS9's "Meridian" on a loop for the next two weeks than giving Discovery another shot.

It's funny, because Lorca was the only character I gave a shit about. He was written well enough that he easily could have fit into the Dominion War arc as one of the more military minded Starfleet captains that enjoys blowing up Jem'Hadar.

Remember when people agreed Anson Mount was gonna save STD? Like, there was this brief, beautiful moment where everyone collectively thought that putting a guy with good hair on the bridge was gonna undo years of rot. Just incredible stuff. “We fixed it." :suffering:

I remember actually being excited when I read about Discovery back in the stone age. And then the teasers and trailers dropped. What a way to crush hopes for this to be any good...

ER season 10 had a story arc where the 'love to hate' chief head lost his arm to an out of control helicopter, and then later a helicopter falls on top of him, killing him. This is why season 7 is the series finale.
The show later became campy at some moments, but I did like this because the doctor in question, Romano, had it coming.

Romano was meant to be this super talented surgeon and he treated others like shit because of this. So, you'd think the experience of losing one arm would humble him, right? Nah, he still was an asshole and now became a bitter asshole. And I'm kinda glad they didn't do the cliche of making him "learn a lesson". The guy remained being so unlikeable that when he died crushed, they took days to realise he was gone and only knew after they found his body.

To be fair he had his moments of good, like when he signed for Benton's son, and he was genuinely distraught at not being able to save Lucy. But he was an asshole. There's a reason why nobody came to Elizabeth's memorial service for him.

This is an unpopular opinion but I found Weaver to be an even bigger asshole with massive plot armor. The thing with Chen, Malucci, and her missing pager was one thing. There's a whole other level of mess that she was either the direct cause of, or at least part of.

It was fun to see Romano (and Mark) in flashbacks in the final season, and he even directed episodes. For me, On The Beach is the series second to last episode, and then I pretend there's a flash forward to the actual series finale.

Sometimes I think TV writers still carry a vendetta against Mark McClure like he personally assassinated Alex Murphy in real life. I remember being cheesed off when 24 trotted him out as this shadowy figure, and then just had Philip wax him. This is the same Philip, mind you, who spared jack. So I guess McClure’s character was just the expendable Bauer brother no one liked.

Pretty much all of Handmaid's Tale TV series.

Every plot arch goes like this:
*Elizabeth Moss stares into the camera and her voiceover has some super deep internal monologue*
*good guys devise some MacGyver-level plan to bring down Gilead, FOR REAL THIS TIME*
*since the good guys are literal feminists and soyboys, shit goes to hell in a hurry*
*Elizabeth Moss stares into the camera wondering how she can lose when she is on the right side of history*
Next episode:
"Previously, on the Handmaid's Tale"
*Elizabeth Moss stares into the camera and her voiceover has some super de...*

I just saved you 60 hours of TV viewing, you're welcome.

Warriors of Virtue was a 1997 movie trying to capitalize on the Ninja turtles fad.
It were a bunch of mystic kung fu kangaroos from another dimension.
The movie was crap, some good visuals but mediocre story and the characters weren't developed at all.

However, the villain, played by a Shakespearian actor from Scotland, is just iconic.
You think Jeremy Irons was over the top in Dungeons & Dragons?
You ain't seen nothing yet.
Check out this epic scene:

Here are his scenes from throughout the movie, there is gold in this footage:

This post may come off as me being mad, and while I may be, this is ultimately a moronic set of circumstances that lead to the one of the dumbest and unintentionally funny scenes I've seen.

Whenever I see people talk about The Walking Dead TV show doing something stupid leading to someone dropping it, and it's anything later than Season 2, I have to wonder if they just forgot about one of the worst bits of programming and one of the biggest downgrades to a show's quality in history.

Other people have talked about this, but if I were to summarize how retarded this season was, let me give a summary:
>have a show with a fantastic first episode and a mostly very good first season that does extremely well
>fire the director of the first season because he's expensive and you want to cheap out on costs despite the heavily profitable first season
>take a farm plot that was a few chapters in the original comic and extend it to an entire full-length season
>turn the entire show's pacing to a crawl
>a ZOMBIE show becomes solely about characters arguing in a farm and looking for a child in the forest
>it gets stretched so much that characters are repeating the SAME ARGUMENTS multiple times just to fit the season's length

>the entire plot about finding the girl in the woods that extended the entire season was a moot point as she was just locked in the fucking barn

This season was literally garbage, and is when I dropped it. But if you really need an illustration to how dumb this season was, let me illustrate a particularly frustrating level of character stupidity common in this season:

>there's a well on the farm they want to drink from
>character who is the voice of reason rightfully tells everybody not to drink from it because he hears something coming from the well
>turns out there is a walker (zombie) in the well, so the water is infected

So what would the smart thing to do here? Just close off the well as the water is contaminated? Well, that would be the smart thing to do, and smart things are not allowed in this show in Season 2. So what happens?

>characters bizarrely decide they need to get the walker out of the water so they can drink the water
>that's right they want to drink from this disgusting water and come up with a bizarre plan to lift the walker out

And only after this disgusting creature's guts spill out do they decide to stop this nonsense. I can't think of a more unintentionally funny plot if I tried. These adults are wanting to drink water in a well that had a zombie's blood, saliva, and half naked body in it for so long it took on water weight and swelled. Fucking lmao. And the added kicker to all of this stupidity of Season 2? The voice of reason character gets killed off in this arc despite it happening MUCH later in the comic. Smart thinking is banned in this season apparently.

What the fuck were they thinking with this season and who the hell enjoyed this season? Who would keep watching after this nonsense? I can only look back at it for moments like this laugh my ass off.

That was one of the most obvious plot twists ever. I think I called it almost immediately.

Another thing that bothered me about the show was the way they handled guns. I get that those people are actors and that directors rarely care about that stuff, but it really seemed like they took an extra step to make it all look even dumber than usual. The picture in the attachment is just an example.

yeah normally I give absolutely no fucks about realistic gun usage in shows, but TWD hopped up and down about "actually guns are very loud in enclosed spaces" early on so the way they just forgot bugged me

I've seen maybe one movie where they depicted a gunshot inside a car as serious business. Everyone immediately covers their ears and screams in pain.

In an interview with The Guardian, Willis revealed he "suffer two-thirds partial hearing loss in [his] left ear." He directly relates the loss of hearing to "an accident on the first 'Die Hard.'" His daughter, Rumer, added a little more detail about the mishap, explaining, "he shot a gun off next to his ear," reportedly while filming this scene. Turns out, shooting extra loud blanks next to his ear while pinned under a table wasn't a great decision for his eardrum."

I haven't seen the show either and I know everyone was making fun of that scene back in the day. However, I think the dance was supposed to make them travel between dimensions or something like that because the show has supernatural elements. So this is a last resort escape method for them even though it takes a long time to pull off and they're increasing the likelihood of getting shot by the guy with the rifle.

I could be COMPLETELY wrong.
And I thought that clip couldn't get any gayer

Is Killjoys a good show jw
Anyway I know people hate her but I'm still mad about Andrea's character development on The Walking Dead being completely destroyed. She was so badass in the comic. I genuinely believe its because that one actor left during season 2 (iirc in protest of the showrunner leaving?) so they had to completely scrap their plans for her. So she got shafted. It sucks because Laurie Holden is genuinely good actress.

In terms of shitty plots have we talked about Rory stealing a fucking yacht on Gilmore Girls? Show was always annoying because they all talk too fucking fast and Amy Sherman Palladino is insane, but who in the writers room thought this was a good idea?

Speaking of Elizabeth Corday on ER, Alex Kingston said that everyone was fucking sick of the Africa plotline on ER which was why it ended abruptly. And it really serves no purpose aside from Thandie Newton being introduced......and the fact that they very clearly shot it in a park in Los Angeles or San Francisco and tried to make it look like this mystical jungle rainforest type place.

I've never actually seen this show but the part in The OA where the characters start dabbing on a school shooter with interpretative dance is so legendary
Lol at the youtube comments

Anyway, I want to know what Fed setup the school shooter. He had a fun switch on his AR. And shout out to the cafeteria worker who took down the shooter while distracted by interpretive dance.

Anyway, my contribution to this thread from the OA OC. A bunch of people shooting each other to Imogen heap.

Which was spoofed on an actually funny SNL skit
