Oh my god

Out of all the other things that other people already mentioned, the thing that jumped out at me from all this (aside the fact that Eli is going to die) is the scariest thing about all of this: you can tell Jace is really getting off on being in complete control of someone and unquestionable to the point where he could decide their life or death based on his whim. It's a narcissist's wet dream, and especially scary since he's doing it to his own friend. Notice how he said "Stryker out" at one point instead of "Jace out".
is he off his meds?

He's probably stoned and ripped on monster and just finished the last level of Modern Warfare 2. Probably by the start of tomorrow he's gonna realize what he did and apologize to Eli. Eli will still probably be stuck there, but Jace will say he's "been authorized support by Stryker" or some shit like that.

No, he doesn't need authorization. He IS Stryker.

I'm thinking Jace is trying to live out his fantasy of being an ulta-badass spy marine action hero through Eli now.
This is exactly the way Jace plays video games. He moves his little avatar--in this case Eli--through the maze, superimposes his own narrative onto the landscape, then gets pissed off and screams at the game when it doesn't reinforce his fantasy story. It's all just a game to him.
