Oscars 2023

The only three I cared about was Best Song, Best Animated, and Best Actor. All three went to the ones I wanted, so I’m satisfied.

Is it just me, or did those last three awards go by incredibly fast?

Well, Fraser won.

He went from alimony memes to Best Actor.
Which means, this meme is officially canon

I can't wait to see the HAES women seethe over Brenden's win. They hate that movie for daring to portray obesity in a negative light.
I'd not even heard about this movie. Just looked it up on Rotten Tomatoes.
Critics: 65%
Audience: 91%

Might actually be worth a watch if you know the champagne socialists don't like it and everyone else does.

The interesting thing about this Oscars is that somehow Jimmy Kimmel managed to make himself less interesting when compared to the actual winners like Brendan Fraser and Ke-Huy Quan

No joke, these were just some of the trending ”jokes” that came out of this years’ telecast:

“We want you to have fun. We want you to feel safe. And most importantly, we want me to feel safe. So we have strict policies in place. If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point during the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and be permitted to give an 18-minute long speech,”
“Seriously, the Academy has a crisis team in place. If anything unpredictable or violent happens during the ceremony, just do what you did last year – nothing. Maybe even give the assailant a hug,” he added.
Kimmel also had a slightly politically incorrect joke when he mentioned that the five Irish actors nominated meant that “the odds of another fight on stage just went way up.”
The comedian then gestured to several actors and famous attendees that people would have to get through if they “want to come up here and get jiggy with it.”
Kimmel also took a brief jab at President Joe Biden and his drug-addled son, Hunter Biden, when he referred to Steven Spielberg and Seth Rogen as “the Joe and Hunter Biden of Hollywood.”

It was one of those moments where one had to question that if he were the host making jokes, did anyone actually hear them?

Stuff like this made me wish the ghost of Johnny Carson hosted this instead of him.

Or Kevin Hart for that matter. But, because of those gay jokes he made on Twitter, he's effectively barred from doing so.

Kimmel can't make jokes for shit. The only way he can be funny is if he did what he did to Nick Fuentes and just let the jokes tell themselves.

Chink Matrix is a gay reddit movie and got dick-sucked because probably CCP influence but also for diversity points. The writers/directors are literally Reddit incarnate and I hate them. Short Round is not a good actor and got awarded because nostalgia.

Inisherin got robbed.

Brendan Fraser is an unrecognizable shell of a human being who is constantly sobbing. I don't even want to know what Hollywood did to this poor guy. It seems to me that he wanted back in and they made him perform some truly grotesque humiliation ritual. I don't know if anyone actually watched The Whale, but I did and it's depressing, disgusting, and pointless.

This film has taken over literally everything.
Any particular reason for it? Saw a trailer and read a plot synopsis and it seems so boring. Like they couldn't scare away the normies so everything had to be portrayed through a ridiculously mundane lense.
What's the point of multiverse conflicts if everything just looks like California and the conflict is about being sad because divorce, taxes, and my ugly fat daugther is gay?

I took one look at the story and immediately knew it wasn't for me. I don't get it either.
