Realistically, all the Dems need to do to win the presidency is to run a straight white male. That's why it'll never happen.

That would make them even less likely to win. They have made it abundantly clear they are the party for minorities, and the republicans are the white mans party. Voting patterns show this. They need to run Obamas from now on, they wont be able to run a white for president anymore. Focusing on demographic displacement of whites is the Democrat long term goal for political hegemony.

Nah, winning the White House again is about winning back Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin - states that only a monumentally bad candidate like Clinton could lose for them. Identity politics is a fad. Those types of voters flock to Sanderses and Steins, anyway. Winning is about getting blue collar Americans, not morally outraged college students.

I think StoicMoose is correct. Another Obama would have won the Democrats the Presidency in 2016. He brought a bunch of voters in whenever he was up for election. The problem is the didn't show up in the 2010 or 2014 midterms when he wasn't on the ballot; Republicans gained in both those elections and won in 2016. There's a block of voters that doesn't care when two white people are running for office.

The question is would those voters show up for any minority candidate or if Obama had some specific trait about him?

Following the results of the Ossoff election defeat, the left is beginning to turn on Nancy Pelosi as the cannibalism commences.

Democrats Seethe After Georgia Loss: ‘Our Brand Is Worse Than Trump’

That vague message, Democrats said Wednesday, was plainly not powerful enough to counter an onslaught of Republican advertising that cast Mr. Ossoff as a puppet of liberal national Democrats, led by Ms. Pelosi, an intensely unpopular figure on the right and a longstanding target of Republican attacks. While Mr. Ossoff made inroads by exploiting Mr. Trump’s unpopularity and a backlash against health care legislation approved in the House, Democrats said they would have to do more to actually win.

Later:

Representative Tim Ryan of Ohio, who tried to unseat Ms. Pelosi as House minority leader late last fall, said she remained a political millstone for Democrats. But Mr. Ryan said the Democratic brand had also become “toxic” in much of the country because voters saw Democrats as “not being able to connect with the issues they care about.”

Our brand is worse than Trump,” he said.

Will there be any self-awareness? Nahhh...

The demographic inevitability concept has always been a complete pipe dream for Democrats and pandering to it is exactly why they're getting their shit pushed in at the national level. Most minority groups don't vote Democratic specifically because of identity politics, and thinking that is the case led the party to abandon all their economic and governance principles and court socially liberal big money like Wall Street and Hollywood. The resulting betrayal is alienating their minority base almost as much as the identity politics alienated their former base of the white working class.

Trump was the most odious major candidate towards minority groups since George Wallace (at least in terms of media profile, I don't honestly believe Trump is any more or less racist than your average 70-year-old white dude), and he still matched or outperformed George W. Bush with minorities. If there are any lessons to learn from the 2016 election, it's that Democrats cannot depend on the minority vote to sweep them into the White House, no matter how much they may feel they're owed minority votes because the other party is, to borrow a common media tic, "openly white nationalist".

On the right? Bitch has a 29% approval rating nationwide while Trump is at 50% lmao :story:

She was annoying before, but now she just looks lost. I can't believe she's still the minority leader in the House when she has repeatedly mistakenly referred to Trump as Bush. It's like she's reverted to 2007.

Sanders would of likely defeated Trump. He appealed to both blue collar voters and college students. Both are groups of voters that Hillary Clinton was massively unpopular with.

Is it time to admit Democrat voters are racists?

Pelosi Strikes Back: ‘I Think I’m Worth the Trouble’

“You want me to sing my praises?” she asked defiantly. "Well, I'm a master legislator. I am a strategic, politically astute leader. My leadership is recognized by many around the country, and that is why I'm able to attract the support that I do."

Pelosi added that Republican opponents will always go after the other party’s leaders — “and usually they go after the most effective leader.”
Sure, OK. Say, how are the DNC's finances looking?

He would not, he's a socialist and would be branded as one at once by the Republicans. Why do you think conservatives rarely attacked Sanders? Because they thought he would be easier to beat and hoped their attacks towards Clinton would earn him the nomination. Polls show socialism is the least desirable trait in a president and than 50% would not consider voting for one. Do you know the amount of people who say they would never vote for a Muslim president? 38%. Socialists are more hated than Muslims in America! Just have Trump play the clip of Bernie saying "Castro's not that bad a guy" and you've already lost anyway of Democrats winning Florida.

Uh oh!
The phrase "master legislator" sounded weird, so I looked up what bills she wrote. She's been the primary sponsor of 8, but they're all pretty insignificant except for 3. The first of those 3 was H.R. 5140 (110th): Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, which had mixed reviews to say the least. The second was H.R. 3221 (110th): Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, which, among other things, was the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The third was H.J.Res. 43 (112th): Making further continuing appropriations for fiscal year 2011, which was a stopgap bill that extended the current budget for 2 months.

Keep in mind this was basically all of her major legislation (that I could find, I could be wrong), and she's been in Washington since 1987.

Nancy Pelosi has a net worth of $120 million dollars, and has written one bill every 3.75 years. I wish I could do that little work and have that much fucking cash. Where do I sign up to be a master legislator? Seems better then my current gig!

Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008

One of her major legislative achievements is the bailout of the architects of the great recession? Who is still supporting this women and why?

I'm just wondering which district shits her out and why do they like her?

You're face to face... With the party that Sperged the world.

Wrong. Its the entire reason for Cuckservative Supreme Reagan pulling his amnesty shit and hordes of Spics getting in, the entire reason that the legal immigration policy has been all about settling niggers from Haiti, Nigeria and Somalia in traditionally super white states to tip the balance, think Minnesota and Al Frankens election. They do this because they can not, and have not really ever, been able to rely on the Black vote. Because outside of scale tipping and corruption, think Michigan and Illinois, they are irrelevant on the national scale. The majority of the black population reside in the Deep South. And aside from Florida, of the old CSA, only Virginia and North Carolina, and only recently, vote and lean Democratic.

In the case of the Spics, it has taken a whole generation to show fruit, but show fruit it has. California, once a contestable state, is gone forever to the Dems. Reagan won it, and had he never did amnesty and instead cracked down on immigration and expelled them, California might still be in play. Washington and Oregon used to also be in play, but they got ran over by Leftists Californians and some migrants themselves. The entire West Coast save Alaska is not even worth campaigning in. New York and New Jersey the same for the Presidency. Georgia was damned close to joining Virginia, and Texas is being colonized by Califaggots as well along with a Spic invasion.

If the "demographic changes" continue unabated, 2024 will be the year the Democrats win in a landslide, at every level. And it won't be stoppable. The current Republican control at the state level is very temporary, on hairthin margins.

EDIT. The main reason Clinton lost was counting her Spics before their spawn had matured. 2005/2006 will be the youngest cadre voting in 2024.
