Overwatch

I'm actually having fun, which is probably because my account is at level 1. Apparently they didn't count me having played OW1 so I have to unlock the OW1 heroes even though I own the game. The heroes that I was able to play were the ones I even played so not the biggest issue. What sucks is having to play 5 games for role queue and 10 games in order to text & voice chat.

Played for 1 hour 30 its ok but the game is so different now. There is far too much damage and some tanks don't feel like tanks at all. Whoever did Orisa's rework needs a raise though because that is a really solid rework. I played her a few times and played Kiriko, support is shafted, and there is too much damage meaning you just die instantly.

I thought if you linked your progress with Battle.net, it would transfer over for OW2.

Did it ask you for a phone number?

The question is do they revert to 6v6 when the player base drops hard or just give up, pull the plug and blame the players for not releasing PvE?
They can't really just "go back" to 6v6 - they made a fair amount of changes to characters around 5v5 (and also Overwatch League teams dropped 2nd/3rd tank players from contracts). They almost certainly won't revert unless something really bad happens and they'll sit on it for a few years (or have OW1 as a "timed Classic" event).

They'll keep it 5v5 - it's not like OW1 6v6 was doing gang busters for the last last year, the player count drop can't be that severe and I'm sure there are people morbidly checking out the 5v5 mode

It asks you for the phone number before launching the game. You can decline by pressing the "I already added my phone number" option. Then it locks you out at the loading screen, telling you to activate SMS verification. It's impossible to leave that screen unless you alt+f4 or alt tab out the game.

I still can't get over someone who isn't us getting DDOS attacked.

The game feels wrong, and I miss loot boxes.
The fact a company like Blizzard didn't even have any sort of DDoS protection on their servers makes this even funnier.

The lack of progression though kinda has killed the game. Players were attached to their levels I was like level 2100, I prestiged a lot but the fact loyal players got nothing not like diamond skins etc just felt like a kick in the teeth.

Fortnite rewards players with prizes and rewards and new seasons. But the fact your seasons have no theming or special attributes to the map will kill retention. The gameplay is very CS GO now or Val it does not feel like OW1 and it is more noticeable when you play.

Again support is kinda pointless now and one thing I have noticed playing is. There is A LOT going on. I am sitting typing now in the quiet because I need to unwind and its not in a high-energy way its in an overwhelmed way. Some people discussed this in the capacity of the game being an e-sport but its too much. it feels like I was ADHD for 30 minutes and now I need to go on Duolingo or some shit to chill. I am in my 30s but I do wonder how that affects different ages because it is so jarring.

I noticed how overstimulating it was too, but I assumed it was just me being old, plus I was tired.

In today's adventures featuring Overwatch 2 - Kiwifarms Simulator, I keep getting
SORRY, WE WERE UNABLE TO LOG YOU IN.
Time out communicating with battle.net services.

Get your shit together, Blizzard.

Even better, if you earn an achievement in OW2, it'll boot you out of your session back into a server queue.

Wow, Blizzard.

I managed to get on and play a little bit.
-Having 5 on a team insted of 6 is going to take some getting used to. I keep looking around and wondering where everyone went.
-The colors and shading on the maps make them very pretty... and very hard on the eyes and exhausting for the nervous system. RIP, autistic players.
-I thought I'd get in a Players vs AI match on easy, to get a better look at the map and not have the pressure of a difficult match. It was harder than the matches I played in the arcade. Wtf.
-The music at the beginning sucks ass. The original theme was all heroic-like. This new hiphop sounding shit can fuck off.
-Minor PL but I'm a Lucio main. His automatic line of "We're here to be heard!" gives me Burn Loot Murder 2020 flashbacks and actually turns my stomach a little bit.

So far the only things I like about it are the things that didn't change. #old
