Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
It's an offline singleplayer game still in alpha with a finite amount of content that will eventually live (or die) by the modding community. And there is a LOT of mods being made, in part thanks to autistic furfags picking it up. Not quite on the level of Bethesda games (sans Saarfield) yet, but it's getting there. The interest will eventually drop off and of course it feels like it plummetted the hardest because of how high the concurrent player count was (even I am suffering from a burnout right now and I used to suck its proverbial dick 24/7, stopping at about 350 hours played). It's all relative. Juse compare those two.

Yeah a 24h peak of almost 27k players is nothing to scoff at and indicates a very healthy player base, many AAA games could only dream of hitting numbers like that. Extremely impressive for a small indie studio.

I think they really should've used any other type of geometric shape to store the not-pokemon. This really gives the lawyers something to sink their teeth into.

Not going to happen in Japland. They basically worship intellectual property over there.
Close as what they really worship is the large oligarchical Japanese conglomerates who owned the intellectual property. And like rest of the world don't give much of a fuck for the man on the street Joe Shmoe intellectual property owner who isn't a Japanese conglomerate.

Glad to see that the Pokemon company is doing everything in its power to ensure that I’ll never support them for as long as I live. Even if Pocketpair goes bankrupt, I’ll still have Digimon to share with my kids at least that franchise has some good messages that you can carry in the real world.

Fuck Pokémon. Fuck Nintendo. Fuck Game freak. They can all suck my dick.

Nintendo waited for PocketPair to make their money before pursuing legal action in order to maximize the amount of damages that the winner gets paid. They waited until the fruit was ripe before they intended to pick it.
I doubt it. Nintendo's legal team has been busy for the past year suing a full on pokemon game made by another studio in China. It's more likely that its both now convenient and an attempt to eliminate competition before the latetest big pokemon game. Most companies dont sue for money anyways, it's almost always to make someone stop what they are doing. It's not like they need the cash.

you know whats great? this isn't the 90s anymore. nintendo doesn't have as many fans as they used to and most gamers prefer indie stuff instead of that triple aaa slop so its hard to find legitimate shills that aren't taking money from shitendo. and everyone can agree shitendo is the disney of the gaming industry. it lived long enough to become the villain.

This looks just like the Nintendo vs Colopl touchscreen controls lawsuit and they ultimately lost on just about every motion. But they just kept delaying court proceedings so Colopl ended up just settling to get them to fuck off.

This lawsuit has way less grounds to stand on compared to that, but Nintendo is guaranteed to just repeat the infinite delay tactic. There's virtually no chance of this resulting in a ruling, the patent case is just simply too weak and indicts way more than just Palworld.

the fact that people are assuming it's the continued patent and not the original one is frankly too generous on Nintendo's side since it makes it look less smiley and fucked up than it really is with them only reapplying 'seemingly' becuase of Palworld's success despite the initial one not going anywhere. Shame shit like the absolutely butchered TTYD remake localization will make people put thier foot down more than blatent patent trolling will.
