Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

Hot damn. That is a decent amount of time.

I still need to beat up the last tower boss myself, but I have grown a little bored with the game at this point. Not to say it isn't good, but I think it'll need a few updates to spice things up before I come back in a serious fashion. In the meantime, I have been revisiting old games like Company of Heroes to pass the time.

Maybe in a few months, we'll get to see some major mods deployed for the game. That'd be nice.
I'm salty that half of the mods don't work on servers because they require aspects/assets and hooks only present on the client side.

I played on your server quite a bit until recently. The signs were a hilarious touch.
So I hadn't spawned in the starter area for a while after I built my base. So I decide to warp there to catch some Dinossoms, and I ended up just running around the field looking at signs for like 20 minutes. Players really make the game.

So I'm just starting out the game, anyone got a few tips?
If you possess true courage, you should try to catch a Dinossom early game. Power beyond measure courses through these flower topped deities, and an insatiable need to destroy lays behind those adorable purple eyes. The only thing the other pals fear is them.

So I found this thing near the Plateau of Beginnings on the server. I can't pick it up like I've been able to do with other spheres I've encountered on the server, and there's something pretty suspicious about that passive. I know of "Artisan" and "Serious", but "Speedy Worker Lvl 3" is the Equipment Passive of the Amulet of Diligence+2.

Sorcery is afoot.

Cheating? On the official kiwi farms server?

Catch a lot of Foxparks and Leafmunks. Preferably at least one with a passive that boosts attack that you will have in your main party and level up. Leafmunk in particular is a BEAST thanks to his partner skill.

Either pick a large open area for your starter base, or don't get invested in your first base.
This. The default starting area is actually one of the worst places to build too much elevation and landmarks. There are tons more flat open areas near the other start points. When you can get a second base rebuild a new one over there.

Also there's a server on my profile if you want to chill with other kiwis. Just keep in mind it's not active the whole day.

After digging into skill fruits a little I noticed that Ice is retardedly overpowered. Most basic attacks for each element (30~40 power, 2-4 second cooldown) launch a single projectile. Ice missile lobs three, and they have a chance to freeze (+ guaranteed slow) so that's 90 cumulative power on a 3 second cooldown. If you've played blind you might recall that the Peking dungeon was notoriously more difficult than basically anything else you could have encountered up to that point because of the 4-5 Pengullets spamming Ice Missile. This is why. In comparison, a similar skill for Fire, flare arrow, has 55 power and a 10 second cooldown.
The broken doesn't end there. Ice's ultimate skill, Glacial Spike, might be a little short on power (130) compared to other nukes (150), but it leaves behind a widespread damaging icy mist which deals full impact damage per tick. It's incredibly hard to dodge yourself and guaranteed to butcher your Pal unless you recall it. That's why your stuff randomly dies while fighting Lyleen Noct.
The remaining attacks might not be as good (Icicle Cutter is actually pretty underwhelming despite piercing) but Ice Missile and Glaclai Spike actually give you fantastic coverage even versus fire/ice types because of their raw power. Even with the damage halved IM is still more powerful than other spammables. The best compliment for those would probably be either Seed Mine (even though you'd technically be gutted vs Fire) on account of its sheer nuke potential or Acid Rain due to it being a homing and having 2 sources of DoT.

Sibelyx also has an ability that boosts the power of Blizzard Spike and you can activate a separate ability version as well. Making two with proper eugenics and three Foxcicles, you can kill a sleeping Jetdragon in three attacks and still have one more in the chamber, AND have two other move slots open on the second one because it used the ability and not the move, AND three whole Foxcicles with whatever moves you want put on them. Kind of nuts that it isn't really talked about.
