Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
What is it about Pokemon, either then or now, that makes people want Nintendo to not only sue Pocketpair, but win through patent trolling? You'd think a game inspired by Nintendo, even if it doesn't play anything like Pokemon, would be welcomed by Nintendo fans.
Nintendofags especially pokefags are a special breed of retardation, with pokefags genuinely believing pokemon owns the monster tamer genre and concept so the moment anything new comes out swarms of them come out the woodwork to call it a rip off, knockoff, plz sue nintendo
it happens everytime, they did this when yo-kai watch came out, did it when temtem came out, and of course doing it now when palworld comes out and are actively cheering on patent trolling and big corpos abusing their power

Because those people have nothing else going on in their lives. They played a bunch of Nintendo's properties as kids, and that's their entire existence.

One has to realize that if they like Pokemon so much, so must other people and there's a good chance those other people will make Pokemon-inspired or Pokemon-like games. One also has to be aware that Gamefreak isn't going to exist forever, and neither will its founders or employees. Of course, I should know better, as someone who posts in a thread dedicated to a specific Nintendo fanboy, but I'm optimistic enough to consider something like Palworld the dessert to Pokemon's main course.

The idea of patenting a gameplay concept as simple as this is ridiculous.
Someone (i don't remember who) has the patent for having minigames play while you're in loading screens. You can thank them for having just a boring tip to look at for gracefully not patenting that as well.

Could Palworld get out of this by replacing palballs with a lasso? That could make the "capture" dynamic more challenging.

"Congratulations, you lassoed a porkachu, good luck dragging it back to the ponderosa."

Or is this lawsuit undodgeable based on existing alleged infringement?

That was Namco.

It expired in 2015 and Namco-Bandai didn't renew it.

Nintendofags are the biggest fucking goy cattle to ever exist, more than niggers with shoes.

This reminds me of Maxim patenting recoil mechanisms in machine guns and Browning having to toe his way around the ridiculous level of patent trolling. Not the same but similar.

Because the only people still obsessing over it are gamers with battered wife syndrome. It's the same reason people still play WoW, MtG, or Gachas. All they know is their skinner box and they are desperately hitting that button for the serotonin payout that'll never come again, so when they see someone enjoying something cheaper that's everything they wanted, instead of joining in, they shit their diapers and throw a tantrum while trying to shove the entire corporate boot into their colletive mouth.

Surprisingly most of the Nintardo Life comments are critical of this lawsuit, but I spotted a few gems:

"We must secure a peaceful existence of our IP and a future for cucksumer brand zealots"

The legal system doesn't differentiate between "small indie studio" and AAA zaibatsu, faggot. I also love how he pulls the AI generation strawman out of nowhere as if small """artists""" don't use those tools as well.

I agree, such an awful thing.

He's right, stealing isn't cool. Someone notify Yuji Horii on Twitter that a company has been stealing his IP assets for close to 30 years.

Can we gas anyone above the age of 12 who plays Nintendo games on a regular basis? From the look of things, we wont be missing anyone important.
