Well, he has formed a separate studio (Paradox Tinto) and had them work on EU4 for a couple years while he started prototyping EU5/Project Caesar in 2020. It's still paradox but it's not the same studio as the fags on CK3 and Vic 3 and he also has repeatedly mocked and shit on those two across the Tinto Talks forum
Yeah, the spanish division and Johan seems that they know they can't compete to EU4 (a 10 years worth content game) so they know they best way is combine EU4, Imperator and Vic2 to have a new flavour. I didn't have the need to buy CK3 because It felt CK2 without content and Vic3 felt like an step back for many things.
Hope Dan Lind got that and his next game is not HoI V and if It is they should focus on 3 wars (2WW and CW or Crimea war to WW2) because HoI2-4 already fill the niche.

Won't lie, sounds like a recipe to have the game crawl to a halt in a few ingame years, rather than a few decades as it does now.
If Paradox implements it properly (lol) then yes, but only during space combat with the condition-heavy weapons in play, and only when they are firing and triggering on-hit effects.

In current Stellaris, to even approximate these effects you'd need to rely on all kinds of dangerously broad on_action triggers that then had a ton of winnowing (and computationally costly) conditionals firing every time fleets enter combat or are destroyed.

New feedback TT on the changes made to diplomacy and warfare, it also included the first paper map mode close up:

I don't even like EU4 but all the info they've shown us has me ready and willing to give Caesar a shake. I like how you have to build a modern state from the ground up by influencing shit over time. Sounds dope as fuck and reminds me of Ck2 and slowly consolidating power away from the council and getting viceroyalties so you just had a bunch of yes men.

The hoi4 devs have done something unforgivable with their latest "patch" and removed the esc shortcut for national focuses 20250328162143_1.jpg
Game is ruined

I hate AI I Hate AI....
I was Cucked by AI colonist bs from getting catholic one faith.
Edit: After I checked achievment requirments I found workaround. I released myself as that colony and converted that last province myself .

IIRC you can make your colonies into Crown Colonies, force them to stop expansion and tell them to start converting. But it is very annoying.

Hopefully we'll get videos detailing their experiences, the game is shaping up so well from dev diaries alone so I can't wait for gameplay.

Seems like a bunch of Paradox youtubers are in Barcelona, presumably getting a hands-on with EU5, increasing my hopes for an early summer release rather than a late summer/September instead.

The game has not even been officially announced yet. There is no shot it somehow releases in 2-3 months.

The final Tinto Talks on the feedback and changes from the last year of development has been released. Johan is taking a long break from dev diaries now and they will now focus on covering flavor in the game, next week's will be covering the HRE.

  • Added navy-based countries such as pirates
  • Every age will have unique modifiers assosciated with them to make them stand out
  • Removed concept of expeditions failing because it ruined gameplay for playtesters, instead the previous factors going into the failure rate will now impact the staging time of them
  • When you start a colonial charter you pick an origin province that pops will be sent from, shipping them will require goods and will provide a prosperity and development boost
  • Added a liberate slaves cb
  • You can unify your culture group via cabinet action if you're an empire, the dominant country of your primary culture, and there are no other countries within that culture group. Upon completion, your primary culture will change to a brand new culture. Pops in your country of the same culture group and language will also change to this culture. This can only be done once.
  • If you're a kingdom or empire and not the dominant country of your primary culture you can form a new culture
  • You can boost pop satisfaction in low control locations by building them up
  • Added cabinet interaction to suppress rebels

  • Removed concept of expeditions failing because it ruined gameplay for playtesters, instead the previous factors going into the failure rate will now impact the staging time of them
Someone tell the Vicky 3 team to make this change, assuming that tranny faggot Pacifica doesn't ree about how undoing their hard work on expeditions is transphobic.
