He is absolutely slaughtering any chance he has of pulling a Grover Cleveland. None of the internal slapfights within the Republicans will matter when not one single person outside that party will vote for you and a sizeable minority within it won't. Donald Trump will ensure a 2024 Democratic victory, and he'll never even be lucid enough to understand why.
And yet he could still win if Democrats don’t get their shit together assuming 2020 rules don’t come back around.

Not even Kamala could lose to him at this point. He's so hell-bent on destroying his own image that literally nobody will prefer him over anyone the Dems can field save for the diehard loyalists who were already in his corner. His strategy of playing to his base that won him 2016 has been inverted, and he's too high on copium to get that. Aside from the base-rallying, all he had going for him was that Hillary was every bit as hated as he was, and unlike him she had a proven track record of failures and fuckups. Now he's the one in that position, and even if they do run Kamala that won't be enough to level that playing field. It's to the point where I'd actually believe he was getting help from Russia, because only Russian strategy can lose this badly.

I'm pretty sure that Trump's peculiar definition of "Rigged and Stolen" is simply that he lost, because his statements about the election are practically a carbon copy of his statements about the Emmys back when he was on The Apprentice.

Trump is incapable of entertaining (much less accepting) the possibility that he could ever lose fairly in a popularity contest, because the thought of anyone or anything else being more popular or more well-liked than him is like kryptonite for his ego.

That's about as deep as this goes in my opinion. I'm not going to give him the credit and pretend that he's playing 4D chess or trying to cynically manipulate his way back into power like some power-crazed autocrat; he's really more like a petulant toddler throwing his toys out the pram because he isn't getting his way. A very sad spectacle for a 76-year-old man.
At this point, whatever evidence he and his supporters have (what was that website, hereisthevidence.com ?) ain’t going to reverse the 2020 election. If he knows how hated he is, surely he has to know how many people would vote against him.

The conservative base has always struggled as a party that by definition has no ideas on how to progress, at some point during the obama administration the republicans finally figured out how to market doing nothing as an agenda. Unfortunately that agenda is "making the libs mad." While most republicans take that half-hearted seriously, just as a tongue and cheek way to justify voting no on bills that would hurt corpo interests, the latest surge of republican candidates are taking it VERY seriously. Their only goal seems to be antagonistic to the side that doesn't vote for them. Trump was and still is the perfect person to capitalize on this, since hes entirely removed from politics and doesn't seem to have a single political stance on anything whatsoever. Him winning (even when he lost) would own the libs SO HARD. Which of course is the only thing his base cares about.

This is true. The modern GOP may as well be the Shit-post Party. It's truly all they're good for. No new ideas. No progression of old ideas. Nothing at all, but owning the libs. It's fucking pathetic, but it's profitable and that's why we're all here, right? Do you know how shitty you have to be to make the left, even the leftist of the left look like they're the only ones with a plan?

We can argue that the GOP has successfully carried out a decades long plan to dumb down the populous whilst indoctrinating them with white populist Jesus and building a base by using abortion, Jesus in government, and kill the gays as their carrots on a stick. It's worked. Sadly for all of us. However, that's a plan to just keep them in power to continue to amass wealth and fuck the plebs. This is not traditionally a stable governing plan. It typically ends with a guillotine.

I have yet to see, in my lifetime, a Republican with any plan for progression. The only plans I see are regression and oppression. I live in a DEEP red state so I know of what I speak.
Would you say that this is an accurate assessment of Donald Trump’s political career?

The "Putin simp" in the thread title certainly didn't age well, given how Vlad is basically teabagging Europe and America, and there isn't shit the senile fuckwit POTUS can do about it except shovel taxpayer dollars into the corruption sump that is Ukraine.

If Trump is a Putin simp, then Joe Biden is a Vlad cuck.
Well, Trump supporters support Russia a lot in part because it's a way to "own the libs" and because they see a Russia victory as the key to unlock Washington's corruption and get a lot of their enemies out of office.

To be fair, that isn't that outrageous. Biden's polling numbers are horrendous and since everything the dems try to implement is cockblocked by Manchin&Sinema, they aren't gonna get better. People would still vote for anyone that isn't Trump but they'd be less inclined to vote at all if none of the policies they supported last election aren't implemented at all.

On the other hand, Trump might be barred from running for office depending on what the DoJ does (I have no faith in them actually doing it but it would be hilarious if they pull it off).
Well, I think part of it will also be that if a Trump endorsed candidate gets the nod, the masses will be out again in the name of stopping the monster. Also, everyone’s going to be wary of 2020 scenarios when it comes to the right.

I actually miss Trump so much, I wish we had him back, Biden is not even a good shitposter he’s a lame duck with little to nothing special about him. Liberals can screech that he’s better than Drumpf but I imagine he’ll probably have an equal l’y mediocre run by the end of it.
I do like the Joe Biden Gaming tho.

As much as I personally dislike Trump on a human level (and have since well before his presidency), he was nowhere near as much of a catastrophic disaster as predicted, and better than he is generally reckoned. Just not starting any optional wars is a good comparison against, well, literally EVERY President since the '90s.

So was not taking any shit from China.

So was just NOT being a neocon. I really enjoyed when he brought John Bolton on board and then just routinely humiliated him in front of the rest of his staff.

Any good recipes for an Mac and cheese that can be made without an oven?

Depends on what you consider 'good', it's mostly about ingredients, but a microwave is often underestimated. I have an acrylic tupperware dish that can reach baking temperatures in the microwave—I'd cook some pasta to al dente in it, drain it off, make a roux with some flour, milk/cream and shredded cheese (ideally a mix of gruyere and mozzarella), stir it into the pasta and cook for another ten minutes, optionally with a butter-breadcrumb topping.

I remember how weird it was hearing he was running for presidency. Then hearing he won. I was telling people I knew, there's no way he is going to win. Just because of how ridiculous it was that it was fucking Donald Trump.

I mean, at this point its just a normal thing that he was the president. But when that happened. He was the "you're fired™" guy from the apprentice, at least as far as most people were concerned. So it was pretty surreal to me that he was going to be actually running the country.
