That would be a Wisconsin-specific question but possibly. It's a community property state and the debt currently belongs to the community. Even if they get divorced, she's still on the hook for it as much as Pat, although depending on how they split up the estate, they could possibly agree to have one or the other be responsible for it, although assigning all of it to a deadbeat loser like Pat might not be acceptable to the creditor.

In any event, if that lien on his property is good, that runs with the property and must be satisfied if they sell it.

I think it's worth noting that Pat's not going to be the only side presenting their case. Quasi's lawyer's going to be there, too. If Pat sullenly caves and says, 'Fine, fine, I'll pay it,' then Quasi's lawyer's going to be able to point to the Pretender's podcast and point out how he's publicly stated that he will never pay, he considers the judgment illegitimate, etc., and how Pat has already promised once, and brazenly changed his mind as soon as he had some time to himself. I think Quasi's got a very strong case here for requiring more than just Pat's word that he'll pay. Pat going out there and stating, 'We decided not to pay,' as a public excuse for not following through with the amortization plans is really harmful to his case. He didn't even try to pretend there was some mitigating circumstance.

The comments on YT are still pretty good, I'm glad all the commenters are doing the job "THE LAW&CRIME NETWORK" should have been doing, I hope they realize by now there is more than one side to this story.

I tried to capture every response yesterday Aug. 3rd, before they decided to start cleaning up the comments section. Its funny how nearly all were negative or skeptical. There's lots of trolling, but plenty of genuine reactions as well. I attached them to the post, rather than inline, because theyre large images.

I think he's only watched Law & Order. He's like notable litigant Russell Greer in that he believes he just needs to explain his side. Patrick genuinely believes he can sway the judge with his sob story, and drum up sympathy in the court of public opinion. But he's forgetting two things: the first is that this judge won't be swayed by appeals to emotion, especially from someone who got himself into this mess to begin with. Second, he's forgetting that the Pests will go out and correct the record- and unlike Patrick, they'll provide the proof.

But you're right it's totally not about re-litigating a case he already lost and blew any chance of appealing. The court's purpose here is purely ministerial and that is to enforce a final unappealable judgment, just as it would enforce a final judgment from Wisconsin.

The only reasons he could collaterally attack it would be for instance if he could show it was some other Patrick Sean Hamlinson who had the judgment against him, it wasn't actually a judge but the janitor put on a black robe and made up a judgment against him, the judgment literally doesn't exist and Quasi's lawyer had an AI generate a fake judgment document that somehow fooled everyone, etc.

It's somewhat similar to an extradition hearing from another state in that they have no interest in anything other than that you're the person in question, and if you start griping about I wuz framed they don't care, you can go back to that other state and argue that there from jail.

I hope he makes an argument worthy of a sovcit.
