Ralph could have been unironically saved if he'd gotten jail time over the Faith revenge porn charges. He'd been forced to stop drinking, stop doing drugs, exercise, etc. Instead, he fled to Mexico, got easy access to "prescribed" pills and has deteriorated faster and faster by the day.

He could have done his time, gotten out, still had loyal Gaytor at his side and he could have started over. He probably wouldn't even have gotten a second kid, either the horse would have left him when he went to jail or she would have supported him throughout it, no child support, no war with Harry, maybe even financial help from Harry to buy a place in NY with a cuckshed to broadcast the world famous kill report out of.
Unfortunately for him (and fortunately for us), he didn't go to jail and is stuck forever as whatever the fuck sort of dancing monkey he is now.

Of course for something like that to happen, it would require introspection, humility and the ability to learn from his mistakes, so it would never play out like that. Still, he would be in much better shape than he is now if he had spend 6-12 months in jail.
