No business spending his entire adult life getting validation for his midwit takes in Facebook and Twitter.

Ralph should have been a plumber, a mechanic, a fork lift operator, a factory worker.

Whatever you want to say about Ralph, he had enough drive and charisma when he was young to thrive in a trade.

He could have easily gotten into a union at around 25, married a homely girl, be a good enough christian, have some kids.

Now at 37 he would fully own a house, probably a second one as a rental, a teenage kids he actually loved, a wife he doesn't despise, higher income than he has now, and manageable debt.

He would still be fucking tech illiterate and probably be one of those boomers that uses a dumb phone, but it wouldn't matter at all, he wouldn't even understand Twitter and have no desire to.

It could have gone so much better.

There are thousands if not tens of thousands of Ralphs in the trades and they don't really fare that well. His type of abrasive and addictive personality often make them pirahas.

If Ethan Ralph had gone down the blue collar route he would have been the deliquent do anything for minimum wage type. The type that lives in the employe housing crackshack rent free while being up in to their neck indebt with collectors coming by every week. You know the type that either imports a wife from a devloping country or marries the local munchausen case and puts everything in her name. The type of idiot you can't trust with anything but sometimes you are so overbooked and he's the only one available. The type that would austrice himself by just not being able to shut the fuck up for 2 seconds. But one thing the "Ralph" types do well is that they find good natured idiots to exploit so they can sustain themselves by living of their good name.

His alcohol abuse, bad temper, inferiority complex and the tendency to discharge his frustrations of being weaker than other men have nothing to do with that.

If he practiced an offline trade he would still deal with all of this shit but you wouldn't heard about it. He would be yet another alcoholic wife beater like Ronnie. That's not an improvement from where he is currently at. It's even worse because this life provided him with the wealth to actually do something it with and become better, do better. So now, he is wealthy enough to abuse his vices to a Scale neither Roonie or "Paw Paw" could ever dream of. Ralph probably thinks he'd be alright because of them being quite longevous but the thing is that they could only dream of abusing drugs and alcohol at the scale Ralph is doing it now so his lifespan will definitely be shorter than theirs. It happened to me, at 29 I was making 20 times the money my dad was in his 50's while being single, so I fucking started to drink and party a lot. But since I am self aware after a few months I realized I was being extremely retarded and decided to stop walking the path of alcoholism and got my shit together.

That's why he thinks he is winning and living the life.
