Ralph is struggling with the betrayal of his wife and it's affecting his show. Since he's committed to winning her back, it may help lift his spirits to reminisce on all the good times they had together as a reminder of what he's fighting for.

Wonder if that is why he made amends with Rekieta? Ralph making amends with everyone he’s wronged he’d have to admit to doing wrong in the first place. He should definitely ask for forgiveness of the mothers of his children. After all he doesn’t like it when people talk about his mother, yet he does far worse things than talk about his kid’s mothers.

If he actually took the steps seriously he would see he is his biggest alog. His enablers are a close second. Can Ralph take a break from self harming and to actually try to heal? At least not cause any more harm especially for his children.

The correct AA version of "making amends" is not making amends with someone (making up); it is supposed to be making amends to someone - in other words, trying to acknowledge and articulate honestly how you fucked them over and to try to make up for just how badly you fucked them over. That's not a "conversation" with people you harmed. Creating peace with some other dumb fuck who is equally lost and/or says "sure, man, peace" is a sort of lame gift from them, not facing up to the havoc and damage you have caused.

I guess if everyone around you is a shallow POS, "making amends" is easy to check off the list.

Good luck making amends to your dead mother whom you treated like shit in her waning days, boyo.

The trap he seems to be setting for himself is that as soon as he starts to make a little bit of progress, he's going to be tempted to celebrate and reward himself by backsliding.

This is part of the reason, but what you also need to consider is how Ralph's "all or nothing" attitude will surely fuck this up. I am sorry, but when you: a) Have this much ongoing concurent stress factors in your life and b) Addicted to so much stimulants all at once - there is practically no room for you to handle and quell all of your addictions at once or with very little time in between them. Not "impossible" by any means but it requires three things: persistant will power, strong dominion over your body and motivation.
I can give Ralph the motivation part, but when has he ever displayed the first two traits? Functionally he has no concept of delayed gradification, it is always substituting with him. Replacing booze with weed / xannies / food, etc. Past this point the only possible long-term sober version of Ralph is Ralph on krokodil.

According to asture medical doctor, psychologist and all round expert, Ethan Ralph M.D, Null is schizophrenic and always "recounts stories wrong".

What if the Gunt subforum is really nothing but a bunch of Null's voices and headmates schizo posting and in reality, everyone really loves Ethan Ralph, big fans of the Killstream?

What if we're all just the voices in Null's head? What if we, in our real lives, are all mega fans of the Killstream and Null's made a forum - no, entire site - to a-lawg Ralph, masquerading as his biggest fans and pay pigs and in reality, Ralph is mega rich and a Buff Squidward version of himself?

If Ralph ever becomes sentient enough to realize making his mom Uber to dialysis was only one of the many times he fucked up with Sandra, it's gonna be a completely different type of sobering.

She wasn't a perfect person by any means, but Sandra is the only person who loved Ethan, unconditionally. Yea, she likely played a key role in Ethan being Ethan, but that's still his mom who he treated like everyone else. (i.e., a lesser person than himself)

Not that I think Ralph is capable of any sort of significant recovery, but that's a circle he'd have to square for any chance of personal redemption.

Yeah, thats what Ethel never got, he was never the entertaining part of the show back in "the good old days". He was just the delivery mechanism for the entertainment. Even when he fully became a drunken, pilled up rage piggie, he was only as entertaining as those he was afueding with, and only when he had enough energy to do stupid shit. And now, with his whole "Imma neu mann" sthick he's even less entertaining than ever.

Very true. I liked Tardski`s take a few episodes of KK back when he stated that there is an active "cottage indsutry" around Ralph, but it is mostly about his actions, his feuds, etc., but not about the inner pig himself. Which means, Ralph is never entertaining in a vacuum or as a "normal person".
From him, the statement "Amma go sober" is akin to "Amma start doing journalism again". Through all the bridges he had demolished, he is now physically incapable of being anything more than a sideshow freak. Not in terms of skill or effort but in terms of financial support. He is not Spoony, who used to make good shit and then fell down the spiral before attempting to patch things up. For Ralph there is no audience that is eager to see return of the pre-2021 Ralphamale or whateverthefuck. Ralph is an 8 second yell on the Boulder stream, a cackle in between Sargon pitching Gamergate 2.0., a string of demeaning adjectives, but in no way a deep and interesting person.

Money, influence. Rekieta has the larger audience and is the easiest bridge to mend. “I’m sorry I made you a blood enemy for life all because you laughed at me shitting my pants live on air but that wasn’t me that was the booze! Now give me access to your audience and paypigs I’m sober now!” Ralph has shown he can mend things with people as he did with Fuentes so long as he gets money. Ralph’s at the end of the line, pay pigs are drying up, and he’s desperate to do anything.

Ralph is like a lot of a certain type of man throughout history - hates women and will bleed them dry and blame them for everything, yet fail absolutely at being independent of them.
He's continually parasitic.

You see it in True Crime stories often.
Man will leech off parents, then when money runs out or they're found out - they murder them, i.e Joel Guy Jr.
Or man leeches off wife, spends her money on affairs, gambling etc, won't give attention or love or money to his kids, will willingly paypig prostitutes, then kills wife/kids.

Not to mention, his reasoning centre in his brain was fucked at birth, now with drugs and alcohol to brine in, it's completely gone. So his regard for his donor victims will be even less than before. He "loves" as long as the good times for Ethan keep rolling.
