an app for women that explicitly excludes tranny's is going to get media attention which will of course immediately turn into "OWNED BY THE SAME GUY WHO OWNS KIWIFARMS" all women only spaces that actually mean it get assaulted but one with you involved will get firebombed like dresden. honestly I think it would have MORE problems and opponents than this site does. how would the app possibly support itself? it would probably get taken down from most app stores, and there would be constant campaigns to prevent any companies from advertising on it.
I don't think there's any way to avoid the campaigns against it or the problems, you'd probably have to lean into it and get support and publicity for it from big terfs. if you grew it fast enough the more womem using it would make new users feel more secure to do it themselves. it should probably also stay SFW.

If you believe these two things:
1. Women in general should have places to themselves, and
2. Women who support troonery should face the real-world consequences (vs. supporting it from afar)
...then it makes gatekeeping easier. Make one of the rules "no bringing XYs into our female community", and if someone shows up advocating for troonery, it doesn't matter if it's a male who evaded the ID system, or a shitlib collaborator. Remove them and do not entertain a "culture of critique".

You'd get spammed with fake IDs. A troon the likes of Dong-Gone would commission a fake-id generator to spam the submission form. It doesn't even have to be very good if you commit to not looking at IDs yourself.

In my experience, putting a bunch of women together in one space online left to their own devices always ends in complete fucking soapbox drama disasters. If you want to do this, by all means go ahead and do it. I'm sure plenty of women would enjoy it. I hope you bring on a separate team to moderate it for you though.

Surely there's an "all you can eat" ID checking service? I mean, that is their job, to catch fakes. And while you'd get flurries of trolls, I can't imagine it'd be worse than the day to day of somewhere like a crypto exchange like you said.

women through all of history have had time and places where they could have community with one another. drawing water at the local well, communal food preparations like mayan women making masa in large groups, running the home, supporting one another. only recently has this changed, now they aren't allowed one because we aren't allowed to discriminate against anyone "worse off" or more self destructive than we are.
I would never call myself a male feminist but I do genuinely think this is a good thing to do and I would be willing to support it even though I would obviously never use such a service.

Horrible idea. This would be associated with kiwifarms as a far right nazi incel doxxing website or whatever and then someone would hack it, leak the IDs, and publish the identity of everyone on there forever, potentially barring them from employment in the future.

The catch is that forging government-issued identification is a crime and a pretty serious one at that. Committing a crime just to creep on women on a women only discussion app is fucking stupid. I'm sure people will still do it, but hopefully the idea of having a criminal record that will follow you around and fuck your life up is enough of a deterrent for most people.
I guess committing both stupid and heinous crimes never stopped Chris-Chan, but I like to think that most people are at least more aware of the consequences of their actions than CwC.
He literally explained that the ID would be checked by a third party service and only a validated GUID would be generated and stored. If the site was compromised and troon hackers figured out how to make the site spit out user information, the only thing stored in SQL would be a collection of GUIDs that would be useless in trying to identify people.
Your ID would be checked and if it was authentic and met the requirements (age/sex/etc), it would dispose of the ID information/photos and make a note that your ID passes the checks. The service would assign and identifier to you along with a special string that looks like (85b16f05-0d00-4751-85a0-026e8bc52a67). That would get forwarded onto the True and Honest Women app. If troons or incels get butthurt and use the magic of computer science III to dump the SQL table containing usernames,passwords,account identifiers,validated flag,validated guid, etc. You get useless information, salted hashes, and a string of random characters that doesn't expose your ID.

Yes, you cannot stop people from making accounts, but you can make it increasingly difficult and stop them from getting back in once banned until they run out of IDs to steal.

I'm not a tech guy but having read the OP what's being suggested seems fairly resistant to that sort of thing. they couldn't hack the app and get the information, I don't even know if they could get it by hacking the third party verification company.
that is true, and it would happen but every time the guy gets found out he'd have to get another woman to help him, and a guy that obsessed with breaking onto the app to mess with or be accepted by women probably doesnt have that many female friends willing to help him.
