Pitch: Women's Only App Enforced by 3rd Party ID Verification

Horrible idea. This would be associated with kiwifarms as a far right nazi incel doxxing website or whatever and then someone would hack it, leak the IDs, and publish the identity of everyone on there forever, potentially barring them from employment in the future.
So never do anything ever, anything that's positive or productive shouldn't be tried. Cool opinion. Are you this much of a pussy in your own life, too? Do you never take a risk or go out on a limb because you're paralyzed by the potential negative consequences that could happen and can't handle any pushback?
Total. Negative Nancy. Death.

I could charge upfront.
You'd have the usual payment processing issues, and the troons that didn't get through would demand money back because, they'd say, they paid for a forum account but were denied service.

(And it'd be a harder sell to potential users to submit both their ID and their payment method. Yes I know they'll be going to third parties, but people are dumb.)
Maybe there's a verification service that charges users for verification attempts.

You wouldn't even need to create a fake ID, a man could just as ask a woman to sign up for him and then use her account.
Or a woman can copy and post the content elsewhere, in the open. So what? It's never going to be a supah sikrit treehouse.

I think the app would face far more financial and legal issues than technical ones. where would you proliferate the app? the biggest app stores are the google play store, the apple app store and the Ios/Android app store. would any of them even let you keep it on there? im not being defeatist, I genuinely dont know.

Amazing idea, a women's only space is one of the greatest necessities of the modern era, Women deserve to share their experiences with other women on what men will know nothing about. As a man, I feel embarrassed for other men thinking they deserve to share a space with other women, just because they call themselves one. Us men already have plenty of necessities when it comes to Internet freedom, women deserve it as much as well.

I can't wait to see how this plays out, if Null can keep this forum up against all odds, he will do the same with this.

It's a good idea for the women to have their own spaces. I'm not understanding why any other dude here cares.

Unfortunately, I don't think it'll work. The KF userbase is relatively tech savvy and, even still, people balk at having to purchase crypto to keep the site running.

I think the women, justifiably, wouldn't want to send their IDs to a third party place to receive a token to access to a "TERF" site knowing how many troons are in tech and would be chomping at the bit to dox them.
The women at Ovarit do a pretty good job keeps troons out. My understanding is that women are pretty good at detecting troons in their midst anyway.

Maybe it could work on the honour system? And by using referrals?
If you're found to have brought a XY to the site then you and everyone else you invited gets banned?
And if there was a man suspected that person would then have to prove they weren't?

I think the bigger problem would be people screencapping stuff to hurt other users. There would need to be something to make that more difficult - like how Wickr/Incognito tabs work.

If I get asked this question again I am just straight up dunking on you.
Everything competes for our limited time and I don't think that's a compelling enough to convince people to open a new account with a new service. You're ignoring my question. I am asking how you would market this with more tact than a banner in bold that says No Creepy Men, Only Female Sex Perverts Allowed.

How are you going to break through to a relatively normal audience rather than just to maladjusted internet people?

I actually like the idea. I could see there being applications in any manner of exclusive online communities.

No they don't.
Are you married? Have you dated a woman before?

There are plenty of things that Mrs. and I like to do together. There are also plenty of things that we don't do together that she does with other women. Same with woman friends of mine. It's completely normal.

Competing concepts existed abroad and were shut down. They had active users. There's active users scattered across a bunch of platforms right now trying to deal with an intrusion that the powers that be tell them to shut up and accept as normal. It's not "maladjusted internet people".

I don't understand what you're driving at. You're not a woman, you have no role in this.

The women at Ovarit do a pretty good job keeps troons out.
I think that part of that is that Ovarit is a pretty tranny hostile website so it’s much easier to gatekeep against them, so trannies are more interested in getting it shut down rather than trying to infiltrate it. Trannies very much work on a system of being given an inch and taking a mile.
