Not to be a complete retard, but as someone who's always felt somewhat aware of zoomer meme shit. This Lario meme is the first time I've seen something (particularly related to something I have interest in) that I cannot get the joke at all. I desperately want to at least get what the joke is whenever I see people point and laugh, but nothing.

It was a gag during a spriting stream: McPig was drawing the Gnome Forest card art and scribbled "Lario" up top for shits and giggles. That was it.
The best things to come out of Lario were the YTPMVs, especially the ones that keep the Peppino jumpscare (which are sadly few).

That is not a new claim in the slightest. Supposedly the pizza tower guy cobbled the entire game from scratch using tutorials on how to code. The game itself has zero faggotry whatsoever in the literal sense and is very fun. Very much worth the shekels. It's just the unfortunate reality of any new game becoming popular on the modern Internet that autistic zoomers develop an unhealthy obsession and try to force their insane ideas onto shit.

• McPig liked to laugh at the word retard and while no gamer words were said he joked a lot and worse, he posted crash bandicoot music
• Time passes to current year, pizza tower comes out and everyone loves it
• Cue a schizo on /v/ to spam that McPig was a Keffals/troon supporter as he liked Keffals posts on twitter (not confirmed if it happened or not as nothing was shown)
• On top of that twitter faggots start attaching themselves to pizza tower due to its speedrunning aspect and some fag said "Celeste for weirdos" which then kicked off this weird PEPPINO IS FEMALE TO MALE TROON RIGHTS thing
• Cue said twitter faggots to start finding those HORRIBLE HORRIBLE jokes and crash bandicoot music mentioned earlier, calling the crash music racist, McPig nearly bends the knee but didn't all the way
• Some kid on Tumblr made a Google doc documenting all the horrible things McPig said, turned out said kid doesn't even care anyways
• Cut to now where McPig finally closed off his discord, not allowing people to make posts but the server is still up, still not groveling for troon mercy as he made a good amount of money from pizza tower and went back to work on dlc

That should be a rough rundown of the wacky shenanigans that happened around the funny pizza game, it got very popular very quickly so troons latched on and didn't realize the shitposters living among the pizza

With every good, highly successful indie project comes the most unlikable, terminally online people to ruin any joy of discussing it offline. Undertale/Hollow Knight/Ultrakill/etc. will forever be something I talk about behind closed doors since it raises a red flag the moment you mention it in casual, irl conversation. I doubt all people who like these things are this obnoxious, but those who openly discuss it after all the weird shit online is up is an immediate suspect for nombre uno faggotry.

Watch this happen to Pizza Tower in a month or two from now till it becomes just as unbearable as Ultrakill. Tumblr was plague on this generation and Twitter succeeds in spreading it.
