In the immortal words of King Cobra JFS: What the fuck is this nasty shit.
I love the headcanon people had after the fight in Silver and Gold that Red and Leaf are Edgy bastards. It's so fucking stupid that it wraps around to being great.

But the best version of Red was the Pokemon Origins version, seeing his journey was fun.

I think Red would be more "serenely silent" dude than "brooding edgelord." Like stoic but still easy to get along with and just doesn't bother having an opinion on stuff not related to pokemon.

The weirdest thing is that the actual remade Kanto is pretty visually appealing in Let's Go (at least by switch pokemon standards)

Let's go even made unique battle backgrounds for locations you won't return to like the S.S. Anne. Some screenshots from the game:

I do think that let's go is definitely subpar for a full priced game, but some things about it are still nice.

Ah, If you think that's bad look at Blue

Both of them touch children.
I liked the random fanart at the time depicting them as Jojo characters.

I cannot deny that Kakyoin Blue looks good like that. I like a good Jojo meme, even if the (western) fanbase is shit.

That's cute. I had been considering getting LG because I'm a filthy genwunner by heart but 3D pokemon in general makes me sad, even worse when Nintendo doesn't do huge discounts on their games and the Pokemon Go gimmick of throwing the pokeball yourself.

Pokémon has a billion trillion dollars for ads at the Super Bowl and the Olympics, but can't be bothered to put a few bucks toward a new sprinkle press.

Truly, we live in the ashes of a fallen civilization.
The sad part is people will buy these up because the shitlennials that are trying to relive the nostalgia also ate up all of the slop from pokemania.
My mom works a job in retail and this is the text I recieved from her this morning.

They’re going to buy them out and resell them because they don’t have a real job.

Oh, she knows now. Unfortunately, there was no fist fight over the children's card game but I heard those men were waiting for Pokemon cards for upwards of four hours, maybe more.

There's a Pokemon card vending machine at my local Acme supermarket. It's always being haunted by grown men. The guard mentioned that some guy was coming back multiple times a day. The machine is in the doorway. So you have to pass by these autists if you want to enter the store. The doorway is kind of small and a lot of these guys are obese.

I remember seeing some hanging around walmart for the JM holdings guy. I went back to get an energy drink before work and they were still there, 6 hours later.

They’ve decided to take the one in the local safeway out because it was drawing too much trouble and was empty most of the time. It was always just the same group of fat, smelly dysgenic sewer creatures.

I got my two ASC two-pack blisters in the mail earlier in the week, I pulled a Full-Art Counter Gain and a Mega Attack Rare Mega Froslass ex. The Counter Gain is worth less than a dollar (very few decks run it and even fewer place well) but the Mega Froslass ex was worth the price of the two blisters and it's somewhat useful thanks to its first attack having the potential to deal a huge amount of damage for one Water Energy.

Here's a fun fact about JM Holdings: their current deal with Walmart only requires that they sell a certain percentage of their products at MSRP, the rest are sold via a third-party seller on Walmart's website for market value. Oh, and Walmart doesn't see a dime from these sales.

I don’t know why they keep them around and allow them to take up shelf space. They used to also weigh packs from their reclaims and divvy them up between their gambling addict mystery boxes before they started just selling cgc slabs no one wanted.

I think them moving to slabs and charging market price in stores (if you find a TCG products at Walmart with a sticker over the barcode then that was JM Holdings' doing, it changes the price to what they want to charge for it) is because they smell the blood in the water after TPCi bought out Excell and can sense that their time distributing Pokémon products to big box stores might be over soon.
