PC's virtual queue is actually better than the likes of Target and Walmart, it somehow manages to filters out a good chunk of bot users. If you're wondering why some scalpers have walls of PC-exclusive ETBs it's usually due to an unpatched backdoor that usually gets fixed up in the next drop.
As far as price is concerned each ETB is $59.99 but you get an extra pack and two promos (with one being stamped) compared to the bog-standard ETBs.
My favourite Pokemon chart. I'm not someone who criticizes a region's design much (besides most of the ZA megas) so it wasn't too hard to fill, just had to make sure no repeats (besides pokemon who later got evos). Gen 2 was probably the hardest to fill for me given that Johto mons overall aren't great.
Pokemon champions actually makes me so mad that I had to make this 'jak. I don't know how The Pokemon Works did it, but they managed to reach below our already ground level expectations. I mean FOR FUCK'S SAKE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MAKE A BATTLE SIM THAT CAN'T BE THAT HARD.
Apparently not, because the typewriter monkeys working for the multibillion dollar company can't even get the battle system to work. Like how do you make Haze heal damage, how do you make Mega evolution dependent on speed?
Unfortunately I can't share this anywhere else out of fear I get banned for "hate speech".
Stop playing Pokemon Chaffpions and start playing pokemon Stadium GS like a true chad. BATTLE NOW!
Might as well put up mine, no surprise which one won best of the best for me. Tried my best to have no repeats per row: Kinda tough for more of these than I thought.
I'm really trying to fill one of these out, but it's rare that I find a slot where I have a clear #1 pick.
Usually, I want to pick either zero guys or five at once.
eh, fuck it, it's been a year since the last. Might as well
slowly starting to realize that a lot of my favorites are concentrated into very specific types that make choosing their ultimate favorites a new form of torture
This becomes a slog after gen 3. It's a bunch of "yea, I guess..". There's still some I really like but it becomes 1 or 2 a generation not having to make actual choices. I didn't repeat evo lines. It only got to be best in type in 1 type.

Pokémon Center put up their preorders for Chaos Rising about an hour ago and I managed to place an order, I'll be getting two PC-exclusive ETBs around release day.
And my POR ETB and booster bundles should be coming in today pending any courier shenanigans.
Woke up this morning (got myself a gun). Decided to take a stroll in and around the Botanic Garden just to enjoy whatever “nice” scenery is left of NYC.
Surprising amount of Japan-related themes.
Probably explains why everyone watches the learning japanese channel so much, although I was able to find a channel airing something different… the Horoscope Channel. Apparently people born in February are “very free-spirited and unique kind of person that can attract others with their unique charm”. Meanwhile those born in April are “those that hate to loose, but people respect your strong character”. I couldn’t be fucked to watch the others.
As I was walking I passed by a daycare where some little bastards and even their Nursery Aide decided they wanted to battle me. Hell, there were two of them that wouldn’t let me pass unless I had a double battle with them. What kind of fucked up shit is that?
After that I run into Chespen and we wind up having a battle (because of course we do… starting to notice a pattern). Out of nowhere those Team Plasma goons run past us with Bianca and a little girl following them. Apparently Plasma stole the girl’s Pokemon so Chespen and I follow them.
We wind up finding them in an abandoned building.
Supposedly, this building used to house an underground cheese aging facility called “Crown Finish Caves” from 2014-2022.
It’s starting to become apparent to both Chespen and I that the more we fight these Plasma idiots, the more we realize their nothing more than thugs under the guise of “Pokemon Civil Rights”. So let me get this straight… You believe Pokemon are “suffering” under their trainers, and you want to free them in order to make them happy, so in order to do that you force people via brute force into giving up their pokemon. Meanwhile your group is the ONLY one that can have Pokemon.
In short, we return the Pokemon to the little girl and I wind up getting more Pokeballs out of it.
I arrive at my next destination and not even 5 seconds into it Chespen is already in my face telling me where the Pokemon Center is even though I can see it right in front of me. He also tells me about the 2nd Gym and how it uses Normal Types and how they are weak to Fighting Types (nooooooooooo, really?). Gotta be honest though, kinda getting tired of battling nothing but Normal Types. Unless you count the Dark Cat or the elemental monkeys or the “totally out of place in a fucking city” Electric Zebra I encountered at the Botanic Garden, I haven’t seen too many other types.
So apparently this place is called “The City of Art”, and it so happens there is a place called “High School Of The Arts”.
Oh…. It’s one of THOSE schools. NEVERMIND!
Well surely the rest of the town isn’t as horrible as the school...
Fun Fact: This town was also where the movie Clockers by Spike Lee was made, and even had two novels written about it ("Motherless Brooklyn" and "The Fortress of Solitude"). For some reason this is also the town that seems to pride themselves in turning old warehouses into housing units, because they are fucking EVERYWHERE! One of them even houses the third gym leader (at least whenever he gets artist’s block).
Speaking of Gym leaders, I should try to take on the second… oh fuck it’s N. He’s still spewing nonsense but he now has different pokemon. O.K.? And now he’s talking about capturing one of the legendary pokemon… good luck with that I guess. The gym in this town is a Museum that has a Dragonite skeleton in the middle of the floor. I’ve heard about them in Japan, and always thought they were cool. I heard we have our own dragons but I’ve never seen them before. I plan on getting one for my team. The assistant director shows me around and then tells me he is the husband of the Gym leader.
Apparently in order to get to her I need to read books… oh no… my one true weakness!!
Actually it’s not that bad because they are books for like 5 year olds. I find the secret passage and… wait…
THAT’S the assistant director’s wife!?!?
Should have figured since its THIS town! By the way, her pokemon are assholes. Between Herder’s Intimidate and Watchog’s Retaliate (not to mention both of them knowing Leer), I wound up having to train my Smugleaf around Cadman Plaza so it won’t die so easily next time.
Good thing I did though… I found a pink Pokemon that gives you HUGE amounts of XP. The problem is that you need to walk around like a fucking idiot for a while until they start to get antsy in the tall grass. Fucking cops patrolling the area think I’m some fucking nutjob for walking around in circles for most of the day (so basically a town local).
Anyway I finally defeat the Gym leader and… god dammit, Team Plasma again??? And they’re going to liberate all pokemon… by stealing a dragon skeleton head from the museum. I have no words. On the plus side, the third gym leader came to town and is going to help me get the Dragonite head back… except he’s being a bit of a bastard by making me take the long path inside Cadman Plaza. But hey… I got a new pokemon to add to my team.
This thing is a cool-looking bug Pokemon, and normally me and bugs don’t get along well, but the fact that this thing evolves into an 8 foot 2 inch Centaur-looking behemoth tickles my fancy in all sorts of ways… in fact Centaur is the perfect nickname for it. Not to mention it’s one of the few bug pokemon that can learn BOTH Rock Slide and Earthquake to remove the three main weaknesses it has (Flying/Rock/Fire).
Only thing it has going against it is it’s cry… fucking ear-rape to the max.
So walking through this place I happened to find something that might be more annoying than Team Plasma… fucking Rangers hiding in shrubs to jumpscare the fuck out of me with a Pokemon battle. I don’t care if the berries they give are helpful, fuck off with that shit. So finally got the Dragon Skull back. Third Gym leader finally showed up to “help”, and the more he talks, the more I think he’s sailing a different boat if you know what I mean. Gave the skull back to the second gym leader, and now I’m going to crash for the night before I head to the next gym.
This is the map of Pokemon Saiph. In the left you have the region that you will spend most of your time and in the post game you go to Hoenn.
Then in Hoenn what can you do? Catch stronger pokemon, see more visual bugs and literally run around Zapdos and Articuno. That is it. Most of the buildings are locked with no one inside and there are only scientists talking about radiation outside but it is mostly empty and the existing buildings were also removed like the gyms, devon corp and so on.
So after this I thought: maybe I will go to the league again, this is my current team:
And they did increase their levels and so on but I won't grind more to attempt again.
Overall my thoughts on Pokemon Saiph are it is a very flawed game. There are some visual bugs and a strange limitation on available TMs and items, I found two PP up in the whole game and in the postgame I found items like potion or premier ball. It is quite weird how the mapping is done: you see areas that you think: there is a hidden item here or anything just to be nothing there. I would rate a 6/10.
You are an undercover police of the IP and your plane BTFO mid air and you get lost in an island. The game seems to be fully story focused and you even get inner thoughts. Quite uncommon for pokemon games
One cool thing is that the items in overworld actually are shown instead of just being pokeballs.
You have the system of mini missions that loved in unbound, quite cool.
And since it is a story game, we will have lots of moments like this, a dream scenario full of angst.
This part was actually cool, I was being interviewed and my character actually appeared in the screen in the upper left monitor.
One of the cities is actually a big city with transit, cars, sidewalks and so on.
But I did commit a mistake with the game options: there is a level scaling in the game but all NPCS will scale their entire team with the most leveled pokemon of your team and you can't turn it off.
My starter is the strongest and I can't grind levels with the other pokemon so every battle has a risk of loss since the level scaling is quite brutal in the leveling part instead of stopping the player to overlevel
It has more potential than Saiph 1 for now. The game looks really beautiful
I saw a video of it and thought it looked cool, I like the idea of a roguelike Pokemon without XP grinding while still having a story. There's an official English translation that seems to be decently supported, though the dev is a Spanish speaker so you might end up on some Spanish pages when looking for docs and such.
Pokémon has a billion trillion dollars for ads at the Super Bowl and the Olympics, but can't be bothered to put a few bucks toward a new sprinkle press. (tw/ar)
Truly, we live in the ashes of a fallen civilization.
