Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

If it's one thing I can say about SWSH it's at least GF didn't fuck themselves over loading a bunch of secret legendaries like they did with x y, SUMO, and USUM. Just old Pokemon leaks.
Probably because none of them will be in SWSH. They already locked specific UBs and Zeraora to USUM, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they went the extra mile and put all the new mythicals into whatever this year's game is and simply use the old legendaries already in the code for raid den events in the coming months.

I had fun showing all the parts int he game where the mouse shows. Especially in the end credits. No one believed me when I told them and seeing their expressions at it was fucking hilarious.
I feel like Sword and Shield were one of those games where it's so bad that it loops back around to being decent.

Wait there was more than one instance of that happening? And how exactly where did the cursors cone from anyways?

Also I know I am very late on this but how much is Masuda responsible for all the things happening with SwSh? I rarely hear about the actual director.

considering when ohmori was asked if he looked to anyone else for inspiration for game development he just confusingly said "Mr. Masuda?" I think he has a tighter hold on Ohmori then most other producers have on their directors

I get it now. I am not very knowledgable on video game development so I was curious since people love to use one person as a scapegoat for every thing that goes wrong with a game. Wasn’t sure how much of the blame was deserved or not.

There's still TPC too. Who really knows how much they had to do with this.

From what I recall, he didn't really have much of an influence on the development of the game. But since he was mentioned (and issued the apology), he's getting the same treatment as Todd Howard (even being considered the Japanese equivalent by some).

The opening cutscene and credits cutscene have cursors. It kinda makes sense for the opening cutscene because your character is watching a video on a computer. The cursors come from someone moving their mouse around while recording the screen in order to have a video of the cutscenes (there's gotta be a smarter way to import them into the game, but Game Freak wouldn't know how to do that).
Anyway, why haven't Sword and Shield been patched? Numerous signfiicant bugs have been found and the games are almost two months old. I know they usually only patch game-breaking bugs, but some polish would be nice.

Too busy making 2020's game, if anything will be patched it will be in ULTRA SWSH or whatever because game freak wants to sell updates as full 60 dollar releases

SWSH actually have competitive game breaking bugs, that will in turn hurt the scene of the game if not addressed soon before an Ultra version.

Shofu posted a vid on sucker punch not working due to a port priority and some other factors. Believe left side only has been debunked as false, but considering how big the move is in the meta it will cause a lot of people to reconsider competitive pokes until the issues are solved. Smogon has addressed it as well as people bonking Trick Room priority as well.

I haven't run into that many bugs, but as I've said I haven't been paying attention. The one issue I do have is when I'm in the wild connected to the internet, the lag is unreal and every one just pops in. I like the concept but shit is it executed poorly.

Not to mention the people floating occasionally. They should also try to patch the random crashing and transformed Pokémon being unable to use “special” animations (Ditto/Mew clips through the floor when using Behemoth Blade, disappears when using Eternabeam, etc.).

Doesn’t Instruct have some sort of bug as well? Can’t seem to find anything specific.

Yeah apparently if the Pokemon has the ability Stalwart (Ignores the effects of opposing Pokémon's Abilities and moves that draw in moves) and Instruct is used on it, it'll target the pokemon on the first slot. So if Oranguru+ Duraladon are on the same team, Dural uses Brick Break, then Oranguru uses instruct on it, it'll attack Oranguru and ignore the target.

I got online for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was so confused about why all of these weird NPCs were popping in and out all over the place. Can't get in raid battles, either, due to the timeout issue. I wish they'd at least fix the multiplayer features, but we all know they're not going to.

Actually the player character watches the introduction cutscene on a phone, so the mouse cursor definitely shouldn't be there.

I thought X/Y was the dankest shit and am baffled at how they ditched everything extra in that game to half-ass new features that suck ass. For that matter, it's a goddamn crime that in Sword/Shield you can't play any sort of repeat to the sheep herding/waterpipe puzzle/ spinning puck/ vibrating maze minigames in the gym challenges. Those are fun and worth randomizing/repeating for watts or something, but no! One time gimmicks, drop them like a rock.

I hate all of Gen 6 and even I realize it did some things better than Gen 8. What the fuck was wrong with the PSS? Festival Plaza and the Y-Comm are so fucking bad.

Thats kinda why I think Gen 8 is worse then Gen 6. X and Y for all its unfinished and half baked state, made alot of strides in making shit more ui friendly with stuff like PSS and marginally with Super Training
then Gen 7 replaced alot of them with inferior mechanics, Festival Plaza especially
Gen 8 has somehow combined the cumbersome replacements a la gen 7 with the Unfinished feeling Gen 6 has.
