I don't understand where people draw their optimism from for Legends ZA, the games coming out next year and the only thing they were confident enough to show was a title card. Is it cope?

Nintendo didn't want shit leaking about the Switch 2.I don't understand where people draw their optimism from for Legends ZA, the games coming out next year and the only thing they were confident enough to show was a title card. Is it cope?
Its already upstaged by Garchomp by doing Dragon/Earth better with a good speed tier.I'm going to have a big screaming-with-laughter-to-tears should it turn out Zygarde gets upstaged in its own fucking game and no new revelations about it are given. No respect for green snek.
I'm assuming strictly from Legends Arceus being a somewhat decent game. Adding Legends to it tricks the normie into thinking quality will be there because tag they recognize.I don't understand where people draw their optimism from for Legends ZA, the games coming out next year and the only thing they were confident enough to show was a title card. Great points, just want to add in to yours that Mega Stones take away the item slot, which gives all the more reason to make the Mega form either "mandatory" or so useless it's never factored.Bottom line is, there's too much room for error to end with either a bad looking Mega or a useless one.
I'd honestly say Venusaur was the closest to making it balanced by having both forms have their use. The mega's much more of a bulky tank where the base form is a Chlorophyll sweeper.Great points, just want to add in to yours that Mega Stones take away the item slot, which gives all the more reason to make the Mega form either "mandatory" or so useless it's never factored.
Okay, but there's other ways to do that. Gliscor just got Toxic Spikes and it was banned, again. Megas don't make bad Pokemon good. They just essentially give them better stats or a more usable type or ability along with a fresh coat of paint. Regional variants do the same job. Buffing old Pokemon with new moves and expanding move pools also do the same job.Megas made many previously unusable pokemon good again
Yes. They are. The thing about kids nowadays is that they don't play with toys or merch like they used to. They're more into games and screens and consume media at a mile per second. So yes, majority of kids played through Scarlet and Violet and gave it 0 thought ever again until the DLC came out. But yes, Pokemon is one of the few things kids will still buy.Are people really buying merch based off later gen games? I don't think anyone really cares about any Pokemon past gen 3 or 4 because I see more Pikachu and Gen 1 merch than anything else (I did see an overpriced Teddiursa pillow at a con).
They're autistically fixated on not allowing any pokemon have more than three stages in their evolution even when some are super mediocre. Sorry Pidgeot, you're doomed to be permanently outclassed by Fearow because you're already on your last stage. If you're going to give it a Mega, why not just give it a new evolution? Why isn't Mega Pinsir just an evolution of Pinsir? There's nothing stopping it from being so.
They went wild with Applin. They might be breaking that trend. They're autistically fixated on not allowing any pokemon have more than three stages in their evolution even when some are super mediocre. Reminder that they gave Beedrill a Mega evo and Butterfree a Gigantomax form just to totally clip both their wings in Gen 9.They're autistically fixated on not allowing any pokemon have more than three stages in their evolution even when some are super mediocre. Even then they never went past a third stage. They went wild with Applin. They might be breaking that trend.

They still don't want to go back to Unova because the Unova Dex in gen 5 was not taken well when it happened. Never mind that the dex was far better in B2W2, that first impression (and the honestly shit tier starters) lingered for a long time. Its hilarious to me they skipped an entire gen. Seems they wanna forget about it. Or be stupid and claim its so theirs no controversy cuz black and white people

I mean, if there was any gen to pull it in in was Kalos. Switch now has the space and scope to be as massive as the games were suggesting it was.. Good game. thoughts on Lumiose being one giant map for legends a la yakuza/like a dragon
In Japan they are.Are people really buying merch based off later gen games?
i just like the scope that the Legends idea provides in a way the standard games do not.I don't understand where people draw their optimism from for Legends ZA, the games coming out next year and the only thing they were confident enough to show was a title card. Is it cope?
With YT likely.
Funny, in hindsight, how likely it is that the same cats who eat up the modern Pokéslop dished out by Game Freak had the most to say about Gen 5.
I blame whoever decided Eviolite was a good item to add to the series. If you're going to give it a Mega, why not just give it a new evolution? Why isn't Mega Pinsir just an evolution of Pinsir? There's nothing stopping it from being so.
With the state of the franchise today, I hardly think not having their favorite region completely raped beyond recognition can be considered a "felting". Don't worry, the next remaking is coming for Unova so it's only a matter of timeUnovaborts beyond felted. I like Generation 5 well enough, but I've consistently thought it to be overrated even upon release, and gen 5 fans are very fucking obnoxious on any Pokemon site
Eviolite is one of the better decisions Gamefreak made in my opinion. You have no idea how many previously useless pokemon this breathed new life into, I hated how some pokemon were rarely ever seen because they were only a temporary form before their final evolution, might as well be a glorified metapod. With eviolite, at least some of these pokemon have a purpose again, while some(like Chansey or Dusclops) are even better than their final forms in some situationsI blame whoever decided Eviolite was a good item to add to the series.
Yes, they can easily just not add it to a game, but that single item is, imo, likely the reason why they slowed down on giving older Pokémon new evolutions and pivoted to Regional Forms whenever they want to give a Pokemon a new evolution.
I mean, it causes some fully evolved pokemon to be entirely outclassed. Plus, a lot of mons that got cross gen evos are borderline unbalanced with it. I do like it overall but I think it has some issuesEviolite is one of the better decisions Gamefreak made in my opinion
Most final evolutions are still superior, but it does help some edge cases. In many of them, you have to be a hardcore competitive player to even be able to tell if there is a reason to use the pokemon vs just evolving it, and even then it offers probably a slight buff in defenses or speed at the cost of power. Remember, these pokemon are entirely dependent on Eviolite as well so Pokemon with knock off are hard counters to every single one(or ones with thief/trick)I mean, it causes some fully evolved pokemon to be entirely outclassed. I'm talking mostly about Scyther if I'm being honest, and I don't think you'd argue with me that it with eviolite is a bit crackedMost final evolutions are still superior, but it does help some edge cases. It is very balanced, at least by Pokemon standards. It's not a mindless plug-n-play like Lefotvers, Z-Crystals/Gems or Mega Stones, some planning is required for most Pokemon
I never tried it with Eviolite as it has many other options available, but there is indeed some pokemon that are broken with Eviolite. Like I said, they are easily countered so they are definitely not overpowered. Eviolite Chansey or Dusclops will ruin your day if you aren't prepared, however.I'm talking mostly about Scyther if I'm being honest, and I don't think you'd argue with me that it with eviolite is a bit cracked
