I might be the only who actually wants another Fire/Fighting.

Litten is just...kinda disappointing. It better evolve into something cool. Like a giant saber-toothed tiger that's constantly on fire.

I'm disappointed in Litten, just because it reminds me a lot of of Litleo.

Litten will probably be a tiger, since all Fire starters are linked to the Chinese Zodiac (Charizard=Year of the Dragon, Infernape=Year of the Monkey, etc).
It may also be a domestic housecat, in which case I'd be okay with it being Fire/Fighting. The Cat got screwed out of being part of the Zodiac by the Rat, and lots of rodent Pokemon are Normal type. So it would make sense, even if it would be a little disappointing.

Calling Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typlhosion a rat and Fennekin/Braxian/Delphox a Dog is stretching it a bit. They're rodents and canines, but that's it. And note that Charizard is a western dragon. I've heard this theory before, but much like the "Ash is in a coma" theory it spread like aids and now people won't shut up about it. I highly doubt this was intentional, especially in the first few gens where it's long-term future wasn't fully grasped.

• Rowlet will become Grass/Ground (!!!)
  
• Litten will remain a pure Fire type
• Poppilo will become Water/Fighting

Again, nothing official has been announced, but it this might be legit.

So if this is accurate, what are your feelings? I really wanted Poppilo to become Water/Fairy, but Water/Fighting is a great typing, too. I think Litten staying a pure Fire type is lame, they should definitely add the Dark typing or something. And as for Owlet, I dunno how I feel. I thought Grass/Flying was a crappy typing originally.

Water/Fighting is great but Water/Fairy is some god tier stuff. Really pulling for this to be false because I want my dragon-slaying seal.

Grass/Ground is still worrying, but if it has good stats or a good hidden ability the owl is set. 4x weaknesses are not deal breakers, and immunity to grass sleep moves/EQ at least offers chances to switch it in. Just give it some gale-wings level hidden ability.

Pure fire is boring, especially since it will have blaze and be reliant on GF giving it a good hidden ability. We have so many pure fire types already.

Grass/Flying, Fire/Dark and Water/Fairy are what I'm really hoping for.

I would like to say first and foremost I am so hyped for this new generation! Rowlet is my favorite of the starters thus far, and it's a massive tie between the legendaries.

As far as the typing predictions, I won't hold my breath on those being accurate. Especially since it's coming from Tumblr, as I don't consider that a very viable source of information.

However, if those end up do being true, I'm going to be disappointed. I really want to see Litten become part Dark or Poison, and Poppilo really should be part Fairy or even Psychic. I'd be fine with Rowlet's dual-type changing, though I feel like converting from part-flying to part-ground would be odd. Plus it'd force me to get a flyer for the team instead of just using my starter, which is disappointing.

Hopefully over time Nintendo will showcase their evolutions in future videos before the release of the games, like they did with X&Y. I'm horribly curious about what they'll become, and I'd also love to know the types of the box Legendaries.

What I saw showed Rowlet staying Grass/Flying, Litten becoming Fire/Ground, and Popplio becoming Water/Fighting. Someone in the UK apparently did something similar. If it's true, I would be pretty ok with it.

1st and 3rd gen did that with Blastoise and Sceptile respectively. 5th gen only gave Emboar a secondary type. We've has 3 pure Grass starters, 3 pure Water starters, but only 1 pure Fire starter, so I wouldn't be too sad if Litten ends up pure Fire

I'd love if Litten went Fire/Poison mainly 'cause that's a neat (and currently unused, if I recall correctly?) type, but I'd not at all be bothered if it was pure fire.

You're one of the first people I've heard say they're going for Moon. A lot of fans seem to be smitten with the lion-legendary for Sun.

I'll hold off on commentary on the alleged starter types until it's actually confirmed, but I would be a bit bummed if Litten's evolution was just pure Fire. Not enough to pick a different starter, though.

I just found out I accidentally deleted some pokémon I've had since Fire Red, they were brought all the way up to White 2 and once I got the Shiny Dratini I pokébanked it and reset the game. Rest In Pixels. They live! I just found them in my original White, I'm so happy! I couldn't find them the first time I looked because the PC is a gigantic mess, I really should put them in the pokebank so that this doesn't happen again.

Anyway I think I'm going to choose Rowlet, I like Litten too though... which ever one gets the coolest evolution is the one I'm going to get.
