You are, I mean the DLC for both versions of the game and not both parts.Maybe I'm reading your posts wrong, but it's $35 for both parts of the DLC, not separately

(also hard agree on the rest of the post)

Is that so?it was, don't worry
the new being so terrible does not excuse the old being bad either, it's why nobody remembers X&Y fondly despite it being in its prime for zoomer nostalgia atm
okay. Please do not put such images in my brain sir they disturb me greatly
Even BDSP was shitty since it also brought all of D/P's problems with it, like unobtainable trade evolutions since theres no reason to pay a subscription for something that has always been free in previous titles, trading online, and not being able to catch the whole pokedex in game with some effort like you could with Sun/moon, which was peak pokemon and the perfected formula outside of the constant story speedbumps.
Yeah- going off the nostalgia cycle, which is typically about a decade or so after release when all the kids who played it are grown up but still young enough to be consistently obnoxious- XY should've had a surge of appreciation for it right about now, like BW did a few years ago. Instead, the closest i've seen is some ORAS reminiscing, or maybe mild praise for a few of gen 6's side features like the PSS or super training. Almost nothing like the outpouring of love for gen 5.Is that so?
Not really, no. They were kind of noticed in that """community""", but from what i've seen the general consensus is still that they were shit games and their defenders get weird looks. Personally I think they're shit games solely because they came out unfinished (another year or two in the oven would've done wonders, I think), and I think that's the most positive sentiment I've seen outside of astroturfing trolls on /vp/.XY recently got a popularity boost
I think BDSP's GTS opened last year, in mid-March.You mean the GTS still isn't open? That it was just added to the game to be a dead end and then got screwed becausemasochistic manchildrenfans were so flashed about PLA?
It was actually Logan Paul's fault for causing the obscene levels of scalping that happened back in 2020, his videos showing him buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Base Set cards and his general lack of care in terms of researching certain products and cards caused the "investor-aligned" side of the game to balloon to such a point where TPCi (and if the rules and store "lotteries" going on in Japan are any indication, Creatures Inc.) can't print enough cards to meet the demand. There are also rumors of TCGPlayer, one of the bigger second-hand TCG retailers, gaming the system but that's mostly a he-said-she-said sort of thing.I blame cr1tikal. Hes the one who gave them the idea to scalp them en-masse in the first place. The whole point of buying individual cards was to complete a deck you had in mind that someone didn't mind parting with for some beer money. Not to launder insane amounts of money that youtube actually does crack down on as "deceptive business practices" according to some vocal vtrannies.
It's playable but it's still mediocre as heck, I haven't played it since PLA dropped. Is BDSP in a playable state by now? I keep spotting a lot of dirt cheap secondhand copies and have been thinking about snagging one up. But I'm not in the mood for shitloads of bugs and crashes after SV almost bricked my Switch with them.
reminder, people thought this with Zygarde 100%I really do think they’ve hit the bottom of the barrel at this point
well yeah its just diamond and pearl with no platinum content, and somehow glitchy, i'm still they fucked up BDSP.It was actually Logan Paul's fault for causing the obscene levels of scalping that happened back in 2020, his videos showing him buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Base Set cards and his general lack of care in terms of researching certain products and cards caused the "investor-aligned" side of the game to balloon to such a point where TPCi (and if the rules and store "lotteries" going on in Japan are any indication, Creatures Inc.) can't print enough cards to meet the demand. Thankfully TPCi has actually fixed some issues since then but you do have some parts of of the world where it's still hard to find products.

Patches have pretty much fixed the game, but as Archeops said, it's really mediocre. The only thing I genuinely like about the remakes is not only does the E4 get stronger after you beat them the first time, you can make them even stronger a second time by catching Heatran. Max E4 ain't a joke if you aren't packing several level 100's or legendaries. Is BDSP in a playable state by now? I would say "or better yet, Platinum" but we all know what COVID did to the secondhand game marketnever worth 60 bucks tho, grab a ds with vanille dp instead.

Yeah, I was already aware it's really mediocre since it's literally just an uglier, more boring DP but it's comforting to know it at least won't cause my console to self-destruct. I'm mostly just tempted by the cheap deals I see for it sometimes like the woman I am.Patches have pretty much fixed the game, but as Archeops said, it's really mediocre. Like @Anonitolia said, people have been saying that about every pokemon design post gen 5 for the longest. Melodramactic talk and all.Late but I really do think they’ve hit the bottom of the barrel at this point. These designs don’t look appealing on any level.

On the topic of remakes, I don't know what would be funnier to me: If they made the Gen 5 remake just as bad, or if they actually tried to make decent remakes again from now on and BDSP would remain as the odd one out.
Late response, but I'm a bit iffy on that video given that the comments say that some of the links in the description are wrong and that some people are still having issues.Very easy actually. I followed this tutorial and everything went perfectly:
Gamefreak backpedaled hard after gen 5 when it was the closest that series came to a good story.I can even see GF making the Gen 5 remakes intentionally bad, just to try to get people to forget about the original Gen 5 games.
It's not that hard. I'm not the most tech literate and even I manged to jailbreak the 3DS with no issues.Late response, but I'm a bit iffy on that video given that the comments say that some of the links in the description are wrong and that some people are still having issues.
Lol, what are those Yokai Watch monsters doing in a pokemon thread?View attachment 4656625
Late but I really do think they’ve hit the bottom of the barrel at this point. These designs don’t look appealing on any level. I think I prefer when they would attempt to try and give an explanation on how each class has of Pokémon came to be the way they are due to the circumstances of the region they were evolved in. Someone many pages back said that in the Japanese Pokédex’s in some version of the earlier games actually explains how each pokemons properties and designs evolved from the different regions they come from. Does anyone have that particular post or knowledge by any chance?
Either way Happy Pokemon Day kiwis, just remember the good days of the first 4 or five generations and pray we eventually get that Pokémon Colosseum reboot or finally a worthwhile new release. Oh and of course fuck Game Freak and their whole crew.

Happy 27 years!!
Speaking of modding 3DSs, I should really do that for my Yveltal Red 3DS XL ASAP and pick up a New 3DS XL before the month is out. I did manage to pull an Alt Art Lugia V from a Silver Tempest 3-pack blister so selling that would take a big chunk of the cost of one if not pay for it outright.Late response, but I'm a bit iffy on that video given that the comments say that some of the links in the description are wrong and that some people are still having issues.
