Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I did an autistic experiment today: I counted how many threads of each type /vp/ had at the time I took a catalog screenshot. Here are the results
vp experiment june 21st 2024.png
The results aren't exactly what I was expecting. There were a whole lot more good threads than I thought, but majority is still some sort of garbage or something most people aren't interested. Quality of the board is overall very low, as expected, but none of this is very surprising. You could say the same thing about the rest of the site: There may be some diamonds in the rough, but you have to really dig for them.
Anyone else here browse /vp/ occasionally? What was your favorite period of time in the board's history, or favorite event?

Imagine getting filtered by Drifloon.

I know people in this thread see it as the point where the rot really set in, but man do I continue to love the games.
I think the gen 6 games are the beginning of the end and that X and Y are a mediocre unfinished mess. That said, they're still the Pokemon games that I've played the most, even more than HGSS and BW1 which are my favorites in the series.

XY had such forgettable characters that I can't remember a single Elite Four or Gym Leader.
And thanks to all that playtime I can remember most of the side characters, even the bug gym leader's sister and the professor's assistants with superhero alter egos, their theme is actually neat.
But they're not good. I could write an essay on why I find most of them annoying but just as an example, it still amuses me how X and Y tried making Lysandre a twist villain (and made professor Sycamore look like a dumbass for not realizing he was evil).

maybe by forcing you to complete a dungeon with your companion solo.
Gates to Infinity does exactly that. You need to complete a dungeon as your partner to ask your character to come back. You can even say no but it just counts as a defeat.

It wasn't quite like that in SMD, but the true finale was pretty peak.
Super's postgame felt rather weak to me frankly, the game just tried too hard to get me to care about some random Mew I just met and I found it painfully melodramatic.

I already see a faggot that believes getting no game every 1.5 month is a bad thing.

Interestingly, they are also the first that introduced a gimmick transformation and fairy type.
Also I always hated pokemon origins, which was released complementary to the game to introduced mega evolutions.

Noice.

So Niantic decided to fuck with the curve throws in Pokemon Go, making it harder for anyone to catch Pokemon. As usual, Niantic and the tranny CM haven't addressed this, and some people are coping with the idea that this is "a bug."

And how many of those said GO dicksuckers are saying for players that complain about the change, to "GIT GUD" or "LEARN 2 PLAY"?

Not as much as you would think because it caught everyone off guard (You have a few youtube shills and fanboys pretending it's not a thing). Nobody was happy about losing experience or chances at getting legendary Pokemon because Niantic decided to secretly fuck over the players (and Kestral has done next to nothing since the Avatar controversy). Landorus, Charizard, and Yveltal were pain in the asses to catch thanks to the changes.

Apparently Niantic plans to implement the Dynamax and Gigantamax stuff even though we're still missing Galar pokemon (no starters) and even Megas like Mewtwo and Metagross. Pokemon Go is going to be a mess when it gets to Terrestallizing from SV (if we even get there).

I just had a run of Pokémon Y after ~10 years of not playing any Generation VI content, only to then start a new X save. I know people in this thread see it as the point where the rot really set in, but man do I continue to love the games. Through and through a chill experience, just what I needed after busy days at work. If Team Flare and Gym fights were a little less easy, and if E4 had 5 Pokémon in their teams at least, IMO this would fix the difficulty issue.
Rollerskating through Kalos was unironically a really happy time for me.

The fact that game is so relaxed was so nice. And it’s honestly why I feel that in terms of vibe SM perfected what XY did.

Before XY a lot of the Pokemon games never really felt relaxed. Which made XY an honestly welcome change, especially after BW.

That is one thing that XY got right. Zipping around was fun in its own right and some of the camera angles you got while moving past set pieces were great. I distinctly remember skating past a castle across from a waterfront as the sun was setting and I think I caught a Smeargle in the same general area which I had never used before.

I finished the main campaign of Pokémon 1.5.
Honestly, I would hav enjoyed this hack more had the ROM been a lot faster. I already sped up the saving, healing, and even Kurt, bu the movement and grinding slowe down the game quite a bit.
I also found a few more text overflow glitches, but I would rather redownload the repository and fix those bugs anew. Also, I plan on releasing 2 versions: a normal version and a 'fast' version.

Reactions: Big Fish

The Rayquaza elite raid is already a shit show. The tranny cm and Niantic had a big brain idea to use Tik Tok to shill Pokemon Go, but the problem is Tik Tok is getting banned in some countries (Someone posted the codes on the Youtube commentary page to help people out) . They really need to fire their tranny cm because Kestral is incompetent.
