While we're loosely on the topic of fan games and hacks, I feel it's worth linking FusionDex.org for this thread's enjoyment. It's a compilation of Infinite Fusion sprites that has some stats attached and credit for nearly every sprite. Some of this shit is absolutely killer, and the ENORMOUS possible dex (221k+ individual mon) is more than halfway complete with custom sprites by now so you could keep scrolling through it for hours and still find new stuff. Any lack of quality is made up for with sheer quantity, and there's hardly much of the former to begin with.

Would seriously recommend checking out the following mon for some truly cool stuff.

• Any member of the Porygon line
• Jirachi
• Any member of the Clefairy line
• Torterra
• Cofagrigus (and Yamask to a lesser extent)
• Mimikyu
• Any member of the Klink line
• Golurk
• Duskull
• Parasect
• Beldum
• Exeggcute
• Aegislash
• Mawile

Would recommend against Miltank since its sprites involve a lot of "this Pokémon is lactating and really enjoying it" shit that is probably fetishistic, with a bonus warning against Sylveon because the people making these sprites come from places where it's more of a trans icon than it is an actual Pokémon.

Otherwise, it's not really worth looking through the sprites of Pokémon that can't be spun into vessels for broader themes or broken up into easily-replaceable parts. Mon like Dugtrio or Blastoise have obvious spots where you could stick new theming (change Blastoise's cannons, make something other than three moles pop out of Dugtrio's hole), whereas mon like Raticate or Dragonite really can't be fused into anything very interesting. Klink is a dogshit mon on its own, but if you use it as a sort of "ingredient" for any other mon then you get mechanical versions of stuff with Klink theming. Porygon is a computer virus that looks like a low-poly duck, but if you fuse it with something else then it becomes able to take on the form of ALMOST ANYTHING. This tends to get used for a lot of cheap references to memes or other games, because Discord, but there's a lot of genuinely funny stuff in there too and a lot of the sprites were very obviously made with love.

If you really like someone's sprites it's worth looking them up on google/ddg/whathaveyou because a lot of the people contributing to the repository have easily-traceable social media accounts or other places to view their work. I've found quite a few neat pixel artists this way.

/vp/ is exactly what this community deserves. I posted a little overview of their catalog on an average day a little while back, and most of it was just complete and utter garbage: Coom threads, bait threads, shit threads posted by retards and during the "hype" season there is also shilling and guntguarding of daddy Gamefreak. Normal people left, or should have left years ago, this is a franchise for only those who can tolerate the lowest common denominator at this point.

I consider myself something of a purist, and even then I drew the line at SwSh and recently started playing ROMhacks. Pokemon is a franchise filled with amazing potential for community made content and very poorly made official content, at least now, but holy hell is the community full of weirdos and mentally ill. It's best not to get involved with them at all and just enjoy the content,

If this bothers you, then I should warn you against fusing with Snorlax, Machoke, Machamp, and maybe Slaking.
I saw fusions of the firs three frequently in FurAffinity.
I fear any fusions with Gardevoir, Lopunny, or Salazzle, though I feel tha there are at least a few more awesome and wholesome fusions in that mix.

The really annoying part of that game is the sprites only having front versions instead of back versions. That may make way more work, bu the ALTernative feels worse.

After one night of extreme violence, you punch a hole in your wall so deep that it reaches into another dimension. Enter it, and find that you are transported to a world of gambling. Gamble for funds, build a team, and defeat the head rigger so you can purchase your Magic Rocks.

God, the Gen2 beta mons were 10x more cooler than what we got. Farfetch'd Evolution, Octilley looking like an actual tank. a Fire/Water Seel, being able to play as Slowbro's/Sloking's entire shell.

As someone who played SuperGold 97 recently , the romhack that takes what was in the beta and finishes it into a complete game, I can safely say that it felt much more like a proper sequel than the retail GSC. Don't get me wrong, I like those games, but they felt...less connected than they could, sorta like the future titles were each doing their own thing and instead of having one cohesive franchise it is divided into "generations".

The designs are inferior because because the lead behind the first set of Pokemon games gave over control to Matsuda at some point during development, which is when Gold and Silver we know today starting shaping up. I could be wrong on this, but this is what I remember reading. My biggest complaint was the lack of balancing, the infamous leveling curve and some Pokemon being straight up useless. Gen 2 was a mess, for better or for worse the next two gens would be a lot more organized than this and knew what they wanted to improve upon right away.
