Loads. It just is never in the main plot. There was a leaked document where GF employees discussed that they wanted their stories to explore the relationship between humans and Pokemon, but what exploration is happening exactly? Every single game has the exact same theme of "humans and Pokemon can do anything as long as they work together!", it's not an exploration insomuch as it is beating you over the head repeatedly with the same powah of fwendship plot most kids media has.
I believe I’ve said before fans by and large do not pay attention to the story.
I have legit watched people who played through the games at launch play through them again and go ‘wow, how did I miss that’
I’m betting GF knows their audience is by and large retarded and so even if a minority says they want it only a small part of that really does. I assume they have loads of ideas they want to do but have to axe as a result. To say nothing of the fact they are on a deadline.
No. Gen 7 is the bad guy gets obsessed with a jellyfish. It does not end well for her or her family.I'm under the assumption Gen 7 is just one giant tutorial without a story and Gen 8 was a rushed nightmare where trees popping into existence from nowhere was the driving conflict of the narrative.
Gen 8 is another example of ‘what do you mean using the evil world ending Pokemon rashly will end the world?!’ Seriously, if he had just waited a fucking day his issue would have been solved. 8 is so retarded.
