Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

The Original Japanese Red and Green had this as Kadabra's Pokedex entry(Which, along with the other red/green dex entries, were translated officially in FireRed): "It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra."

"Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat"

"Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat"

Remember that this is the very first pokedex entry ever made for it. The original Red and Green had some weird shit in it. Red/Blue over here used the Japanese Blue's dex entries(their third version), even though it used Red and Green's encounter tables and ingame trades. The original paired versions had sprites that made Blue/Our Red and Blue look like masterpieces, and the dex entries made a bunch of references to real world animals and locations(Like Gastly being able to knock out an Indian Elephant with its poison).

Sorry to double post but would anyone like to trade a Zapdos for my Moltres? I didn't know about the legendary birds being limited to what starter you chose and feel bamboozled by it.

I'm up to twenty people rage quitting (I will admit that I presume at least half of them are kids and/or "special", based off of party and moveset choices) in the past week when I wall them with a Sigilyph.

I also have discovered that the Froakie/Charmander lines are literally impossible to give away--I've gotten nearly as many of them in Wonder Trade as I have Flethclings and Flabebes.

This is why I hate wonder trade.

The problem with Gen 1 said:
You have to save everytime you wanted to switch boxes.

I remember this being a problem in Gen 2 as well. I have the painful memory of my 13-year-old self playing Silver and finding a shiny Oddish, and when I tried to catch it I got the "Oops your box is full" message. :'(

I've actually been breeding a lot of Mudkips and giving them out over wonder trade. I've gotten a lot of interesting things. I also give out a lot of Eevees. I make it a point to give out stuff I'd want to receive myself because I mostly only train stuff I get from others because it it cuts down on the time they need trained drastically. My first and currently only level 100 is a Japanese Pangoro.

Also, I still have to thank Venasaur for being amazing and trading me all sorts of cool stuff. If you've got access to all of starters you can pretty much trade them for anything else you want as long as it's reasonable.

Also, a double post, but I have a fun little story to share.

I was a little kid when the original game came out, and I loved it. When Gold/Silver came out, I nearly flipped my shit. Remember all the crazy rumors? Even official gaming magazines were wildly flinging out any half baked idea.

Anyways, my birthday, August 23rd, 2000. Pokemon Gold/Silver was the only thing I wanted. Of course it wasn't released yet.

Well, I did technically get what I wanted. A pre-order slip for Pokemon Gold which, back then, pre-order slips were much more than a receipt of purchase. Anyways I was retarded or something and didn't understand why there were different regional release dates, because the gaming magazines always gave the JP release date. Anyways I was basically like a junkie without his fix and was going fucking crazy. I'd bother my mom every day about it.

Eventually she told me the Japanese populace were intentionally holding off giving the US Pokemon, I don't remember how she convinced me, but I do remember yelling 'THOSE GODDAMN JAPANESE!'. Anyways cue me getting in trouble :ween: I still have probably never been happier as when I actually received it though. Partly because it was awesome, and partly because my brother didn't have w copy and could only look on hopelessly at my enjoyment

Picked up my Y game again, now that I figured out how to get the Shiny Charm in it. Now I just wish people on GTS would ask for Pokemon to trade with that aren't legendaries or impossible to obtain at the level being requested, like a level 11 to 20 Dragonair.

Basically I hate everyone on there and wish my hate could choke them through the internet.

And this is why I haven't traded with random Passerbys yet.

Don't you have to fill the dex completely to get shiny charm?

Yeah, 706 Pokemon, not including Event Pokemon. Shouldn't be too difficult since I do have all of the starters in some shape or form so I can GTS most of the missing entries. I also have White which I still need some legendaries from.

Go into the GTS and offer Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep, Anorith, Amaura, Tyrunt, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott for whatever you want (legendaries excluded); it has never failed me so far, plus it makes other people do the work of searching through the GTS.

Anyone else followed TPP Emerald? They just finished off the E4 and Champion about an hour ago.

Yeah, TPP is kind of my guilty pleasure. Guilty in that I really hate how forced the jokes and moronic some of the fandom is, but at the same time, I find the whole thing fascinating. I don't follow the stream for hours straight, rather, I sort of peek at it once or twice a day depending on how things are. It took them like, over 100 attempts to beat the E4 apparently.

I pop in on TPP every so often and caught the Champion fight. Pretty sweet stuff.

yeah, I caught the champion fight too, FireRed is starting tonight. It's either supposed to take place in an alternate universe or in the future lore-wise. Honestly, the best thing you can do is not force the lore and just go with the flow. Apparently there is a new feature that reads the chat dialougue.

I caught Drake and Wallace. Not gonna lie, I was biting my nails when M4 and Whiscash were squaring off.
