Finally the general public has awakened from the pikanosis.
This amount of hatred towards Game Freak should have happened a LOOOONG time ago.

But no, Pokèmon fans kept defending the diarrhea they were pumping out.

I knew it was a lost cause when i saw people defend Scarlet and Violet, games that run at 20fps, look like dogshit and are glitchier than vanilla Cyberpunk. Pokèmon fans are battered housewifes and deserve to be assfucked by Game Freak.
I actually think ZA is a bit better than SV simply because it's less of a broken mess but hey i guess people are waking up now because this time they even fucked up the designs, the new Mega Evolutions are absolute trash.

Also the metacritic reviews are definitely shills, no way this pile of poop is a 8 or 9, i would consider a 5 to be generous.

You can at least make the argument that Toby is a video game composer. Why the fuck they had Ed Sheeran make the credits song for SV I'll never know.
 
The absolute state of the cards right now. I thought this was just a bit because of the @, but then I saw his other stuff and no, he’s just another fat balding millennial trying to cash in on the state of things. I hate that they’re bringing their kids along now to use as a shield.

I would be considering a 5 to be generous if the game was half its fucking price, the dlc was free and this was not a fucking pokemon game but an indie of some sort.

It happens that 2025 has been one of the best years for videogame releases, so people had multiple examples of games that, in comparison, makes pokeslop look like the liquid diarrhea it is even worse.
With Deltarune and Silksong, we got 2 times Steam crashed this year for indie releases that were long awaited and, in my opinion at least, came to meet up on their impossible expectations.
Then we got Expedition 33, a game that too took time to develop but rapidly came to be as the sole positive contribution fr***hs had to humanity has a species, and not only its most likely gonna win GOTY, it's also half the price of pokeslop itself (50$ vs 70$ + 30$ DLC).

Mainstream hatred toward pokeslop games predates ZA thanks to Scarlet and Violet, and same goes with comparing the newest game to the latest Digimon release too.
The difference there being that this time there were far more warning, both because of prices and also the showcases.

I don't know what's more pathetic between scalpers, who are literal parasites, and adult pokmemon card collectors that loves to open packs on livestream and have the most idiotic reaction whenever they pull the shiny card for them to resell.
I guess Maxmoefoe had a good idea when he decided to stop doing that shit...

None of these fat sacks of shit even play, they’re dumb enough to fall for FOMO and will throw away money when it’s better to just say no. I don’t understand why so many collectors have a problem with saying no to these people and the state of things. You’re not going to get rich off this and if you’re investing then you’re a retarded nigger.

I think Pokémon 25: The Album caused TPC to assume that having a popular artist work on a vocal track could add some variety to the soundtrack and potentially bring more people to the game.

Unfortunately they went with Ed Sheeran, possibly due to TPCi-birthed fuckery, instead of someone good.

And for Legend arceus I was bith already pissed off by gen 4 remakes and uninterested after seeing some footages of it.

I got into pokemon during the golden age on the ds, with bw1, b2w2, HGSS, and platinum.
XY was underwhelming after 4 great games but ORAS was/is still pretty great imo.
I really liked gen 7 when it first came out but it hasn't aged too well. I still think base sun and moon are solid games at least.
I straight up had a mainline hiatus when SwSh came out, and only played the switch games in late 2024, could've lived without the switch games tbh but I might as well checked out HOW bad they were. And boy were they bad or at least mid
SwSh is worse than every game besides the non-platinum sinnoh games, do i even need to explain BDSP? Legends Arceus was pretty good imo, but not the masterpiece some people thought, and all of the good will was washed away with SV. Which was more mid than truly bad imo but definitely had an unacceptable launch.
Haven't played legends ZA yet but it looks pretty bad and I'm predicting it being worse than SV or maybe even Let's Go lmao.

Also I've only emulated the switch games, if I had to pay full price for those slop, I'd be WAY more harsh right now. I guess I'm still playing the new ones to just experience true dumpster fire.
