Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that WolfeyVGC, AKA Wolfe "Mr. Competitive Pokemon" Glicke, has come out as The Raped in a new 30 minute video.

To summarize:
  • Wolfe Glick / WolfeyVGC, the most well known world champion competitive Pokemon player (and probably competitive Pokemon player in general) turned content creator, is announcing that he does not intend to attend future in-person tournaments for at least the next four months due to, among other reasons, fans groping him while posing for pictures (3:30) and tagging Wolfe on twitter with thirst comments about what sex acts they'd like to do with him (19:30).
  • This is very notable as the Pokemon World Championship is an in-person event and Wolfe makes a large edited video telling the story of his experience at this tournament each year.
  • Wolfe is getting off of social media, and instead will be hiring a manager to run his accounts so he doesn't have to interact with horny internet freaks.
  • Wolfe will continue to make non-tournament Pokemon content (e.g. "What is the best X type Pokemon?") and presumably online tournament content in the future even if he never attends an in-person tournament again.
All joking aside, this seems like a very solid response on his end. Here's hoping his changes make for a grope-free career.

I remember seeing a video on a Harmful Opinions stream that had a troon talking about having "a big crush" on Wolfe specifically, and in the past he has named one of the Pokemon he brought to a tournament "Trans Rights". May be shooting a bit too much from the hip, but I think if people start digging they're gonna find a lot of gender non-conformity in the sex pest problem fans he's talking about.

I don't know anybody in this space, but, it's refreshing to hear for fucking once a top dog in a competitive nerdy space wasn't committing the assaults (ofc one would hope 0 could happen). Moreover glad somebody in a position like his is calling out the perverts. Speaking from having seen it in fighting games players listen to good players and hang on their every word. Being good gives you a lot of pull. So, with any luck, this can snowball into ousting the perverts from Wolfe's old space.

One can hope anyway. Fuck the trannies and fags.

Shame, he's actually one of the least degenerately autistic pokemon youtubers. Probably because he just concerns himself with winning, sometimes with novel and interesting strategies. I enjoy his videos.

To be frank the guy literally just plays pokemon competively. He seriously is just a normal guy. He may have some liberal esc views on trans fags but other than that relatively normal. This is a normal man's reaction to being assaulted. Simple as that.
 
All the Pokemon tourneys have been getting tranny infested lately so it's no surprise somone as famous in the scene as Wolfey is getting manhandled. I'm sure we all remember the poor kid who got disqualified at the TGC event because a troon got pissy over pronouns.

Both are a controlled space where troons can channel a competitive nature while still being 'safe'. I'm not surprised Pokemon is dealing with this same problem, Nintendo intentionally attempts to curated parasocial relationships with their diehard consumers.

Yet another one of the countless heads of the Progressive hydra invading popular hobbies to use as proxies to assert control. I imagine there's a lot of cross pollination from more casual and "comfy" Pokemon content genres like Shiny Hunting and Nuzlocke finding their way to Nintendo's official Pokemon competitive format.
 
I'd be happy to see Wolfey pivot to Nuzlocke stuff. The few times he's done it, he seemed really engaged, and it was great content (in my opinion). I think Nuzlocking largely doesn't have the same problems that VGC does (it's a similar pool of autistic weirdos, but it doesn't really lend itself to in-person stuff, and you're never really forced to interact with randoms if you don't want to.)

Really sad that all this happened to Wolfey of all people.

honestly,
removing the breeding system and gym system and such feels weird.
especially the breeding system
since one of the stuff i like to do is randomly breed pokemons and give it away for free in mystery trades
cos making ppl smile seeing they have a Modest Ralts coming in out fo the blue and etc.
its good stuff.
