It just took over 2 freaking decades, but it finally happened, the brainchild of some autistic kid who cheated its way to the success on the gaming world might finally kick the bucket.
When every gaming developer was trying their hardest to unveil the challenges of the third dimension, some small privileged company who was taken by the umbrella of the creators of "bing-bing-wahooo" got a free pass to develop to an almost dead 8 bit system and made some collect-a-thon game which the collectibles were creatures with 2 frames of animation, they made sucess nonetheless, even when they proved to be incompetent hack with their coding, they had almost everything to back-up their asses, ranging from a successful cartoon, legion of fans, spin-offs, fundings and etc.
When every major developer was trying their best with detailed 3d enviroments with their GTAs, Silent Hills and Metal Gears, these hacks just made their jump to 16 bits, and this at the same time Dragon Quest got guts to go full 3D.
When gaming already got a long way with high-tech hardware showcasing works like GTA V and The Witcher 3, these privileged cheaters started developing to PS2 tier hardware.
And when fate finally called to go up against the big boys of gaming industry, they just entered in denial:

The final result?
A broken garbage trying to larp as an open world JRPG with the FOV of a freaking ant.
Of all Nintendo IPs I always saw pokemon as an ever growing parasitical fungus latched on the company's back, it had their fans and success sure, but when the burden grew way too large carry there would be no more practical way to deal with it.
Over 900 autistic looking creatures and not even the company who created all of them wants to deal with it anymore.
The best way now going foward would be letting the IP going into a 10+ year long hiatus and round up a qualified team to re-start again, because as it stands right now I really doubt any sane company would want to take this slave's job of fully animating and programming 1000 unique looking actors into a decadent JRPG system and attract to itself the most autistic fanbase of any kind of media ever.
I think the worst of all, is that this 2 decades on the making trainwreck, inspired dozens of autists to take a jab on the gaming industry giving the birth of this overdone look-a-like indie games

I got a copy out of morbid curiousity and now I’m afraid to actually start it and brick my Switch. On a happier note, my gamestop had a copy of Harvest Moon DS.

40 minutes into the game and my switch started to act strangely. First my joycon started to disconnect and then the switch freezed. I tried soft and hard resetting but the problem won't go away. Here are some of the error's code i got: 2144-0001 / 2107-0445 / 2143-0811
I called the assistence and they told me that i'll have to pay for my repair, does anyone had the same experience? How much can they charge you?

UPDATE: I've been trying all day to start the game and It seems that now it's running. I'll edit the comment if something bad happen
EDIT 1: Sometimes the a button does not work. The Joycon disconnected but this time recconected, the switch didn't crash
EDIT 2: played the game for about 10 minutes. Went to the home screen and tried to conncect to the wifi. The console won't connect. Put to sleep mode but the switch didn't want to turn on again. I shut down manually the console.
EDIT 3: Started again the game, crashed as soon as i was able to move my character. The error code is: 2107-0445
EDIT 4: restarted the system, the game crashed immediately and guess who's back? https://imgur.com/a/wXYDsG0
EDIT 5: Tried to re-download some of my game data's but it seemed impossible to connect to my wifi. While restarting the switch got stuck. How funny, the save files weights 66,6 mb... My game is haunted? Also sometimes some button of my Joycons wont work. I'm losing all my hope, i called the assistance and started a practice...
EDIT 6: Maybe it's not Sw fault, the switch went crazy... I'll send the console to the assistance on Monday, hope it won't cost too much... i just want to play the game

It makes me want to know just how bad a shitshow metroid Prime 4 was before they axed it. I mean Pokemon got released in this state, was the Metroid prime 4 demo nothing but a screen saver and people acting the game out with cardboard props as millions were embezzled?

People have been really quick to blame the crashes on users having hacked firmware, or blaming it on literally everything else under the sun except this shitty buggy trash fire. I have no doubt the switch's OS played some forum in this, However this was a problem Nintendo themselves have circumvented ever since 2017, it barely even shows up anymore and only with updates that add shit to the game does it get fucked. Game Freak however, bizarrely has made it to where they got fucked from even lets go as it wasn't even an issue in that game and on launch day in around 2-3 years to boot. So yeah the exploit is probably due to the OS, but game freak was too fucking dumb to see why not to fuck with that part of the code.

Problem with the OS or not, every other game has somehow mysteriously managed to avoid it for the entire time the console has been out. This is probably some rare corner-case issue interacting with Game Freak's awful code. There's been a bunch of smug "they deserved it did you see what firmware they were running", and the Reddit post throws their rationalization out the window.
