Come to the Shield side, we have Garchomp and Reuniclus!
But, you have Pinsir.

They also have Repede.

Oh, excuse me. Zacian.

I decided to continue my nuzlocke in Emerald today; normally I go for a single badge, but this time I decided to get the next two because I wanted to get this part of the game over with.

Upon arriving in Slateport I ran through the trainers without a sweat, as I did with Team Aqua. After that I headed to Route 110 for my encounter and I got a Gulpin! I named it "Boobage" after @UnsufficentBoobage.

I fought May; thankfully she did not kill any of my Pokémon this time, and that is because Boobage made the fight a breeze. Once that was done I got to Mauville where Wally wanted to fight me, and I obliged.

I could have sent out FuckYou to wallop his Ralts considering the immunity to Psychic, but I took pity on the poor boy. Soon after I trained and engaged Watson in battle; Boobage had Amnesia by this point so it tanked the Voltorb, Electrike, and Magneton, but at that point it did not have enough energy to take on the Manectric AND it was paralyzed.

Rotollo - who by now had evolved into a Breloom - handled it though. Two Mach Punches and it was down!

Considering how much trouble I normally have in that battle: I would say that this attempt was a job well-done. Heading north I continued to slay all the trainers who stood in my way, and eventually I made it to the Fiery Path. @Lapis Lazuli suggested that I catch a Machop and name it "SIGSEGV" which I had to do considering how poorly SIGSEGV the Poochyena performed; luckily it was my encounter for the area.

I put Rotollo into a backup box if I needed him down the road. Eventually I encountered (and dealt with) Team Magma, which allowed me to get to Lavaridge Town for the fight against Flannery. While training for the upcoming battle: Boobage and SIGSEGV evolved.

It was at this point that I had to figure out a strategy for Flannery. Deliberation led to me to start off with KariKamiya as she had the most potential in terms of dishing out damage; she knew Return, was equipped with a Silk Scarf, and her friendship was maxed out. A move with 102 Power combined with STAB and boosted by a held item made her the only logical choice. I could have started with Boobage, but it would have been too weak by the time it got to the Camerupt and Torkoal.

KariKamiya took care of Flannery's Numel and Slugma with no damage; the Camerupt appeared and this is when my luck came into play. Overheat MISSED and it kept trying to use Attract, before pulling off one last move in the form of Tackle (which did a lot of damage).

The Torkoal came in and at this point I had to switch to Boobage, who took a few Overheats thanks to Amnesia and then set it up to sleep with Yawn. At this point I probably should have sent SIGSEGV in and used Low Kick, but I felt like seeing if KariKamiya could do it (for fun). Torkoal used Overheat before the Yawn kicked in and it fell asleep.

KariKamiya proceeded to chip away at the Torkoal, but then there was another dilemma! I needed a Critical Hit to take the Torkoal out without Flannery healing it. In hindsight I should have just switched to SIGSEGV, but my haste convinced me to try Assist and hope for the best.

FuckYou's Night Shade was chosen, and it was just enough to take the Torkoal out. I had won.

Gulpin lowkey underrated.

early Yawn and being bulky enough to fuck with things is nice. I think it even gets recover too.

This was easier than I expected it to be. Honestly the run has gotten a tad boring - excluding the battles with Wattson and Flannery - because I have not lost any Pokémon since Roxanne, but I suppose I should be happy that I am doing well. I think this will be the turning point in terms of the run's difficulty though, because the rest of the Gyms have Pokémon that my team is vulnerable to at this time.
Grinding is easier in Emerald than in Silver, isn't it? It's been ages, but I don't think it's as bad as in Gen II.

Apparently, in February, there's an event going on in Pokemon Go. It's all Kanto all the time, but if you pay for the "special research" ticket, you can get a Shiny Mew. This is kind of notable since the only way to have a legit shiny Mew was if you owned a Japanese Pokemon Emerald and had the Faraway Island event on it. That way you could encounter a Mew and SR until it was shiny. You can transfer this Pokemon Go mew to Pokemon Home and from there to Sword and Shield, so I bet a lot of people will buy in.

2021 is going to be the 25th anniversary for pokemon and 15th anniversary for diamond and pearl, so the remake will most likely come then, that and SMT V and Nocturne remaster for the switch, there's gonna be a lot of monster collecting to be done next year

In Mystery Dungeon, yes.
I decided to continue my nuzlocke today since Norman can be fought right after you beat Flannery.

Did I mention that I evolved SIGSEGV into a Machamp?
