Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Even still, if lucario comes in with an iron type move, it'll end up outsped by both infernape and staraptor, two pretty common team picks that can exploit its steel typing with fire lulz and close combat. Even if lucario starts having steel moves, I'm not saying you can or really even should solo Cynthia with a single fairy type. I would say that if remake garchomp packs a steel move, it's not impossible to TM or egg move a fairy move onto a non-fairy pokemon. adding fairy type adds potentially very useful pokemon as well as a whole nother type you can use when TMing in coverage moves on non-fairy mons. not only can you do that with ice like in the past, you can do the same with fairy now too. It's just more shit to add into the toolkit against that fucking awful garchomp
This is a really long winded way to say 'a properly built team can handle Cynthia easily' to which i think the only real answer is 'no shit, sherlock.' My point was, one more tool in the toolkit does not an easier time make, as it has to replace a different tool in the toolkit and is arguably less appropriate than some other choices (such as Ice, which also handles Bertha).

A massive portion of Sinnoh's areas had very prominent ice-types. Having people use fairy for dragons is actually arguably a buff, as they don't get 4x against Garchomp and are weak to lucario.
Doesn't the main Sinnoh region had, like, four ice type Pokemon? I might be forgetting one or two, but Ice is one of the rarest types in the series.

This prompted me to check it and... it turns out fire wasn't the only type that was overlooked. Huh.

They fixed this in Plat, by adding in the pokemon with sinnoh evolutions (Eevee, Swinub, and Snorunt). So, assuming the plat dex, there's at least 5.

And that's obvs. not counting every water type with ice beam or ice punch, which is... every water type.

Meme aside, they are not going to pass up the chance to shove Eevee in the game at least so Flareon and Glaceon will be options. Possibly Sylveon too depending on the meaning of originally available Pokemon seeing as how Sylveon is the only new evolution they've added since Gen 4. Ruby and Sapphire didn't have Eevee in it, but Emerald, ORAS, and Platinum all did.

As for controversial opinions, I'm hoping they keep the TR/TM system from Sword and Shield. TRs are easy enough to farm, especially with the raid reset glitch, and having 200 teachable moves was great for move diversity. With a limited number of TMs there's no way we get both Waterfall and Liquidation for example, leaving some Pokemon out in the cold.

Does anybody on the forums play Pokemon in the present day? Or if you don't and you did play why and when did you stop?
My favorite pokemon is kabutops

I remember the first giveaway I went to was to get a Shaymin for DPPT at Toys R Us.
I was unfortunately never able to make it to any Toys R Us promotions as the closest one when I was a kid was over 3 hours away. The only Pokémon promotion I was able to do in person was collecting the Ancient Mew and 3 Legendary bird cards from the Pokémon 2000 movie in theaters. I think I still have them all in a binder somewhere too.

I was watching some youtube videos related to pokemon when I saw this pokemon.

Foongus.jpg

And I thought to myself "That's a stupid looking fakemon."

Then I find out it's a real pokemon. Why? Why is Foongus a thing? I know every gen needs Mimic type pokemon, but why this?

Well I never! I'll have you know that foongus is one of the cutest mimic pokemon to come out of the franchise to date.

To answer your question, though, its because every odd numbered generation has a mushroom pokemon and foongus & amoongus was gen 5's.

Better than that abomination of Shiinotic. They did poor Morelull dirty.

How could this adorable thing.

Turn into this horrific K-Mart Toad monster.

Also to allow them to pull the 'fake pokeball' trick in the forests to throw people off.

Honestly, 90% of generation 8's Pokémon look like terrible Fakemon. This just looks like a relatively simple Pokémon, and it's cute.

Plus, I'm pretty sure most of generation 5's pokedex are reskins of generation 1 Pokémon, at least in concept? Foongus is the Voltorb of Unova, just without the explosions.

Mine was the Celebi/Spikey Eared Pichu
Then the most recent one was I think Shiny Giritina at gamestop during BW2. Damn I feel baby. Especially since DP are turning 15 soon (it came out on one of my early birthdays and my grandma gave it to me and that was a railroad. Thanks Grandma Frog)

Honestly I'm kind of excited for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Arceus has always been my favorite Pokemon, and not only is he now the mascot of what I hope saves the franchise, but now he might be obtainable without cheating or events. I don't own a switch, but I might end up pre-ordering the game anyways (cause they sometimes come with like little figures or a poster stuff and that's kinda cool) and then if the game is any good, I'll buy the whole switch, and if the game sucks, I'll just resell the game and get some of my money back. I am disappointed that Chimchar isn't an available starter, but Oshawott is my second favorite, so I'll just choose him I guess.

Foongus is precious and adorable. Its evolution on the other hand...

Personally I think the whole “most gen v Pokemon are reskins of gen 1 Pokemon” thing is a tad overblown. I know a lot of them were intended to be expies of Kanto Pokemon but the only blatant ones are the Klink Line, the two fighting types, Timburr, Roggenrola, and Woobat. In fact a lot of the other expies are archetypes almost every generation uses.

Damn it, I've been reading though the fangame let's plays that kiwis have been doing and that gives me an itch to play one myself, even though my game backlog is as tall as Mt Everest and the last two times I got that itch I played Pokemon Brown and Pokemon Zeta/Omicron(Don't remember which version) only partially and then dropped them. If I do end up giving in I'll probably try Insurgence or Sage since apparently those are some of the better fangames out there.

Have you heard about pokemon Xenoverse? Been getting into it myself and it looks interesting enough.
