Bonus: the "women's interest" stuff in the Washington Post (apprx. 50% troon-related crap) used to be in a separate vertical called The Lily where comments were not allowed. They recently put it all back in the regular paper under a section heading called "Gender and Identity" and brought the comments back. Needless to say, idiots like this poly cartoonist, troons, and woke rhetoric like "pregnant people" always gets roasted to shit. You love to see it.

Then explain jason blaha or alex spartan/alpha destiny. Both famous fitness influencers and pro weightlifters (atleast at some point). Yet also giant losers that suck at dating. Meanwhile a good looking dude with abs can jump on tinder or go to a bar and have a much easier time getting laid despite being a nobody.

I think it's not black or white. Fame can help. Muscles can help. Good looks, power, money, social skills, friends and charm, all of those can help. None of them are guarantees and humans don't work that simple.

Yes some women will be impressed by you if you're famous. No, not every women because some might find you unattractive or boring. And likewise, some women might find you attractive and show interest, even if you're a nobody. Again, it depends on the woman.

i don't know who alex spartan is but jason blaha is literally retarded. i remember him being a meme on 4chans /fit/ board many years ago, the guy has some kind of mental handicap i think, and last i heard of him he was nowhere near "pro weightlifter" and he certainly wasn't a famous influencer either, more like a slightly infamous obscure proto lolcow.
being "famous" the way chris chan is famous (a laughingstock routinely mocked and ridiculed by everyone who knows him) is not high social status, it's the polar opposite.

Incidentally I’ve heard from someone in the rationalist community in Austin that her presence is causing some rifts.

Apparently there was a group within the community that came to the conclusion that society functions best when most people have traditional morality, like monogamy and marriage. Apparently a lot of it was a rules for thee not for me type of mindset, it’s just the plebs are too low IQ to handle things like poly but it’s fine for their elite brains (lmao). Her insistence on continuing to hold and promote orgy parties is what causes this group to split in 2.

Anyone have a theory on what's between the lines here? What was that event that spurred the running away and then cutting off her father, with whom by both her account and his she had previously had an unusually close (but not creepy close) relationship?

I feel like it is pretty clear she was physically abused by her father. The blog she wrote for wanted to keep the discussion centered on religion. She also states on reddit she didn't want to hurt her family who still “supports” her father. That explains why she left it out and claimed it wasn’t “pertinent”. It makes sense for the fear of being beaten again to be the inciting incident that caused her to flee.

It also fits with the somewhat jarring mention of being disciplined with a belt in the blog. Corporal punishment and spanking is considered pretty normal in a lot of Christian spaces and people around them probably assumed she and the other children were disciplined “appropriately “ and not abused (whether hitting your kids is ever justified is something people can debate in another thread, im not going to get into it here). Abuse of this kind would also help explain her 180 degree rejection of her family’s beliefs and her revenge upon them by becoming a literal whore.

it sucks, because regular physical punishment is generally effective and harmless in the long run, but the powers that be have decided to conflate it with sadistic, cruel, violent abuse, so now you can have your children taken away over a literal slap on the wrist.

Where do you live? pretty sure it’s legal in most places in the US as long as you don’t cause injury. I think we can all agree if you’re sending the kid to the hospital that’s abuse.
