10. Margaret Cho and her husband, Al Ridenour, also have an open marriage.
"I just don't want to have sex with the same person my whole life. That's just gross," Margaret said in an interview on The Real.
imagine being married to someone who talks about how gross they find the thought of being with only you
unreal

Pretty sure Will Smith didn't know he was in an 'open marriage' until his wife's boyfriend told him about it. Now to save face he acts like he's cool with it while crying himself to sleep at night.

Sounds like Will ended up marrying a person who wanted different things than him, and now he's stuck with her and is pretending it's fine. Which clearly, from the recent Oscars thing, is a lie.

Hey let's check on reddit!

Good lord.

I don't agree with the framing of that article. They're putting "sleeps in separate beds" and "lives 10 mins from their parents" in the same category as "open marriages". Those first two things are pretty normal and don't qualify as non-traditional imo. If you've ever been with someone with bad sleep apnea or who always steals the covers in their sleep you'd understand that sometimes there is no other way to get a restful sleep than have your own bed.

They want to make openly cheating on your spouse as normal as having separate beds. That's the only reason I can think of.

To be fair, it probably is as normal as separate beds. What kind of freak settles for that?
Someone who has completely different sleeping patterns because of work or personality. Someone who is very sensitive sleeper. Someone who needs get up multiple times a night. Someone who who moves alot during night and might end hitting or kicking their partner.

Basically people need sleep and sharing bed doesn't always go with it. Separate beds doesn't mean separate lives or no sex.
