I disagree in that a step parent is theoretically signing up to carry a good chunk of the burden of raising the child. This is more like mom's boyfriend trying to punish you--fucking my mom doesn't mean you get to punish me. There's no word for that relationship for a good reason.

It's reddit speak for polyamory but with rules. They think if they just set enough parameters around their affairs then nobody will get jealous or have other icky feelings about it, but in practice it mostly boils down to the slutty one who wants to fuck around gaslighting their partner into allowing it.

I had to do the search too.

It reminded me when all my friends nearly died of the vapors over our English student teacher who looked like Edward Scissorhands if he was dying of consumption. It's the terminally ill poet aesthetic and I don't understand why incels think girls only go for chads. In my friend group only I and one other girl were into, y'know, healthy men.

Because most guys tend go mostly for a one type of woman. Don't get me wrong, they find other women perfectly acceptable and sexy, but most guys get most turned on by a normal weight hourglass bodytype in her early twenties. They go for that type because all of those features indicate that she has good change of having multiple successful pregnancies and yours being her first one. There is a reason why most porn mags when they still were around had pretty uniform selection of models.

These guys have a pretty one direction thing going on and so from their own experience they assume that women are the same. They don't notice that there are many not top flashy women and that there are multiple more subtle tops all around the society different that women specialize in.

The female mating strategy is roughly summed by surviving birth and giving offsprings the best change to be successfull. Unlike men they can't just nut and fuck off. Women have to carry the pregnancy and human children aren't exactly functional after birth either. Women have more insentive to think about the future but there are multiple ways to handle the future well. The biggest one being having a man that is devoted and provides for the family. The top man will have everything needed to provide but if all women want the exact same man there is no need for that top man to stick to a one woman or their shared offsprings. So it's better for women not have just one shared type that everyone goes for but spred the intrest out. So multiple different types of men that are still better than other men but that don't have too much pussy after him so he more likely to sticks around and provide.

So to sum up, men and women have different average mating strategies but some men don't see it and assume that women act like men.

his post is correct in that women have less of a hard-wired preference for one body type than men do.
however the conclusion that this means that women have hard-wired preferences for different types is not really true. instead, women simply have a hard-wired preference for high social status, and that overrides most other considerations.

women flocking to high status skinny nerds isn't because they are attracted to skinny nerds, but because they are attracted to high status. and i'm pretty confident that the thousands of dead nerd profiles you mention all have one thing in common as well: low social status, which is why they get zero attention.

My question is, what makes a man high status or low status? My assumption is one or more of looks, money, personality, physical strength, and skills, but I figured I’d ask anyway.

Looks are a completely separate category. Jay Z is ugly but has high social status(literally famous). Wealth is also sort of separate but does have some overlap with social status.

The thing is, you’re wrong. If incels have contributed one thing, it’s their vast collections of research and scientific papers proving that women universally have one type. There is a reason on most dating apps 90% of women compete for the same 5-10% of men - and this is the root cause of the complaints about online dating. Most men get no matches, and women can’t find a man willing to commit.

Now where incels go wrong is in crying about that instead of just accepting it as a fact of life.

social status is popularity, fame, influence, power.
looks, money, personality, physical strength and skills are relevant only if they result in increased social status.

for example, you can train ultra hard in the gym for five to ten years and get mega strong, and women will give absolutely zero fucks about you being strong. but if you manage to then achieve some level of fame as a competitive weightlifter or fitness influencer, then women will start being impressed and care about it.
