My experience with poly IRL is mostly modestly attractive girls using it as a way to lock in multiple betabux orbiters (both male and female surprisingly) with sex, like some kind of unholy amalgamation of crowdfunding and prostitution.
Its strange it was the other way round for me, being it was men doing the cucking, I think my limited experience was very unique however.

From what I saw, "modestly" is generous. Mostly they had slightly bigger tits than average because they were fairly fat, and their faces hadn't yet suffered the ravages of bad diet. Other than that, they tended to be plain at best.

What did the commenters say?

'Why are you in pain? You sound like you might be a bit too controlling for poly.'
'The more rules you have, the more you will get hurt when he breaks them.'
'Whilst having certain commitments is fine, I think expecting him home at a certain time is almost like giving him a curfew.'

I'm also assuming that since most users are American and Americans rarely get a lot of maternity leave, 'going back to work in September' means she has a child that is less than a year old. Why would two people with an infant want to do poly? Aren't babies incredibly stressful?

Does OP have any other posts? Yes!

Hi folks, I'm new to this whole injecting heroin thing and am a little freaked out because I just slumped over after taking a hit and was a useless piece of shit for hours. It felt great at the time but then I got horribly sick afterwards and am worried what this is going to do to me long term.

Response: Hmmm, it sounds like you should probably try some more heroin.

That's every post in /r/polyamory. Keep the posts coming, they're a great lesson in what not to do in a relationship.

its sad because you just know that their relationship will not survive this poly shit (especially when she's already on psych meds to begin with) so those kids will probably be growing up as divorce victims

Whenever I read this type of shit and they talk about kids being in the picture I just get this tremendous feeling of dread and sadness. Yeah it's fun making fun of these speds but when you realize they're so fucking selfish and self-centred to be dragging goddamn children through this... Truly next level degeneracy.

To degree I think the wife was asking too much. He asked extra date time after multiple late nights and he didn’t check his phone consistently but he stopped the date after her panicking call but he took extra time to get home to give his date lift to home. I can see why the wife would find it annoying and/or worrying but outside the poly aspect perfectly normal and reasonable behavior. On the other hand his wife was already in distressed so no need to mention kissing or being otherwise intimate with the date. That’s just asking her to loose it, have little bit of tack man. Maybe this isn’t the right time for poling up the relationship, they already have two small kids and that’s going need extra time management and relationship rearranging.

My experience with it IRL seems to have been noticing that it seems to be meh looking women and weird looking troons. Oh, and creepy manipulative men. Kinda like the BDSM scene, I guess? I'm sure there's been poasts in this thread about how poly is like a weird sex cult, only you get shamed for not being WOKE enough to appreciate that your husband is banging a bunch of other weird looking women (and tranners)

I think I posted earlier in this thread about a friend of mine who got into it, dumped her girlfriend of decades because she wasn't into it, and then started harassing me to go to her poly "pool parties" that were actually low key orgies in hot tubs and trying to set me up with weird unclean looking "kinksters" from her scene. No matter how many times I said no thanks, not interested, already taken, not into that, this is getting weird pls stop, ew dude no...she would not STFU and leave me alone until I just stopped responding to her calls and emails. A mutual friend said it was like having someone from your circle get sucked into Amway or a cult...yep.

Wait, these were lesbians that were having sex?

"egg crack"

as in make someone submit to enough psychological pressure and outright brainwashing to make them think they'll be better off as a girl

the trans and poly threads seem to sort of blend together for me for obvious reasons

Vaspider posts like she's from another planet, she's a personal cow who I've been following on and off for years. ALL of her output is like this, and as far as I can tell it's all sincere.

Autistic social obliviousness is one of the things that can make polyamory (and transness) work. Normies try to imitate this mentality ("my boyfriend isn't openly cheating on me," "she's a woman and her name is Luna," etc.) but their instincts just refuse to cooperate.

I saw a post on here about the strange brew of emotions that women tend to have about trans people in their lives, trans women especially. Can't find it now, but: women coddle trannies out of a mix of fear and pity. They know that this is a man, though they might dismiss this gut knowledge as "internalized transphobia." Specifically, a potentially unstable man who is damaged and vulnerable. A lot of women have HORRIBLE judgement when they see a manlet with a broken wing.

And she's actually on to something--in a queer/poly/kinky/autistic social setting, going out of your way to affirm someone's gender is a really fast way to score social points and show how agreeable you are. Unlike other social skills, the pronoun game is based on easily learned, inflexible rules, which are easy for an autistic person to pick up. Taking someone on a girls' shopping trip for the first time is practically hero work, because of the supposed ~difference~ you've made in their life. It's a deep bond formed with little effort, so, basically, the trans cult in miniature.

@TaimuRadiu double posting is frowned upon but you can always edit instead. Welcome to the Farms, you're here forever.

No matter how you cut it, being upset over your husbands date (and the fact that he isn’t psychic) WHEN YOURE IN A POLY RELATIONSHIP, is pretty exceptional.

Maybe she was one of those poly people who go into it thinking “Aside for some extra fun and sex for me, it’ll be exactly like before!” and then can’t handle it when the partner gets some.

Polyamory is what happens when ugly people just want to be sluts but if they go out and try to get with other people they’re rejected. So they form these degenerate groups so there’s the social pressure and the ease of access.

I’ve never met an attractive person who was into polyamory (unless they were trying to use it as a way to escape a relationship) and I think it’s very telling that the people who participate the the socially stunted, unwashed masses.

I briefly dated a girl who was into these kind of kinks and I bailed as soon as I found out she wanted to be poly. It was a control thing for her. She had the stability and guidance of me but wanted to be in command of a cohort of borderline virgins who she could essentially sexually bully.

Needless to say the relationship did not last long.

She was also sexually abused as a child which should have been my red flag to gtfo.

Overuse of the word 'super' and using conservative Christian approved swear word replacements is pervasive on the SJW side of the internet, and I don't understand why.

This is a bad word borrowing. What they're describing is a normal experience, albeit in an abnormal environment. It's normal to be happy that your friends are happy, even if whatever they're enjoying is something you don't like. Would you coin 'baby compersion' to describe how a childfree person feels when they learn their unhappily infertile friend is finally pregnant? No.

Being happy that your partner is happily fucking someone who isn't you? Nah. Not normal.

edit: Also, I am sure this person is legitimately happy and not lying about it, whereas a lot of poly people are gritting their teeth and pretending they love it when they don't.

In my IRL experience with both scenes, there's alot of overlap between both, and between the behaviors they exhibit. It tends to be very damaged people who previously endured some sort of trauma and abuse. These people are then thrown in with a bunch of predatory fucks (of either sex) who are very skilled in manipulation. It leads to, about 85% of the time, broken hearts, broken minds and broken homes.
