Poly people talk endlessly about how much they love love, they have infinite love, etc. But they use euphemisms to talk around the fact that humans fall in love with one person at a time. Saying "new relationship energy" makes it sound like something you can just wait out. It sounds much better than saying "my partner is in love with someone else."

I wouldn't even call it love. It's infatuation like @AprilRains said. They constantly chase the falling in love feeling. It's like the crazy women who like having babies, but don't actually like kids. They chase the attention of being pregnant, showing off the new baby, and get bored once it starts to develop an actual personality other than "toy". In poly, it's showing off the new "sex toy", but not actually wanting to deal with a whole person.

Apologies if this is late, but, there's an article (archive) that was posted to the subreddit, detailing the "new normal" in the Pacific Northwest.
It's a rather large article, and I skimmed it so maybe I'm missing something, but the most outstanding part to me was that a Mormon family (granted, while historically known for being poly), decided to make their marriage poly. Their marriage had no problems, to my limited knowledge, they have children, been married 16 years, and still decided to make it poly.
I'm sure that I'm missing something from that massive wall of text, but saying that you want your partner to be "happy" with being free and independent is just making an excuse that one, or both of them, were closeted sluts.

"Comperson" as far as I can figure is supposedly an emotion you feel when you see your partner in a happy relationship with someone else. You're happy they're happy.
Because polyamorous people don't get jealous you see. They're so enlightened they feel happy when their partner is with someone who isn't them.

TLDR: The cuck in question has a wife who got knocked up by another man. In an attempt to distract himself from what a failure he and his marriage has become, he goes on Tinder and finds a match. They go to her house, he gives her an intimate massage. She pays him for it.
Not only did his wife get knocked up by the other guy, but like many other poly relationships, he's the only one with a real job so is providing financial support for the new kid. The wife constantly lies about sleeping with the new guy, as well as sleeping with Cuck Prime, going so far as to say the coming baby is definitely the new guy's because she and Cuck Prime don't sleep together, which he says is not true.
How does he know the wife is lying about sex with the new guy? Oh well obviously because he listens in on them and enjoys it:
Despite being much older and having no other kids, the new guy can't offer any money, health insurance or time, but that's okay because Cuck Prime feels like the baby is his and is going to step up and do everything as primary caregiver AND primary financial support. I question what the wife does, since Cuck Prime feels he will be primary care giver, but I think it's safe to assume that she doesn't really do anything, because that's how all these poly clusterfucks seem to operate.
After reading through more of his posts, I realized, like many others, the guy isn't that much of a victim himself; he's apparently a sex addict in recovery who thinks poly is some sort of amazing loophole he's found. Kind of like a recovering alcoholic opening up a brewery I guess. His sponsor is "really questioning this"
Also, notice in the earlier screencaps he says he goes out of his way to respect her privacy, before listening to her phone conversation and in a different post listening to her having sex while rubbing off for half an hour. I just feel bad for the kids in this mess.
