Had nothing better to do than sketch a tree in a cheap "illustration pen" I got from a set at Michaels (a size "0.1").

EDIT: I need to work on my hatching/crosshatching. It just ends up looking like scribbles on the page. The leaves were really just scribbles in several areas since I figured that worked effective enough.

I tried my hand at some color grading in RawTherapee because I'm too much of a cheap ass to get Lightroom.

I ended up cropping the original photo twice; once to get rid of the unnecessary bits, and again because the highlights in the window next to the door were too clipped to be salvageable.

It's from about a year ago, and I still haven't improved as much as I want to, but I mean, at least I'm trying and learning along the way, that's what matters.
