It's really weird too because my computer is running the game, with only Motion blur turned off as the main graphics setting i've tweaked, at a stable 100 fps. The game runs fine for me, which is wild because the last few RE Engine games i've played, Monster Hunter Wilds and Dragons Dogma 2 ran like hot ass on release.
From what I understood it's not about running badly. The problem is that on Linux if you switch Proton versions or you tweak settings like DLSS Denuvo sees it as a different machine. This causes problems because of the Denuvo's five machine activation limit and Linux users are hitting that limit while trying to tweak their settings.

what the fuck?
Kids are cute(no chomo) and often times in games they aren't presented or they're not real characters(kids in Skyrim/kids as environmental props) . The adoptive guardian trope has been pretty big for the past decade or so and this is the first game(In my recent memory) with a child in the 4-9 range instead of Fetus/infant(Death Stranding) or opinionated teenager(Last of Us, God of War).
People experience something from a medium and they want it in their life. People who play a lot of Stardew Valley naively think about owning a farm ,etc.

what the fuck?
A lot of people, especially dudes who never thought about having kids, are seeing this child robot and going "I want a kid now." Someone on twitter said it best, this might be another Japanese psyop to get their population to fuck and make kids.

It also helps that Diana is a pretty good character. She acts like a kid but then there are moments where she acts like a robot and you're disturbed by it a bit

The hacking as a gameplay mechanic just works, it doesn't feel awkward at all.
I'm on the fence with it. As a mechanic it's well-done, but some fights with multiple enemies make it feel like it should have a short time dilation to give an extra second or two reading the grid before having to shoot/dodge and hack simultaneously in real-time (particularly with how limited your ammo is and the need to accurately place shots). Might just be me being a scrub though.

there is an item you can get pretty early on that lets you hack one enemy and the effect of the hack spreads to nearby enemies, which is super helpful. they take 10 percent reduced damage from you but that doesn't matter all that much.

Oh yeah it's perks like this which make me like the system given the design, I'm just a slow ass and bad shot with the weak spots half the time

i actually meant what he said:

good to know but it's not outside the realm of possibility of it being pure shitpost especially with the whole japan low bithrate thing, lol.

Are you really surprised an anime avatar is playing dumb?

You know what the deal is, I know what the deal is, the faggot anime avatar knows what the deal is.
Right now, we're just pretending nobody farted in the elevator.
Lets see how it plays out.

Ah being called a pedo for the anime avatar, got it. I thought you were confused and asking how poisoned the well was by things like woke nonsense.

I've seen what Capcom is doing and I said the well is poisoned.
You'd be better off addressing the elephant in the room, but I see you want to play stupid games, like a disingenuous toad.

Oh boy thread #10,000,000 000 that devolves into unreadable garbage because people can't stop sperging over lolicon and pedophiles.

People are stupid.

The game is pretty fun so far, I have to sadly work soon so I can't keep playing it. The story isn't really anything to write home about though, generic get off the station taken over by AI kinda thing. The gameplay is solid though, and I'm enjoying Hugh and Diana's interactions and characterization so far.

Is it that weird? Games like this and for example, Last of Us awoken maternal instincts in people and is a safe way to "raise" a child without putting in any effort or risk. Its like having animals instead of kids.
We've become so degenerate as a people that a lot of people have deluded themselves into thinking they're happy without children or family in general, and games like this or games that have strong father or mother figures can bring people to the realization that they're miserable.

Sorry chuddy it's all about being an "economic unit" now. Humanity? Love? Intimacy? Never heard of it.

Now if you'll excuse me it's time to eat the bug paste and head to my 12 hour shift at the microplastics factory, can't be late or Mr Shekelstein will dock my pay.

Sneed.
