Reading this thread has been a pleasant surprise. I was expecting to find discussion about some stupid video game but instead I found a philosophical explanation of the meaning of fatherhood from an unmarried, childless guy, along with a moral panic about pedophilia. This is the kind of high-quality content you can only get on KF.

I still wouldn't say that the majority audience are lolicons or even pedos, could be a lot of broken looser men that can never have a kid due to feminism. Or all the female streamers going into ovary overdrive at it.

You know it in your heart of hearts, that if the kid looked like the above, but had the same gameplay and everything else, there wouldn't be so many of these freaks flocking to it.

I think the funniest part of the discourse is it entirely ignores the other AI Pragmata that exist because the doctor was trying to save his daughter so he created AI bots to simulate / cure a disease his daughter had.

Plot definitely takes strong influence from Akira as well.

From pure osmosis and Null's post, discovering the real Diana and having a choice between saving the real girl who you've never met vs her AI copy would've been an interesting decision to make as a player. It'd be similar to the RE7 choice between Ethan's Wife and the Baker girl who helped you throughout the game (though it was a non-choice because the game instantly ends afterwards, I went for the Baker girl on my first go through because we interact with her more).
Or you could go pure feels and have the AI Diana arrive at the choice by herself, sacrificing herself/itself in order to save the real one or something.

Problem is basically the corporation the doctor worked for essentially was tasked with 'sourcing' similar test subject to the daughter and ended up sourcing the daughter for the testing which killed her. Doctor finds out. He dies sad in grief.

I don't know what the intent is for two games in a row by Capcom deciding to make the little girls look the way the look, but it just opens to the door to pedos. It's a conscious decision they're making and it looks bad to anyone who has become sensitive to looking for this sorta shit.
