Their personal investment should be that they enjoy this site, and would not be able to enjoy it if it were gone.
If KF were gone tomorrow, I would hope its replacment would be just as Tor-friendly, as so few sites are these days... Fuck cloudflare.
That being said, the big problem with any site disappearing, is that not all the users know where the replacement is or how to find it, unless there is a large percentage of user crossover on another site where they can share the new link. That's why the loss of any *chan site typically cuts the userbase to its replacement by more than half; the old users simply don't know the replacement even exists.. Every community such as ours should have an agreed-upon rally point "if this site ever goes down, go to X for status messages and/or instructions." Preferably self-hosted by the site's owner, on Tor and I2P.
