Principles of the Kiwi Farms

I mean, it can be infuriating watching lazy scumbags earn more in a week than I earn in a year by working hard.

On the other hand, I’m not a miserable soybag slowly dying inside, so I guess it evens out. And I’m not the kind of faggot who feels the need to spoil everyone’s fun.

Also, thank you Null for all you do for us, and for being patient with everyone, even though there‘s been plenty of times when you would have been fully justified shutting this thing down for good.

Their personal investment should be that they enjoy this site, and would not be able to enjoy it if it were gone.

If KF were gone tomorrow, I would hope its replacment would be just as Tor-friendly, as so few sites are these days... Fuck cloudflare.

That being said, the big problem with any site disappearing, is that not all the users know where the replacement is or how to find it, unless there is a large percentage of user crossover on another site where they can share the new link. That's why the loss of any *chan site typically cuts the userbase to its replacement by more than half; the old users simply don't know the replacement even exists.. Every community such as ours should have an agreed-upon rally point "if this site ever goes down, go to X for status messages and/or instructions." Preferably self-hosted by the site's owner, on Tor and I2P.
No one wants anything they frequently interact with to die. But it is not necessarily a bad thing. The larger Kiwifarms grows (and the more profitable it becomes and the more Null becomes invested in its profitability,) the most tame and boring it will become. The same thing happened to 4chan. If you want a glimpse of what Kiwifarms would be like without the "Don't touch the lolcow" moderation stance, take a look at onaforums and the daily hilarious shit they generate. And that community is a tiny fraction of the size of this place. The reason they can do that is the host is independently wealthy and doesn't rely on monetizing the site.

For as long as Kiwifarms exists there will be a tension between the conditions that make it a source of amusement for the users, and the conditions that make it a viable career for Null.

Thanks Josh, have this pic of a weinerdog I found

And as always someone comes along to validate everything I've said.
How exactly does my shitpost validate anything you said that I clearly couldn't give a shit about. You're responding to random replies on a thread trying to get people to lighten the fuck up with nothing and trying to inject yourself back into whatever little discourse there is like you have anything new to add.

I honestly didn't see myself coming back to this thread but I was kicked off the Luna thread for fake thirstposting (super obvious) and my last post in this thread has been referred to more than once for some reason so I feel like I would be acting in bad faith to not share an honest opinion. My opinion is thus, people here just really need to calm the fuck down and stop contributing bullshit to other bullshit. I came here a year or two ago and I've been fascinated to see how much stuff has escalated in the lolcow sphere since then, but that kind of drama and negativity that you seem to ingest ok a daily basis is mirrored very clearly on the many separate userbases that make up specific lolcow fandoms. Its an effective smokescreen for anyone on the outside looking in, but the number of unhinged and obsessive users is steadily growing and I can't help but blame people like Wormy (sorry, you're probably fine) chain replying to people not talking to him.
Edit: nah sorry, you sound like an idiot

If a bunch of trannies and morons keep fucking with the site then it only seems fair to some people to fuck with their shit. That's just how some people will react. And I'm not against a little vigilante justice, go out and punch how many pedos and animal abusers you want to, I will not talk anyone out of doing that but you better record it and upload it.

Despite account age ive lurked since around the IBS era. Newfags forget what board and forum culture is... lurk first/ lurk more
Genuinely, ~99% of the times I've gotten in trouble have been due to lack of basic research beforehand
