Didn't slashdot or Reddit try some sort of gay obfuscation of user karma back in the day? Or was it just The_Donald?

The DM situation was whatever, the uninvited chains were spammy. But sticker scores were a fair way to judge user interaction.

And if we're going to lose the notification function, why not have the bell icon link straight to the reactions received page?

I get that this is a spiteful response to a bunch of retards crying to daddy Null over the reports system, but man, this was an overcorrection. Is it not simpler to:

- Receive dumb report about user A from user B
- Resolve report and call user B a huge faggot (and let off some steam in the process)
- Ban user B from reports system and add user A to user B's ignore list
- (Optional) prevent user B from fucking with his ignore list at the Xenforo level

Catler won, and I fucking hate that guy.

I will starve myself in protest and post dogshit minion gifs on every subsequent post until Null finally opens his eyes on the mistakes he's made so far. This is something I've considered for hours and I've finally come to terms with my mortality. I hope you guys can forgive me and the cancer I'll be spreading but this is something I have to do.

I just got a trash can for simply saying if we can self-mod we should do it and not involve Null. I laughed my ass off, but also was like lol? I've never reported anyone for shit. I don't believe in it, tbh. I just don't get all this Catler drama and sorry about it to some extent. Not sorry that me and 0 2 ran a pedo off, just whatever this collateral damage is.

Look, Im all for taking away my sticker score, but instant notifications for stickers are much easier for forum engagement than actively following threads you only have a passing interest in.

That’s a good point. I find this particularly true with main page threads, as usually I don’t know where they’re filed so they’re hard to reopen without losing my place.

Even so, it’s still my contention that the engagement it drives skews towards negative engagement. But maybe that’s just me, and again I already disabled this for myself so IDGAF about whether you have access to it.

As an aside, if Null will not reinstate the feature, the function you described could also be served by a list such as recent threads which could might be based on either commenting, viewing, or reacting to content in a thread. Or perhaps a notification that you’re received a reaction without disclosing the nature of the reaction.
