ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

I did MD2H either five or six times, and I got Kromer every single time. The midboss was usually different aside from getting Fairy Longlegs twice. I used pretty much the same team every time, and the exact same starting team every time.
Another option is that maybe it's related to resource generation. Since I remember barely having any wrath this time and Kromer is weak to wrath.

Btw, what is the best course of action against Bull? Last time was just breaking the head and hoping it would die before I would.

Don't think so, because I always end up having nothing but wrath, since I run the Liu 99 fire stacks meme team with R Heath and W Don.

All these W corp IDs make me wonder if we'll have another Love Town adventure in the future.

Project Moon has posted the kits for W Hong Lu and W Ryoshu.
IDWongler.jpeg
Wong Lu is surprisingly a support Unit, he has been missing one of those, but I didn't really expect Mr "Damage goes Burr" to get one. He Gains Charge at a respectable rate, of note is that his Skill 2 doesn't consume Charge, we don't know what the X value on Charge barrier is, but assuming a threshold of 5 on his Skill 2 the breakpoints would be 5, 10, 15, 20.

His skill 3 feels a bit lacking coin effect wise, but giving Shield and Charge to allies on an all Charge or W Corp team is nice. His Skill colors are interesting, providing the Pride for D Shredder, Screwloose Wallop, and Pursance, the small bit of Wrath needed by the Telepole EGOs, Ryoshu's base, and Red Eyes(Open), His skill 3 won't be as useful since Red Eyes Closed, and D Shredder would also need 1~2 other sources of Gluttony the W team can't provide.

IDWyoushu.jpeg
W Ryoshu is unsurprisingly a murder machine made to synergize with the other W corp 000s, she gains charge at a good rate, has Plus Power on her skill 2, Plus damage on a three coin Skill 1, Inflicts Slash Fragility on the first Coin of her Skill 2, and has a combination of Rip Space and I Can Cook Anything for her Skill 3.

Unless they totally shit can the power on either of her skill 1 & 2, I can easily she her being up there in S Tier, although Charge Barrier feels kind of tacked onto her as a second thought, but a little extra beefiness never hurt anybody.

Her colors are also great, providing Lust for Fluid Sack, Telepole and Capote Red Eyes, Pride for Pursance, Screw loose, and 4th Match, and Envy for every good EGO the W Corp IDs have. Also Charge on kill for Lust(since defense skills share their color with passives) is really good with that extra damage on her Skill 1 and can help her spam D.D.E.D.R, "Deader" if it's activated through collection not resonance.

Edit:

Also it's funny we're getting another ID of Olga and that Molar Twink, presumably this Outis and Yi Sang are their Runia versions, meaning they might be Outis' and Yi Sang's World of W Corp IDs. I'm hoping for Love Town Heathcliff and other non-corps affiliated Sinners from World of W and N corp in the future since we got so many for World of K corp.

Well, Watson's out due to harassment from the fandom, and apparently it's our fault.

Hello everyone, this is Watson. I’m specifically writing this for those who are already aware of my existence so I will be omitting any lengthy self-introductions.

I have decided to step down from my current position at Project Moon—and at the time of posting this message around—that process should now be complete.

Please understand that this is NOT an official statement intended to represent Project Moon or fling accusations at any particular individual. I am writing this to share my perspective and to fulfill the sense of duty I currently hold as someone who has/had been in this community in some shape, form, or other manifestation for many years now.

Part of the reason why I want to write something like this is to finally have a chance to stand up for myself. I’m sure that most people have realized from some recent events that certain policies and situations required an understandably extreme limiting of my online presence in order to help protect others’ livelihoods. This circumstance is one of the things that brought me the most inner turmoil: to watch as people take scraps of a whole picture and extrapolate ideas about me that I am unable to refute, argue, clarify, or defend myself from—that I must erase my presence and step back until I can finally come forward again. I am eternally grateful to the friends and acquaintances who are familiar with me and stood up for me when I was limited in the ability to do so myself.

I am sorry that the current strength and wisdom I possess are insufficient to confront and continue working in my position. I loved this job and was willing to give up so much for it, but I can no longer handle the stressors, impacts on my health, and sacrifices I need to make to continue.

One of the things that brought me to this tipping-point decision was working on Chapter 3.5. I had to work on a laptop in a hotel room from 11 PM to 8 AM the same day I drove 200+ miles with my mother (while already sleep-deprived) to visit my grandfather who was recently diagnosed with cancer. This is something that really wore me down and I am thankful that my grandfather and other family members understood that I needed to prioritize work before being able to spend quality time together.
Please understand that this comment is not a criticism of the workload I had. It was an event that cannot be planned around; it simply held a mirror up to show that I needed to reconsider seriously what I was doing with my life.

Furthermore, I have been subjected to several months’ worth of cyberstalking on every possible avenue of social media and otherwise; I have had to witness people slur my name with every colorful idea under the sun; I have even had to deal with the occasional harassment of people I hold dear. I worry that the current circumstances could eventually lead to my close friends or parents being subjected to undue real-life confrontations or potentially physical violence.

I no longer want to be suffocated by the difficult decisions and circumstances I am placed in, either by life itself or by various individuals. I am at the point where I feel I need to make these changes in my life in order to become a happier and more well-rounded person.

I am also thankful that my coworkers and superiors were understanding of my position. I am glad that, when certain aspects of our translation work were called into question by fans out of (hopefully) well-intentioned concern that Project Moon’s story and characters were being wrongly represented for possible mistakes or bad decisions, they took the time to ask us to provide our reasons for the choices we made. I was never the final point of the workflow, and I had the trust that I would be alerted if there was any translation decision they disliked or found issues with each time they reviewed and playtested our files. I have faith that the text and writing styles currently used in the English version of the game are found to be primarily acceptable by the creators of the original and the general community, and if not, that someone will then make the necessary revisions in the future.

I am saddened that in leaving I give up the chance to properly meet face-to-face with Project Moon, to express to them upfront how much pleasure and wonder their works have brought me, and to walk side-by-side with them as they continue to learn and grow as individuals, as artists, and as a company. It makes plunge a metaphorical teardrop on the page for me that I am leaving a position in which I can express the many pulchritudes and idiosyncrasies of language.

I wish the best for the individuals at Project Moon, and that my former coworkers and whoever joins them in the future do not have to experience the same struggles and “drama” that I have gone through. I hope that the community can grow and that everyone can become capable of embodying the ideals of human sympathy that glimmer in even the darkest corners of their games’ settings.

Even to those for whom I carry chips on my shoulder:
Thank you all for an interesting 4-or-so years!
— Watson

Now, Kalamas, don't go by reports, by legends, by traditions, by scripture, by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought, 'This contemplative is our teacher.' When you know for yourselves that, 'These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to welfare & to happiness' — then you should enter & remain in them.

I can't imagine the amount of butthurt some has to be about the farms that even the games subforum, one of thr tamest here, can make someone seeth. But hey the amount of shitposts from /lcg/ has been great, and seeing tourists getting mad after being called trannys is the cherry on top.

Valenwower is right, I am in fact ecstatic.
It seems drama has begun to spread in the PM fan community.

A video regarding Limbus' English translation was posted recently by one of the Korean fanbase's big creators. It has English subtitles too, by the way.
The video points out numerous mistakes and mistranslation left by the translators, or more specifically, Watson, the editor.
Some Korean message boards are even talking about it, such as this one:
https://gall.dcinside.com/mgallery/board/view/?id=lobotomycorporation&no=1304379&page=1
The situation is on-going, but hopefully it'll end with PM getting the translators they deserve.

New fear, Watson starts projecting on characters as gay/trans
Trannies are irl distortions, Carmen btfo, Ayin cant stop winning.

Is Watson the reason why all the threadspinning stories all say "child" in them?
Yes. NEET handles the KR to EN and Watson decides on how to translate the cultural differences across. So it’s his fault we get stolen translations and hyper exaggerations of characters. Him acting like PM put a gun to his head to shove in Gen Z memes is so stupid. And keep in mind he only covered his Limbus antics, and not any of his previous actions including said stolen translations, or any of the work done in Ruina.

Watson: You’re the one who wrote them up and hit send, the only one to blame would be you and NEET. If PM approved and you knew the translations weren’t up to par, yet you never bothered pushing back, that’s still on you.

People don’t bash LC’s re-translation as much as because was a fan translation made official. Ruina, The Distortion Detective, Wonderlab, Leviathan, and Limbus: they’re all official translations coming from the “source”. We’re allowed to be critical over those as they (the translations) are a product PM has paid for. If you can’t tolerate that people will hold you to a higher standard, you really shouldn’t be going professional (as in, receiving money for the work).

IKR? Apparently we’re part of the insanely small group that was doxing Watson and I never even knew. Guess my Kiwi-chan-sponsored mobility scooter got lost in the mail *sigh*

There’s still some scragglers whining that the Outis login event is a coverup for the drama… even though it’s been on the roadmap for quite some time now, and they’re getting deliciously clowned on as a result. Of course: it’s EN.
Well, here's hoping that PM hires someone better suited for the job.
Haven’t looked too deeply into it, but the team that finished off the Leviathan translations seemed decent.

Though, if they spazzed out and went full PM hate mode as a result of all this drama, I’m blissfully unaware.

I like that Kiwifarms has managed to pass 4Chan in Total Tranny Death to the point we're being blamed on drama surrounding a game barely anyone talks about, and a cursory glance at the site would show no one here actively speaking about anyone involved beyond runours.

Never thought the farms would have a cross-over episode with my fun bus-riding simulator.
What a wonderful life.

I did some digging and found a document that I think is what all the defenders are claiming was the cyberstalking one. Though giving it a read through, it seems the doxing wasn’t even intended as the OP just happened to take an archive of Watson’s Twitter which happened to have a pic of his house. (Supposedly, it was just to show that Watson had a stereotypical Twitter addiction. It’s since been removed.)

Plus, the document wasn’t even about how evil or bad Watson was. It was about the translation itself, which… yes, Watson did it, but there’s a difference between insulting the Mona Lisa and insulting Da Vinci, isn’t there?

Here’s an archive of the document. Using an archive link since OP’s considering deleting it over people blaming him for Watson quitting. If OP sees this: it’s a valid chunk of criticism, don’t let some terminally online morons stop you from having basic reading comprehension. But don’t bother getting too invested in this fandom either because they’ve shown time and time again they’ll do whatever it takes to block out any critical comments about the Big Names™ in the community.

I’m pretty sure a good chunk of the EN artists in the fandom stalk the SJW art thread. I’ve posted Jona and Maxwell before in there and they noticed pretty much immediately, so either they were combing through it obsessively or their cult keeps tabs on it.

Yeah, at most we talked about the controversy regarding that one artist and how Korean feminism is way different from the west. Other than that we have mostly been talking about updates to the game and the IDs for the funny bus game. I'll never understand why people just refuse to enter the thread and check if what they are claiming is true.

Finally got against the wolf boss in Mirror Dungeon. Honestly so far the only thing that was harder than the bull was the first floor boss of crusaders, that is so not worth the bother I just restarted.
