Huh, I was wondering why the supposedly awesome Afterglow mod had 0 news as of late. Lost interest in the modding scene beyond NEET vs Macrosis and didn’t realise it had exploded.

Safe to say, we were fucking baffled. So we asked around for information on what actually happened. Turns out, MaBoi posted a meme using a custom page art some Pixiv artist made, and so he linked the source of that image. Incidentally, that image belongs to the same Pixiv gallery as a lewd, not even 18+ picture of Pameli and Pamela (who’s canonically over 18, mind you).

That’s fucking it. That’s all it took for them to accuse a random guy for sending literal child porn, and announce it to the world. It shows that these people does not hesitate to accuse someone of the most heinous shit to virtue signal. This is why the Igugf situation is so telling. He sent a Franch meme > he’s racist. I have nothing but contempt for these people.

Also, here’s a bonus meme from the Reddit server. The guy replying is a moderator. Take this however you will. Nothing’s worse than tone-deaf, overzealous moderators who will label you with the worst labels for literally nothing with no remorse.

MaBoi’s a weirdo and I wouldn’t ever speak positive of him from my experiences, but indeed the Pameli/Pamela thing’s retarde.d as hell when I’ve seen bigger (but not Jonawell big) Western artists with “artstyles” that turn everyone into loli/shotas through the power of anatomical errors posting hardcore porn of said abominations. Though I’d also chalk up half the moral superiority to Reddit server having banned NSFW.

Huh, I asked Macrosis about it and he said he never recalled arguing with NEET about anything. In fact, a while back, Macrosis made a rant dissecting why the Invitation Maker is bad on Chocofuru’s Discord, and NEET was in total agreement. He even sent the rant directly to PM’s staff, to which their only reply was this:

Wao. It was in both the Reddit and the Wiki server. The messages are still up re Wiki. Macrosis was suggesting some stuff in the modding channel and NEET was doing his usual passive-aggressive “maybe you should :) :roland emote:” shit, then after shutting Macrosis down he proceeded to suggest the very same things Macrosis was asking about… I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen them anyone (who wasn’t Watson) interact with NEET and wasn’t getting holier art thou :roland:’d for the entire convo ever since Retranslate, and especially so after the 9/11 Death Threats exposure thread.

They both do translation. NEET’s main job from what I saw of LC Retranslate is translating from KR to EN and explaining the language specific nuances (eg idioms) while Watson finds a way to put it in coherent English and find appropriate substitutes for the nuances.

Gossiping: Who do you guys think is more responsible for the sudden turn to SJWism in current content vs Retranslate? I feel that it’s Watson; I know NEET follows Jona and interacts with her content, but Watson’s also a furry. You saw how reddit jannie furfag treated Igugf.

TBH he has a long history in the reddit server as a rule 5 breaker (Dont talk about NSFW or any suggestive content)
As there was a rp section still in the server he wanted to ERP in there and sayed the rules dont apply in the rp section of the server omfg

He posted a Hod ear sex Ai dungeon story in a fucking channel of the reddit server

And about the last one with the Pameli or how they where called it was a shitshow + Some friends of him maked a fucking doc for him why is correct to post that and the mods are "overeacting after his 7 time getting modlogged for rule 5"

Definitely Watson. NEET doesn’t seem too bad discounting the fact that he took Mimi’s side when she went full schizo, and the fact that he literally cannot shut off the faux passive aggressiveness filter that confuses everybody. Generally, his interests does align with the fandom, and he actually calls out PM for their bullshit. Given that Macrosis said that him and NEET are amicable, I’m pretty sure the incidents you mentioned are sarcasm or sth, idk.

Breaking the mask caused her self-perception to break too, which led to her body cracking like glass
This chapter is kinda confusing, kinda interesting in general.

I'm kinda burnt out but
I would assume some sort of location-based Distortion like the Laundromat Moses encounters? Whatever it is, it's part of Iori's Big Brain Plan so we're probably gonna see a lot more about it.
Also, why did Pablo mention the Musicians of Bremen? I even backread and still had no clue what's going on.

I find it's a mix of:
1. The slow upload schedule, but I can excuse that considering Wonderlab turned out horrid (amidst all things...) due to the rush + apparently the delay was "the artist falling ill".
2. CKC's choice of "everything HAS to be vague!" with the postLC translations causing either confusion or making it feel flat when you gloss over the prose.
3. Way too much of the comic per week is dedicated to body-horror, gore, and/or destruction. Vergil doesn't speak much or for too long, Garnet is mostly over-optimistic generic speech/"LAPISSSS", and the other fixers are just comic relief.

When it comes to my growing "meh" feelings towards the comic. Sure, nice art. It's not SJW hell. We beat Wonderlab in that measure. But I rather go reread the discontinued Distortion Detective because it actually let us feel the characters beyond "brooding/I'm {not} okay/eccentric/enemy-into-ally-into-punching-bag" and I didn't need to go into the CKC server to find out what the fuck it's about.

At this rate, do you guys think you'd continue reading the comic? I might end up forgetting a release soon and end up dropping it entirely until someone reminds me of its existence.

I'll continue reading, it is only the start of the comic, so it's still building its identity. Not to mention, I like lore, so as long as it gives new and interesting facts about this world, I would have little reason to stop. But, I can also understand were you are coming from. Hopefully, the comic won't just fizzle out slowly because of its kind of bland characters.

I had no idea it was released, the twitter account didn't even advertise it! Either way, did you know that, apparently, the reason it was delayed was because of that nonsense word?
It becomes more believable when I see it, but it makes me wonder why would they start translating so late into the release schedule. It's entirely possible it's PM's fault, having the author make the comic at around the same time they would start releasing them, so there's no time for translating anything. Or CKC's just being lazy again, it's annoying that we never really know what's going on behind the scenes.

My thoughts on the chapter are nothing much, it's still pretty vague why they're doing that, or how it's meant to function exactly. But, I'm interested much more now that we have an actual villain to fight.

I'm 100% sure it's just CKC fucking around, considering the speed at which JP translate comes out in comparison to EN.

The... nonsense word? With how little respect CKC pays the source material unless it's Mimi's shit I'm completely ready to believe it's just an excuse.

I'm with you on the post-chapter thoughts. It just feels empty. I'm thinking that whatever multi-eye lady is doing, that's gonna be where we get the tech for summoning the different personas in Limbus.
