Public submissions for new design of Illinois state flag will soon be accepted

Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias said public submissions for a new design will be accepted starting Tuesday.

Ten of those designs will be selected.

After a public feedback period, the general assembly will decide whether to adopt a new flag or keep the current one.

Visit www.ilsos.gov or submit designs via mail addressed to Illinois Flag Commission, Howlett Building, Room 476, 501 S. Second St., Springfield, IL 62756.

Minnesota unveiled its new flag in December 2023, using a similar method to the one adopted by Illinois, a news release from Giannoulias' office Wednesday said. Both Michigan and Maine are also considering an official change in their state flags, the release said.

Jews and libs import minorities into Chicago and then price them out of cost of living so they migrate to working class rust belt cities and bleed them dry. Then once property values have been devastated, the jews scoop it all up for cheap, gentrify it and market it to their wealthy-but-not-really lib puppets as the next hip diverse spot, who drive up the cost of living, and the cycle continues. This happens everywhere, it's just particularly conspicuous around Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, etc. because of their juxtaposition against the rural working class heartland.

On topic, just wipe your ass with the Constitution and hang that up.

I mean sure, the people trying to stylize it are fucking it up worse than they have to. But beyond just that, it's a legitimately technically difficult song to sing, and in particular, it's not one that degrades well when someone isn't a classically trained singer. You have to have a pretty wide vocal range to correctly sing the Star Spangled Banner.

An untrained singer trying to sing it sounds surprisingly bad and we mostly only give them a break when they're like high school performers at a football game or something.

But again, back to my original point, something you can sing drunk with friends in a bar is more accessible to the average person.

Like as faggy as Canada is, Oh Canada is a much better anthem than ours in that regard. It's surprising they haven't yet torn it down and replaced it with some sort of lyrics about indigenous tranny cock or noble MAID or something.

If they're gonna change it at least try to take inspiration from the Sesquicentennial flag. It would look good if you take out the shape of the state inside the i.
But I know for sure they'll just pick a terrible one that features some African flag or some other gay shit.

maybe 10-15 years ago, Chicago has been outsourcing it’s niggers to the greater state for a long time. Many towns were ruined by free housing programs that they gave to inner city niggers and not the poor of the town. Even the towns with better industries are getting overrun by rude and nasty indians now.
The state is totally fucked, the only way you’re going to live safely is living in the boonies or one of those exo-towns attached near a bigger town. and even then those places have huge drug problems.

This! So much this! And it needs no more than three colours and they need to either be horizontal or vertical bars, or some sort of cross pattern.
 
I fucking hate the incessant changing of flags, especially for “marketability” or for “modernity.” A flag design not only represents something, but also carries the history of its establishment in its design and acts as a symbolic time capsule. Flags should only be changed when a sovereign nation or state has been conquered by another.

Most state flags are ugly as all hell, so them striving to get on Texas's or atleast Utah's level is not a bad thing
